No, They are both different variants. Don't take me for granted I might be wrong, but I never owned a device that worked with roms designed for other variant

The T230 & T230NU are almost identical. That's why we can run either or.(IR blaster....remote control is the difference) Now, the T231 is very close. Partitions are the same and a T231 kernel will run on a T230/nu. (T230/NU is WiFi only and T231 is 3G GSM)
However, the 237P has a different partition layout....I'm assuming the T235 has a different layout as well. Not sure if they use a different chip set or if they use the marvel chip set as well.
That's my take on it. If anyone has more info please chime in.
Anything at all for the 237p? I'm stock rooted and even removing everything and running at max clocked speed it's still a pain in the ass to use it for anything other than streaming my videos to allcast.
Hello everyone! Because i was tired of lollipop performance and bugs on our phone, i decided to downgrade to cm11. I found this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/rom-unofficial-cyanogenmod-11-t3216484 . But i cannot find a compatible kernel for it without losing wifi, so i have to deal with the screen flickering and subpar cpu management of the stock kernel. Can someone help me finding a kernel or making the newer ones work with wifi?
Have you tried the 4.4 Xperience kernel? Pretty sure, if I remember correctly, that I saw in another thread it doesn't break WiFi and had no screen flicker on L bootloaders.
I have tried the lollipop version of the kernel (XPerience29-falcon-kernel-test.zip) and it remains stuck at the bootanimation(no flickering though). The kitkat version(3.4.104-XPerience-18.zip) still has the flickering problem, it is outdated and has much weaker wifi than the stock kernel. The xperience kernel was my guess as well but the versions that work are pretty outdated.
I need it too, I want to use MultiROM with SlimLP as primary ROM and CM11 (latest build) as secondary ROM, but I can't make it work with Xperience kernel. I don't know which version I have to use.
It will be better if I could run stock KK as secondary rom but it's only a dream.
P.S: I am able to run CarbonROM KK as secondary (latest niropa's build), but I don't like it..there are some bugs
I rooted my S6 a few month ago. Since then I'm only using Xposed, but no Custom Rom or Kernel. Now I want to try a Custom Rom, because Touchwiz is a big problem for many Xposed Modules. I also want the latest security patches.
Could you recommend me a custom Rom, that delivers the security patches and is AOSP? Do I need a custom kernel?
It's a G920F with 6.0.1 running. I used CF-Auto Root to root my device. I'm sorry, if my english is bad - I'm from Germany
We don't really have any AOSP ROMs or kernels for our mighty S6s since Samsung hasn't realeased Exynos source code. The only one you can try out is CM13 but it's just impossible to use as a daily driver. All in all, you have no other choice than going for a stock-based ROM and saying thanks to Samsung.

Sac23 Full S8 port ROM on G935F, works like a charm and is my daily driver since first release.

SuperStock 2.7 with stock kernel , magisk, not debloated + replace with some s8 apps except camera , gallery, contact/dialer and some more that isn't important, + my country CSC with the CSC pack = EVERYTHING working, no bugs, great battery, performance and everything, knox 0x0 (don't do something special but that's good) and safety net pass with magisk hide.
Sac23's s8 port.. everything works smoothly plus moro kernel.
Sperman Rom (V.2.5.0) with superstock kernel (V.2.5.1) right now as a daily driver. Excellent performances, lots of customization features with good battery life. Using this one with S8 apps and SonyMusic_with_SSE&ViperAudio sound mod. S8 theme (light).

Honestly I don't know (I mean I didn't do something my self to get it 0x0 but I comes with my rom) but now ambasadii ROM 15.0 with add on 15.0 (s8 apps), magisk 12.0 and magisk hide enabled : knox 0x0 , safety net pass, device status official, and install the CSC of my country with the CSC aroma package that I flash after installing the rom
(Use the default kernel of the ROM)

Hi all - I used Gnabo rom for the last few years but some apps I need to use are android 5.1 and above.
Are there any Roms like Gnabo that use 5.1 or above? I'd love to have the Samsung apps as they work so beautifully
