I Need a real android apps expert - General Questions and Answers

Ok so this is not for everyone. When looking a pictures on the web, they are allllllll temporarily downloaded to your phone, and if you copy a picture it copied the path/location of the picture on your phone e.g
content://com.android.chrome.FileProvider/images/screenshot/16116643512281849111672.png
When you use Windows to upload a photo, it opens a "file dialogue box" which allows you to either choose a photo from your computer, or insert a location/path which can also be a web address
When you use a mobile app to upload a photo it only prompts you to insert a photo from your phone. So you have to re-download a picture that is already in your phone so you can choose it to re-upload it. Sounds crazy and it is
I'm looking for an Android app that when prompted for a photo will open a dialogue box that will also allow you to insert a location/path including a web address. If there such a beast?

[APP][SUGGESTION] Auto E-mailer

So I'd do this myself but haven't made the time to. This is more of a request / suggestion for an application. Basically every time you take a photo or a video the application automatically email's the file to any email's you entered into the application. I'm sure its possible since the photo bucket application can upload new photos automatically.
In case you are not aware of why this is useful, basically every photo and video service can accept emails for uploading. Like flickr, facebook, even youtube.
So the program should check the camera's default folder (which should be able to be set in the program) one for new videos and one for new photos. And then use two input fields one for email addresses for new photos and one for addresses for new videos, and then send an email (with some default tags, titles, etc, also able to be set in the program). Then of course you can go through the photos when you get home.
Anyhow if anyone wants to work on this or thinks its a good idea, let me know.

[Q] Default app behavior for adding attachments

So I've been using my OPO for several months now and love it, but there's one aspect of it that I haven't been able to fix just yet. I'm not sure if this stems from moving to 4.4 from 4.2 or something rolled into the stock CM11 rom.
With my past Android phones, when I would go to attach a photo to a text message or send one via skype or another app, it would ask me for what app to use. I use quickpic as my default gallery app so I would select that as my default for that action and all was well with future attachments. With the OPO I don't get a prompt at all and instead it directs me to a "recent files" view where everything that I have recently saved or modified on the device is displayed.
Along the left side it lists all the file browsing apps and services on the device (stock gallery, G+ photos, file manager, dropbox, quickpic, etc) which I can then press and it will load that app for me to choose the file I want. I just want it to go directly into quickpic and skip all that other nonsense but I can't figure out how to make it do that.
I've reset the default apps on the device in hopes that this was some system app that was taking over, but it still does not bring up the "default app" prompt to let me choose what I want. I have attached a screenshot of what comes up.
Any ideas how to override this behavior and get back the use of my gallery app?

Saved Photo > Ebay -- Is it possible

Took a picture with the Phab to post on eBay but eBay's "add photo" link only opens camera, doesn't allow posting saved image.
So I uploaded photo to Google Drive, opened Drive on Win10 computer, selected image and clicked "Download". But that only causes a "Checking for viruses" pop-up to appear, briefly. Nothing actually downloads.
So I selected photo in Drive again and clicked "Copy". But that copies nothing to Windows, only causes duplicate to appear in Drive.
Is it possible to get a photo from Phab2Pro to ebay anymore? Without Putin?
[Added] The browser is Opera sooo... dunno, maybe that's the problem. The virus-check pop-up message doesn't say what's generating it. It's only up for less than a second so opening Task Manager won't help. But, since I don't use a non-stock virus scanner, it has to be Microsoft's bundled product unless... Could Opera be blocking photo downloading from Google Drive? After clicking Opera's download icon (the circle around a down-pointing arrow, located in the upper right corner of the window), a drop-down appears with a list of my failed attempts to snag the photo from Google Drive. Under each attempt, in red writing, it says, "Interrupted: Forbidden". Jeez.
[2nd Edit] Opened drive.google.com in Microsoft's bundled Internet Explorer--no joy. Same brief pop-up virus-scan message, disappearing as soon as it appears. Same (unexplained) failure to download.
Got it!
I was able to get a photo from my Phab-phone to Windows > eBay, despite their best efforts! I emailed the pic from the phone to an extra gmail account, then opening that account in Windows. Downloading from gmail hasn't been buggered yet so I was able to get the file onto the Windows computer. From the Windows hard drive eBay does allow posting saved images. HOORAY!
Another couple of years of "improvements" at Windows, Google & eBay and not a damned thing will work...
Internet explorer works, sort of...
Internet Explorer did download a photo file from drive.google.com, but not to the default Download folder. Searching the hard drive for the name of the picture file, I found it here:
C:\Users\dv7-6b78us\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Low\IE\UJ9NBK8M

