Registration failed - 9860 - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have rooted my n9860 TGY , i have noticed that i am unable to do OTA , it keeps saying (registration failed) when i press manually update..
Is it related to root ?
I did install on Odin the latest firmware

Unlocking bootloader and then rooting will not work on OTA. Stock firmware can only be updated over OTA if bootloader is locked.
So you will have to manually flash your phone from now on.

[Q] No update available

Hello i have a N8000 and today i tried to root with N8000XXALGA_N8000OXXALG5_PHE_RootGalaxyNote.com.tar a Firmware with injected root.
This fails and then i flashed with Odin an older firmware N8000XXCMC3_N8000OXACMC3_DBT.
This works, but then i can not get any update over KIES or OTA.
Before i tried to root, all works and i got update over KIES to N8000XXCMC5_N8000OXACMC5_DBT
Can you help me what's to do to repair OTA or update over KIES?
Binar counter is ok and Status is official.
Thanks

What do you want ???
Stock then dont root or install firmware .
Root means no OTA .
Flashing different firmware to original may mean Kies does not recognize and no update .
Try returning to original firmware .

Have you upgraded to lollipop historically? Or is this the First Upgrade ?
I have not been able to upgrade my XT 1039 , I suspect is due to the bootloader being unlocked . According to Motorola the Upgrade will fail if bootloader is unlocked , see here

Having an unlocked bootloader, doesn't prevent you from upgrading via OTA.
But an OTA will fail to install of you modified your system in any way, like removing bloat, installing xposed framework, etc.
Sent from my XT1031
I formated , erased all , clean installed 4.4.4 LTE BRAZIL RETAIL Stock ROM, And do a clean data/cache ..
Ota works, but Calls don't work
"Please disable airplane mode"
Normal mode.. Airplane is OFF!
._.
Updated to Lollipop v.23.21.35.peregrine_retail.retbr.en.BR
Calls in same probkem
I see contacts in SIM
But Signal don't work
No root. Stuck ROM...
And bootloader UNLOCKED..
Imei is 00
And SV is 00 :/
I flashed stock rom Kitkat and immediately tried the OTA update ( OS left untouched ) , which starts then failed every time .
I posted about this elsewhere and was told this was likely due to the bootloader being unlocked

URGENTCustom binary frplocked was on Superman Rom,unable to flash stock firmware odin

I was running on Superman rom(superstock kernel)
i tried to reboot while suddenly couldnt do so coz custom binary frp was locked.
I tried to flash stock firmware(did not download it from Sammobile and it was a nougat firmware)FAILED
Note: Rooted the phone months ago when it was on oreo
What could be the reason for the fail? is it because I tried to install a older firmware?
Please reply at the earliest
Thanks in advance!
Oreo firmware seems to be detecting custom firmware and would FRP locked the bootloader and the only way to fix it is to get to download mode and flash stock firmware with odin.

Downgrading U5 to U2 or U1 on G930F

I have a galaxy s7 SM-G930F which is currently on U5 Oreo Firmware, i wanted to downgrade it to Nougat U2, tried flashing it with Odin 3.13.1 , the flash failed and i ran into an SW REV error (Device:5, Binary:2), tried several fixed but no solution .
i have 3 questions:
1. is it even possible to downgrade from U5 to U2 (i assume the answer is no but i need confirmation)
2. is it possible to install a custom rom with TWRP that is based on U2 (if yes - how, if not - why)
3.when flashing stock firmware i read that the bootloader version of the firmware must match the current bootloader version, how do i check my current bootloader version and the downloaded firmware bootloader version?

1. No it is not, once a bootloader is updated it cannot be downgraded
2. No not anymore since S6 because boot files reside on the EFS partition which is not altered when new firmware is flashed. The boot program is written to only allow upgrades to it, never downgrades (thats the easiest way to explain it.) The primary reason for firmware and thus bootloader upgrades is due to security vulnerabilities.
3. It only has to match or be higher. Within the firmware itself the bootloader version is represented by either the letter U or S, for example G930FXXU5ESD2. = U5, firmware is on bootloader version 5. It could have read S5, it would mean the same thing.
In the settings of your phone, tap >about phone>software infomation>baseband version G930FXX......
u6 bootable factory binary for g930f
Hello my wiz kids friends does any 1 have the u6 bootable combination firmware to share please

That damn can't downgrade message!

I tried to downgrade my phone to earlier Samsung firmware, but the download failed with "pit_flash_binary unsupported version". Now I wonder - would I get out of trouble if I installed some custom bootloader, then restored Samsung bootloader, then uploaded older firmware? If yes - can I get a link to some instructions?
