We use name flox to show the difference between installation method in new versions of LineageOS on this device, which is not compatible with older versions.

나는 그것에 대해 물었다. 감사합니다. 14.1에 비해 17.1은 얼마나 빠릅니까?

Use official lineage recovery or twrp from second post

I tried flashing this build and nano gapps with lineage recovery and get error 21, then i reflashed ua twrp and flased it with succes. Then reboot bootloader and flashed lineage recovery. Booted into system and everything working flawless. Thanks for this build!

I'm stuck with installing an newer twrp or official recovery. In twrp 3.3.1.0 it says "Size of image is larger than target device", same error with fastboot. I tried the CROSS script, because i thought of a repartition error, but it fails after repartitioning and twrp fails again despite the repartitioning.
Ideas anybody?

I am trying to install your recovery. I want to do it from TWRP 3.0.2-0. However I get the error message shown in the picture. I have also tried to install the ROM using the same method, it has not been possible either, I get error 7 and the indication that the ROM is flox and the device is flo

What custom kernels work with this rom? Just looking to overclock the device for performance.

I update recovery with what you've mentioned, then install LineageOS flox again. Works like a charm.
Thank you for your hard work!

Thank you very much for all the work done and the time spent. Finally I have managed to install the recovery and the rom. The problem was in the partitioning method used, I was using Followmsi's and Clamor's was needed. I have a question: Is this rom updated automatically from the system? Do you have to do it manually? Thanks a lot

Hi, I'm loving Lineage 17.1 on my flo!
I followed the Lineage installation guide and had some trouble with installation process, like not being able to install opengapps with the lineage recovery, but it was fixed simply by using TWRP. The problem is that I used the official TWRP build for that and later on realized there was this modified version.
Now, I'm wondering, what's the difference between the official TWRP for flo and this modified one for flox? Could I have silently broken something in my installation by using the official flo TWRP?

I publish here the LineageOS Builds 14.1 & 15.1. I create them with the Docker Image from MicroG, but without any MicroG components. Therefore GApps can be installed without any problems.
I'm only testing the 14.1 builds, as I'm currently using them.
Info: the frist 15.1 was tested by me, but in the future iam only testing 14.1 builds
Thank you.

If you go from 15.1=> 15.1 or from 14.1=>14.1 it should not be necessary.

In 15.1 HWC is corrupt, so some apps are crashing( like netflix) Steel01 is hopping that he can fix it in Android Q.
In 14.1 all is great.

Ok, I just tried installing your build over the official build 15.1=> 15.1.
It just bootloops, Nvidia logo -> LOS load screen -> Nvidia logo -> TWRP -> Reboot from TWRP -> Nvidia logo -> LOS load screen -> Nvidia logo -> TWRP -... loop

Me too... Will try a fresh flash later...
I'd suggest wiping system but keeping data partition and then install the los 15.1 of your choice...
I have a feeling there might be a problem with my builds.
Has anyone done a dirty flash with gapps without any problems? (I only did this without gapps times and otherwise I always had to do a full wipe due to various tests anyway)
If there should be problems I would take the builds offline and test it completely by myself.
I did a clean flash for 14 with the exception of wiping internal storage and had a flawless installation.

I wouldn't take them offline for that really...
Like I said if only system is wiped, users will still keep all their data and app settings even fingerprint data and the likes... I would 'ever suggest a dirty flash between different builds of the same os even of they are both lineage os... Sometimes the device related adaptations are different and drivers conflict or the likes can arise because of this... At least that's how I experience it

Which Magisk build? Magic hide enabled?
I've never seen this not working on latest builds
You can't go from official to unofficial builds or vice versa without wiping data due to signing key differences. Anyone coming off officials to this will have to wipe and start over. Just like when I release unofficial builds myself.

