most recent rom that uses proper spen apps etc - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all - I used Gnabo rom for the last few years but some apps I need to use are android 5.1 and above.
Are there any Roms like Gnabo that use 5.1 or above? I'd love to have the Samsung apps as they work so beautifully
Thanks in advance!

Samsung rom is what you need or try alternative spen apps etc .

S5 TW apps that work with S5 mini

I am running latest stock Touchwiz (5.1.1) on my G800H and have found out that some apps that Samsung only makes available for S5 work just fine with the mini as well. Simply download and install the apks, no root needed:
1. Internet (Samsung browser)
Everything works, even fingerprint scanner features.

2. Game Tuner
Just install GameService 1.0.2 as newer ones require Marshmallow.

Probably other apps work, feel free to share your thoughts.
Cheers

Edge features doesn't work (display off)

Hello,
Can you tell me why edge features on updated XtreStoLite with stock kernel doesn't work? I have G920F. Addon like People and Quick Apps works, what I mean is functions with display off like this.
I tried some custom kernels like Arter, Adam, SpaceX without success. It works in moment when I install G925 rom with G925 kernel, but with touch inverted (FW update didn't work because same version).
Thank you for helping me

Newest ROM for my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P900?

Newest ROM for my Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P900?
Looking for ANY rom for my tablet. My tablet are very slow, and needs at ROM upgrade.
What do you recommend?
Or your opinion on best ROM
Our opinions aren't as important as your own since it's ultimately your device.
What do you prefer - Samsung's baked in features in Touchwiz including the integrated S-Pen features, or do you prefer a cleaner Android experience without the S-Pen integration (though the pen will still work) ?
The "latest" stock Samsung firmware is basically 5.0.2.
I'm currently using Civato's ROM since I like the pen and multiwindow integration.

CM 13.0 but you'll loose a lot of Samsung's built in apps and quality of life usability features because the TouchWiz framework only functions for Android 5.0.2. Have you tried the debloated rom versions of the stock and non-stock Andriod 5.0.2 roms? Personally I'm eagerly awaiting a android 7.x.x release for the 12.2 pro P900 but it has yet to be released by rom developers mainly because Nougat (7.0) is still very young in its release cycle.

Galaxy tab 2 10.1 P5110 - Latest stable Android based OS?

Hi everybody,
I am now using a Galaxy tab 2 P5110, running under Android 4.1.2, not rooted.
My problem is that my Tab is really slow when I use basic apps (chrome, office apps).
In order to get a bit more power from it (removing the Samsung layout, but I know it's a 2012 tablet...) I am looking for the most stable ROM I could use, and if possible running under a quite recent android version.
I am quite new to this kind of manipulations, so I am also looking for a tutorial to instal the ROM you could advice me.
I know I have to root my tab before doing anything. Does the tutorial available here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657056 - by Weltwon) work with 4.1.2 android version?
Thank you all for your answers!

Edit: I have an other question. Is the root enough to remove the Samsung touchwizz layer? If yes, how to do it?
Lineage OS 13.0
You could get a Lineage OS 13.0 nightly, and from my experience those are fairly stable.

For starters if you want to get rid of TouchWiz you can remove all of the bloatware and Samsung apps (like TouchWiz home, AccuWeather widget, Samsung Apps, Group play).
But I recommend just install custom ROM. Maybe cm11 or cm12.. I am using Dhollmen 4.4.4 on my tab for 1 years and it is working very well for me.
Thank you for your advices,
@tasnim_tamim: I dont know Dohllmen. Is it à cyanogenmod Android version? Which tab do you run under this ROM?
@orionboughton: are nightly versions if lineageOS stable? I have heard that these are update vert often, and some Android functionality can be disabled
Its a ROM based of SlimROM.. I am running it on my galaxy tab 2 7.0 p3100
Lineage OS 13.0
Lineage OS is basically an updated version of Cyanogenmod, so i guess that's what it's based off of.
I've been running a nightly of Lineage OS from their website at https://download.lineageos.org/espressowifi , and it's really smooth compared to touchwiz and the ram is managed much better. The camera works, the gyroscope works, and I've only had one or two problems (like root not being enabled out of the box, and needing to flash a supersu zip to get that running), and besides that it's all good. If you have a problem, rebooting usually fixes it and I've rarely had to do that in the past few weeks I've been running it.
Another plus is it runs android 6.0, which seems to be better in every way. Great standby time, 4h or more screen on time, etc.
However if you do decide to get it, make sure to flash with the latest version of twrp, and if not you might softbrick your device.

[Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 HELP]

I have just recently rooted my devices and installed a custom rom "Android Revolution HD" but now most apk's don't work, especially my sideload apps from filelinked. Does anyone know what's wrong and how to fix this plus comment with advice about tweaking settings due to I'm new with rooting.
Rooting is a one off operation nothing further to be done .All it does is allow System to be accessed .
Your apps may not work due to not being supported by 4.4.2 or as they are non Google Play apps .
That rom was posted SIX years ago .
Do you have any suggestions of a rom I'm new to rooting
Samsung based roms are old 4.4.2 and links may be dead and no support .
Android based roms are newer.
Personally i use last stock rom .