Send Pic to PC

I have a Western Digital My Cloud attached to my home router. All of my pics are automatically uploaded to it. I also have all of the pics my wife takes from her phone uploaded to her directory on the my cloud.
My wife uses a chat app called Kakao. She gets all kids of pics, gifs and mp4s sent to her. Many she would like to keep in her folder on the my cloud.
I am looking for an easy way for her to send these pics, gifs and mp4s to her folder.
What I would really like is an app that would come up with the "Share" button. I would like to configure the app to automatically send the file to her directory on the my cloud. If she then clicked the button, the file she wanted to share would automatically go to her folder on the my cloud over wifi.
My wife really never learned computers or smart phones. She will not be able to choose folders or copy or move or anything like that.
All Im really looking for is a way that she can select the pic that someone sends her, and with one click send it to her folder on the home PC or to our Network Attached Storage device.
Any ideas?

How can I export contacts from POCO X3 NFC to PC ?

I can't find how to export all contacts to PC. The user manual is just childish stupid !
This must include all data (Name, phone numbers, etc)
Must I connect the device to a usb port or wifi and upload to cloud ?
Are they located on simcard or somewhere inside the device ?
1: Open Contacts app separately. (Not through dialer.)
2: Press 3 dots top right.
3: Select All
4: Click the share button.
5: From there you can choose to share it or save it locally on your phone which can then be copied to PC.
All contacts will be condensed into one .vcf file which is recognised by all phones.
All the best.
Thank you Alrich
After creating the vcf file:
I see the share icon. The wanted choice for me would be to send that file to the PC.
The Poco X3 NFC is usb connected to my pc with function file transfer allowed.
On the Poco screen I assume that the 'monitor' icon is the symbol for local pc ?
Clicking that option opens right away the app Casten which is asking access (3 options shown).
This app seems to be mandatory. I would have expected instantaneous copy operation instead of again another app authorization.
So far so good. But what to do with issue ‘Casten' ?
Even when going in this application settings and allowing 'location' I keep turning in a loop.

Can't you simply send the file to your email account and then download it on your PC?
I now try #4 (sharing with my gmail account).
The process shows a large spinning wheel and above a text Informatie controleren ... (Dutch). This seems to spin for ever.
By the way, I will change the language to English, for the purpose of reporting exactly what appears on screen..
At #3
I made a faulty assumption. The 'screen' icon is not for pc sharing. It seems to be for sharing the vcf file on screens ! What the hell has "exporting contacts" to do with sharing screens. Very confusing.

No idea what that might be. Maybe you have many contacts.
You can also try this:
Contacts - Share
And then select a file manager app. That way you can simply save the vcf file on your phone.
Then connect your phone to your PC and then copy the vcf file over
Meanwhile I managed to store Contacts on my PC.
But first, let me tell what NOT to do : Exporting to merged CSV file would be ok, if Excel would open that in a usual view. That however is not the case because Excel shows a useless scrambled view mixing all commas and data.
I found a free software that converts the csv file to another file that shows a normal view in Excel. Download from SourceForge https://sourceforge.net/projects/bulkvcftocsv/
Using that software Excel opens all Contacts as a normal sheet. This is easy to edit.
I assume that it can be used to import in iPhone devices.
No need to export contacts to pc via Google account, but you might like to do that also.
I do not know if there is any other easier method. Eventually why make things too simple if there is a more difficult way ?
#7 came was read after my fix described in #8. I might like to try it later

Possible cause: CSV standard is Comma Separated Values; in my experience and unless properly configured, Excel expects Colon Separated Values...
