Good job.
I should try it later.

That's fantastic news, will flash as soon as I can

I put it, by the way, it is perfectly stitched through twrp.
The firmware is for fans of minimalism, there are no additional settings at all.
Oh, it's a pity, the days of cyan have passed.

guys, just a heads-up.. i've changed my nickname here on XDA, "infected_" ceases to exist, and "deepongi" is borned...

deepongi

okay, so anything special to be done on this one? flash twrp, run backup, do a full cleanup, flash ROM zip from twrp, then gapps, profit?

okay, I flashed the NikGapps and all is okay outside of chrome and android system webview not updating, but not a big deal for now.
more issues:
- NFC is inactive in the drop-down menu and it cannot be found in settings
- google wallet tells me I'm rooted even though all other banking apps are fine, I set up magisk with shamiko, systemless hosts and universal safetynet fix, and of course hid the applications and google services in the denylist. I'll try to figure this one out.
- video recording crashing google camera (camera error: can't connect to camera)

Thanks for your work! Two questions:

About ResurrectionRemix
Resurrection Remix the ROM has been based on CM , SlimRoms, Omni and original Remix ROM builds, this creates an awesome combination of performance, customization, power and the most new features, brought directly to your Device.
Many things that in previous versions were tweaked with mods, are now included by default in the ROM so, please enjoy!
Special thanks to, the CM team, Omni team , SlimRoms and of course to all the supporters.
All the source code for Resurrection Remix is available in the RR GitHub repo.

Please don't pay attention to the 'Download Latest Version' button on the top.
You only have to look at the contents of the folder!
Flashing:
Make sure that you are on the latest Android One update and you have the TingyiChen's TWRP!
Download the latest build of Resurrection Remix (A/B VERSION) from the link below
Copy the .img file in the internal memory
Remove any lockscreen password and saved fingerprints
Boot into TWRP and do a factory reset
Go to reboot and select slot A
Flash the Resurrection Remix img by selecting system image at the install menu
After flash is done, factory reset again and reboot into fastboot mode to flash the patched boot image for root (optional) (link)
Using fastboot on your computer, type: fastboot flash boot_a 'drag here the patched boot and hit enter'
Reboot
Bugs
VoLTE
IR Blaser
Notification LED stays on sometimes (temporary workaround: power off the phone and boot it up with the charging cable disconnected. This way the notification LED stays off until the next reboot)
Front camera flash stays on when you open the camera app
Wifi sometimes shows wrong MAC address and doesn't turn on (temporary workaround: reflash the image by formating system, data and cache in TWRP on Slot A)

So you are not the maintainer? Is this according to the rules here? Seems like copy pasted. NFC is not even available on the phone
Oops, I mistyped NFC in place of VoLTE. Sorry. It is just a guide to boot ResurrectionRemix on this device. No huge bugs, everything works buttery smooth! I will make a generic version for Mi A2 with fixed bugs and on my own source code. Enjoy!
Best ROM for good phone! Thanks!
Nice to know Treble is working just fine for our phone. The flashing process should work the same for other GSI ROMs correct?
In general it's the same but the flashing order it is a bit different. I cannot manage to boot it up from slot B yet tho'. The only one that doesn't boot up at all it's AOSIP. Resurrection it's the most stable yet. I am working for those little bugs and expect a source release soon!

yeah, thats the issue and thats why we need a proper flashable twrp.
so that we can do
fastboot boot twrp.img
and then flash the twrp zip file, which will flash to both slots. This way we wont have to switch slots. I know how it works, so it's easy for me, but for someone new to ab slots, it needs to be made as easy as possible. I will just wait for proper twrp.
PS:- i was just on Android 9.0 AOSP GSI. Did it the long way as I was not sure if TWRP is working fine or not.

Yes. The flash procedure it's the same but you will need to use a TWRP version for Mi A2 Lite.
For everyone: coming up an official version built right from the source with all the bugs fixed. The source code upload will take some time but I will upload the ROM in zip format so you can flash it using TWRP. As always, report bugs and general behavior. Thanks.

wifi makes system crash, can't detect any wifi network. Please answer for solution, this is a real problem.
Wifi works great for me. Try to reflash the image but format system, data and cache in TWRP Slot A before. If the wifi is crashing the system its because of wrong MAC address or damaged wifi chip. As I said, try to reflash.

Important Information
1. This ROM has nothing related to ODM images! So you don't need to ask/install anything like that, just follow the instructions.
2. This ROM will never work with any versions of Google Camera (GCam)!
3. You need to flash Stock Android 10 before flashing this ROM.
4. For VoLTE, you need to boot into stock firmware and enable it before flashing this ROM!
5. If you came from SODP ROMs, you need to go back to official Android 10 firmware, and boot into launcher.
6. High Refresh Rate switch is opposite due to my bad while hack sony vendor into LineageOS (NOT A BUG)

Damn what a surprise !
A big thank you for your build! I will test it as soon as I can
A member asked me if the stock camera was working properly, is it the case ?
Can't wait to test this! Does this work regardless of which model you have? I have the HK dual sim model, the XQ-AS72.
Will this rom work with the Sony Cinema Pro and Photo Pro apps? I can get the APK from my stock software easily. I wanted to know if I could expect the stock camera performance on this rom.

