LG Pay on LG Velvet - LG Velvet Questions & Answers

My wife and I have the new T-Mobile LG Velvet. I am unable to find and install the LG Pay app on the LG Velvet from Google PlayStore even though on LG Pay's supported devices site it says the LG Velvet is supported. Anyone know why I can't find it to install?

You want to use Google pay to be able to make mobile payments. LG pay is region locked i believe

LG Pay is on the V60, so yeah, I don't understand what it isn't on the Velvet.

My LG V60 T-Mobile USA variant had it, my LG Velvet T-Mobile Variant does not and when I go to the app store doesn't show it's compatible dispite LG website saying I can download it.

[Q] Updating AT&T LG G2 outside USA

I live outside USA and using LG G2 with my local carrier. Is there a way to update the phone, as I am not a registered AT&T customer and I don't have an american phone number?
This works with any D800: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2662445
At least it's kitkat though it will definitely wipe your device.

AT&T LG G4( h810 or h811 which is the true model number of my phone) Need help

I recently bought a used LG G4. It is running on android 5.1 but there is one confusion. Behind the battery of the phone, on the sticker H810 is written as the model of lg g4 whilst there is h811 written on the top right corner of the phone. Plus the phone isn't receiving any ota updates of android MM(6.0). Is my phone's model H811 or H810

Only person that would know is who you may have bought it from. We cannot know without more info. Seems like you probably have a referbished device. But if you have AT&T bloatware and it says H810 in software that will most likely mean you have a H810 AT&T model.
Also remember if your not using the device on AT&T you can only get updates if you have an active AT&T sim or AT&T prepaid sim in the device.

TMobile LG g5 on metropcs

I've seen conflicting reports that to use a TMobile LG g5 on metropcs the phone doesn't need unlock and that it does? Can anyone confirm this
Yes it does need to be unlocked though its pretty simple to have it unlocked. I believe you can just call tmobile and tell them the situation. That it's a used tmo phone or whatever and you'll be leaving the country and would like an unlock code sent (that's what I told them anyway).
The phone doesn't need to be unlocked. I am using now LG G5 H830 from T-Mobile and I am a metro pcs customer. They use same network. No unlocked needed.

Lg g5 vs987 in Europe

The problem here is that my wife broke my lg g5 h850 and the priority was to replace without me knowing, minus any technical knowledge such as international variants.
Yes . I'm now stuck with a vs987 and a dishonest wife.
It seems this variant won't work with data connections..
In my research it seems LTE in Germany won't work with this mobile.
I'm unable to ascertain if I can unlock this or use another network or root or whatever else..
Please help a stressed husband

De-T-Mobile LG Velvet 5G

Hi,
I have the TMobile LG Velvet and I was wondering if it was possible to flash like factory unlocked firmware to the device so I cam get rid of all the TMobile branding and apps?
Thanks!
Cross-flashing is kinda hard on LG phones unlike Samsung; however, T-Mobile LG Velvet anyways have the different CPU from others, (Mediatek VS Qualcomm) so it won't be possible.

Thanks. I didn't realize there were 3 different CPU versions of the phone. I've done this kind of thing with my G2 before to turn a sprint version into a factory unlocked version. Thank you!
I don't know the answer to this however if you turn on developer mode on this phone (I have the 900TM version) and you have gotten your provider to unlock the phone, then do this:
In Developer Options, turn on the switch labeled "Enable Operator Unlock". I don't have any details on what this does but it may be relevant to getting rid of those vendor specific apps.