Hello, everyone,
the August patch day is approaching, so I have now tested updating my builds extensively. I noticed that the 14.1 build is not updateable. It comes, as already described once, to an ERROR 7 error in TWRP.
The 15.1 builds do not seem to be affected. To control this I created a new 15.1 build for testing.
Currently I am planning to change the build image for the 14.1 version to eliminate the bug.
LineageOs15.1 Test Build
Please let us know if it works. And importent is to test it with dirty flash.
as already announced, I changed the build environment for LineageOS 14.1 because of the error " Error 7". I tried several workarounds (adaptation of "update-script" etc), but without success. I deleted the old 14.1 builds and replaced them with the new docker image from jfloff. With this I created two images on different days and could update them without any problems. Unfortunately you have to do Full Wipe otherwise you get Error 7 again, at least with me.
Maybe I'm saying something absurd but the other day I watched Avengers Endgame with MX Player and could use HW+ mode. As far as I know this mode uses mx own framework and the video played smoothly without major battery drain. Does this mean that at least with mx player hw acceleration is working?

Thanks alot.
What is not working?
I can't wait for a lineage os 19 I saw the source code for it and I know there is a pixel experience with Android 12 available
Hmmm... nairo-twrp-3.6.0_11.0_RC-1.0.img linked above boots, but no touchscreen (from V- + Power or CLI fastboot reboot bootloader). I have a twrp-3.5.0-1-nairo.img from a previous Arrow OS load that does... is that safe to use to load the Lineage OS?
Note to self: no, no you can't. Corrupt OS message from recovery after trying to reboot. Also storage appears encrypted still from "install Magisk" step, guess that should have been a warning. Sigh.
Flash back to stock again, sigh. At least that seems to recover everything.
we do really need a hero who can create a nairo twrp, this version boots with android 12 on nairo but touch doesnt work :c

Step 4 will prevent you from bricking as it's common slot_b tends to be empty or not correctly setup on Motorola phones.
Esentially it copies the bootloader partitions from a -> b

Hey wesley,
i'm currently trying to flash my motorola.
the touchscreen will not respond. i have waited for a coulple of minutes, but no avail.
are there any tricks to make it work?
best regards
EDIT :
My first try was TWRP-3.6.0_11.0_RC-1.0.img. This did not work
I've Downloaded "twrp 3.5.0", and i had to wait one or two minutes for the touchscreen to start work
TWRP 3.6.0 did not work for me.
EDIT2:
i was not able to flash the newest zip (03.24) on my "vanilla" phone but the first one worked well.
The 27.1.2022
Also Install the Pico gapps. i could not flash the nano package
best regards

As a workaround I used a keyboard / trackpad combo via a 2.4 GHz dongle (china mini keyboard) and was able to use above linked TWRP 3.6.0_11.0_RC-1.0

touch works for me after phew seconds on 3.6.0
The flash was succsessful to a lineage version. so the twrp is no longer a problem
I think my problem with (03.24) was a misunderstanding with slot A and slot B.
i can't change them within the lineageos bootloader.
i was able to get 3.24 running after a couple of tries (and factory resets)
one of the tries showed no mobile data available.
i was able to fix it with "factory resets" and reflashing until it worked again.
But then the gps was not working. a couple of satellites in view, but no in use.
until i found a note in my old google keep from 2016:
" fastboot erase modemst1 "
" fastboot erase modemst2 "
facepalm. so one of the factory resets was unnecessary.
so a small hint for all people :
1) wireless mouse is a good hint, for twrp 3.6.0
2) fastboot to erase the gps data, then it will work again.
3) pico gapps
can someone check if there is a wireless display option in cast setting on this custom rom ?
or can this custom rom mirror screen to a tv or mirror screen to a laptop (or a pc with a wifi dongle ) via project settings in windows 10 ?

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

You can do it without wipe, here's an example for d2s: https://lineage.linux4.de/fw_update/d2s.html
Just follow these instructions (select right device ofc) and after it flashed boot recovery and continue with installing 19.1.