They are nice because they provide lots of extra controls for both photo and video. Getting the apps on are easy, just was curious if the ROM had anything that would inhibit them from working.
I'm super excited to try this out. Thank you ken442266 !!!
I've got it up and running, and its nice and smooth. However, SD support seems bugged. Its asking me to format and no matter how many times I try, it keeps showing as corrupt and prompts for format again.
Another little thing is the status bar being kind of inset, where the icons don't reach out to the edges of the screen.

But I don`t have any SD card.
So this bug will be fixed when I back to school or release lineageos18.1

Hey, I just test sdcard function. It works fine on my phone. And you have to format before use it.
It is likely a initial for a sdcard on LineageOS or something.

After looking into source. The padding or the status bar is by default. So I won`t change it. Sorry.
EDIT: May will reduce in some future release
Great to see this! Appreciate the work done here, I won't be using it yet but I'll love to install it in future with stable release..

@DarthJabba9 How's the Android 12 ROM's compatibility, can they be decrypted yet?

Nope. Android 12 encryption is quite problematic, and there is much work to do before recoveries can decrypt it properly. There is a hack that means that one or two devices can now be decrypted (only if there is no password/PIN) - but vayu is not one of them.
Isn't this the first official recovery for vayu? Wonder why there aren't more views and comments.

becoz it works so theres nothing to complain about
With this Recovery I have the same problem with official TWRP that I have no access to internal storage after flashing. So I'm not able to copy a .zip to it. Is there any solution?
Yes, you should have format data partitition, but read a lot before that action, all data will be lost and you need password or PIN if there was one....
Yeah, did that but I had no access anyways.

android 11 or 12?
Installed this on my Xiaomi POCO X3 Pro through the official TWRP and then through itself, after
Code:
data
was formatted.
The UI and UX in general is really amazing. Finally a recovery made for humans, which is easy to use and actually comfortable. It's actually NOT a chore to use this recovery!
Great job, thank you very much.

If you are using Android 12, you should switch to Android 11, if you want an easier experience with recoveries.
Additionally, you generally should use a microSD for such stuff, instead of Internal Storage, because the Internal Storage may be wiped, anytime. While the microSD (External Storage) only needs to be wiped, if you really want to.

the moment you format the data, you will lose the partition until you boot into a working system
if you want to continue install things, you could use adb sideload to do so
I also switched from TWRP to Orangefox and am quite happy so far. Installation on Poco X3 Pro was a breeze.
I installed LineageOS official as they are one of a few who have nightly builts / OTA.
However, I´m not sure if I have to set anything in Orangefox in order for the OTA´s to work. I´ve found the guide on the wiki page (How do I set up block-based incremental OTA for custom ROMs in OrangeFox Recovery?)
however I´m unsure if the LOS-ROM is such a "block-based" Rom I must admit that I don´t know what "block-based" incremental means , sorry
Thank you for any help

"Block-based" = "Delta" (ie, incremental updates that only patch the existing system in the areas that need to be updated, rather than full ROM updates). An example is the incremental MIUI OTA updates. Lineage OTA updates are usually full ROM updates.
Thanks @DarthJabba9 !
Edit: Got root working. Only encryption pw problem left. I did read wiki section

It is a unified build, so you should be able to.
amazing, I used many versions of twrp, all failed.
Hey uh, I just got the MIUI13 based on A12 update notification, but haven't downloaded it yet. If I update, will something happen? Or will OF just lose access to my storage until it can get the decryption sorted out?

Did you flash boot and vendor_boot before sideload ?
I did a clean install with this way below:
(1) Extract boot.img, vendor_boot.img from payload.bin in ROM.zip
(2) fastboot flash boot boot.img
(3) fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img
(4) reboot and goto recovery
(5) Factory reset -> Format data
(6) Install update -> ADB Sideload
(7) adb sideload ROM.zip

Thanks
Thank you Derpfest for our Pixel 6a.
I installed 20230510 build (clean install, no restoration, completely newly seting up)
and then update to 20230522 build (dirty install),
and update to 20230524 build (dirty install)
3 days have passed since the 20230524 build, but there is no problem at all.
From the first time installation, there really is no problem, and it operates extremely smooth. Both of the 20230522 and 20230524 builds are also perfectly fine. Some bug fixes were done, but I didn't notice the bug itself.

There's no problem in battery consamption.
It's not that Derpfest is good, but it's the same with Google's stock OS and other custom ROMs.

1st newcomers should always make sure their on the latest official google firmware before flashing any custom rom.
Then the Dev could build with these commands and provide maximum compatibility for end user.
source build/envsetup.sh
Click to collapse
Then
Brunch bluejay
Click to collapse
This provides the Full OTA zip and is optimal in flashing via recovery, also provides a way for the Dev to develop his ota system. But if the dev doesn't clean his directory after it finishing brunch , would to be run these commands and build a full update image zip that's flash able via bootloader
croot
Click to collapse
And then
m updatepackage
Click to collapse
This builds the same identical builds , leaving end users better choices

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