Thank's for your reply.!
So to be clear the steps to firmware update without flashing full Samsung firmware are:
Put the phone in Download mode
Heimdall flash the firmware files
Heimdall flash LineageOs 19.1 recovery
Boot directly into lineage recovery
Adb sideload LineageOs 19.1 zip file
Can I skip Format data in lineage recovery after Heimdall flash the firmware files considering I'm coming from LineageOs 18.1 .?
My current bootloader is ver 7 so the new one will be ver 7 also..?
Hello,
I follow the instructions for a first installation to my Note10+ d2s
I have an error21 at the last step during sideload I get "failed to verify the whole-file signature"
I have check twice the .zip file.
Anyone has an idea ? Thanks
I probably made my case worse, I tried to install the firmware for lineageos 19.1 (d2s: https://lineage.linux4.de/fw_update/d2s.html)
And now, I have this "kernel rev. check fail. device::8, binary:7"
It sounds bad...
Just tried to reflash the previous recovery (lineage-19.1-20220524-recovery-d2s.img) but I can't access, just a bootloop with the kernel message...
Hi! Does this default kernel have the TTL module for iptables? (And if not, maybe it would be a good idea to add it?)
Actually, running iodeOS but it seems like it is based on this LOS sources...
Why twrp does not work and causes bootloop?
Thx for your Work Linux4
Hello. I want to switch from dr.ketan's rom to lineageOs. What should I do. Is it okay if I flash directly from twrp?
does it have themes? customisable? except color tones and so on...any custom theming? like you have in samsung store

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Good job.
I should try it later.
That's fantastic news, will flash as soon as I can
I put it, by the way, it is perfectly stitched through twrp.
The firmware is for fans of minimalism, there are no additional settings at all.
Oh, it's a pity, the days of cyan have passed.
guys, just a heads-up.. i've changed my nickname here on XDA, "infected_" ceases to exist, and "deepongi" is borned...

deepongi
okay, so anything special to be done on this one? flash twrp, run backup, do a full cleanup, flash ROM zip from twrp, then gapps, profit?

okay, I flashed the NikGapps and all is okay outside of chrome and android system webview not updating, but not a big deal for now.
more issues:
- NFC is inactive in the drop-down menu and it cannot be found in settings
- google wallet tells me I'm rooted even though all other banking apps are fine, I set up magisk with shamiko, systemless hosts and universal safetynet fix, and of course hid the applications and google services in the denylist. I'll try to figure this one out.
- video recording crashing google camera (camera error: can't connect to camera)
Thanks for your work! Two questions:

Did you flash boot and vendor_boot before sideload ?
I did a clean install with this way below:
(1) Extract boot.img, vendor_boot.img from payload.bin in ROM.zip
(2) fastboot flash boot boot.img
(3) fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
(4) reboot and goto recovery
(5) Factory reset -> Format data
(6) Install update -> ADB Sideload
(7) adb sideload ROM.zip
Derpfest Release Candidate
-Fixed Wifidisplay
-Launcher Optimizations
DOWNLOAD
E-sim is supported on this rom
Thanks
Thank you Derpfest for our Pixel 6a.
I installed 20230510 build (clean install, no restoration, completely newly seting up)
and then update to 20230522 build (dirty install),
and update to 20230524 build (dirty install)
3 days have passed since the 20230524 build, but there is no problem at all.
From the first time installation, there really is no problem, and it operates extremely smooth. Both of the 20230522 and 20230524 builds are also perfectly fine. Some bug fixes were done, but I didn't notice the bug itself.

There's no problem in battery consamption.
It's not that Derpfest is good, but it's the same with Google's stock OS and other custom ROMs.

1st newcomers should always make sure their on the latest official google firmware before flashing any custom rom.
Then the Dev could build with these commands and provide maximum compatibility for end user.
source build/envsetup.sh
Click to collapse
Then
Brunch bluejay
Click to collapse
This provides the Full OTA zip and is optimal in flashing via recovery, also provides a way for the Dev to develop his ota system. But if the dev doesn't clean his directory after it finishing brunch , would to be run these commands and build a full update image zip that's flash able via bootloader
croot
Click to collapse
And then
m updatepackage
Click to collapse
This builds the same identical builds , leaving end users better choices
