Power menu controls
Android 11 has a power menu which is mostly used for home controls. But if you are not using any smart home appliance, the space is basically wasted.
This app adds handy device toggles to the space.
Examples:
Rotation lock
Wake lock
Screen timeout
Brightness toggles
Media volume toggles
Some setup screenshots from users:

The app will be evolved to add more controls. Let me know of any additional suggestions!

No. No way to properly enable airplane mode with or without root.

useless on Samsung does not work on the menu button how to add

Thank you. Makes the otherwise useless Power menu much more interesting.

I dont want to point out the obvious, but all those things are available from the notification shade....who is going to make it harder to reach them by pressing a button to get at them?

All these are NOT available in the Quick Tiles on a standard Google ROM. For example, Wake Lock & Volume. Also, the dev is asking for suggestions, so YOU could ask for something that is not available as a quick tile.

A. A11 power menu has useless space already, so this makes it useful
B. Power button is easier to reach than pulling down the quick settings
C. Dev wanted to make it, so he did xD

Nice app!
I would like to launch apps, like GCAM and standard Camera in selfie mode (using a shortcut or an intent).
(It may be possible to use Tasker for this.)
One use case is to do actions without unlocking the phone (gloves, sweaty fingers etc).
The behavior on My Sony Xperia 5 ii if the phone is locked is that I need to enable flashlight, then the lockscreen opens and I have to press the Power once to turn off the screen before the flash turns on.

I love the features added. But since you ask
The wake-Lock is commonly labeled as "Caffeine" in the custom ROMs I have used before (its normally featured as a QuickTile)
The Caffeine feature normally allows some default break-points in time for when it will automatically turn off. eg 5min, 10min, 30min or never.

Hello, great app I have only two notes.
Please add possibility to keep default brightness in WAKE LOCK mode (I use Mi A3 based on Android ONE and with button active it keeps screen awake, but after some time screen dimms)
Another point is to add button which would turn on MAX BRIGHTNESS (very helpful in some cases) and.. if possible such button would switch off/on AUTOMATIC BRIGHTNESS button simultaneously, or simply restore default system AUTOMATIC BRIGHTNESS settings after switching off the button.

MobileMagic is supposed to make your life with your HTC easier.
in the following I try to provide a quick overview what the
software can do:
In general it activates automatic G rotation for any app!
Buttons and Events that can be assigned to actions:
Rotation of your device triggers special actions

Volume Up (1 to 3 time)
Volume Down (1 to 3 times)

App Rules:
This are rules that deactivate rotation for specific apps or
force them to a particular rotation.
Be aware of that only DenyRotate, Rotate Potrait, Rotate RevPotrait, Rotate Landscape
Rotate RevLandscape are considered as valid rules.
So as of right now you cannot assign playing a sound when a certain app opens.
Seperate app profiles:
For using the seperate app profiles do the following:
1. Create App rule for the application you target
2. Select "Seperate Profile for App"
3. Save App rule
4. Select profile and edit
Options:
AutoStart MobileMagic
Start hidden
Stay On
Speed/Cache optimizer
GPS
GPS while power off
How to install:
You need to install .NET compact framework 3.5
Afterwards you can just copy the contents of the attached ZIP
onto your device.
Be aware of that many options only get active after you explicitly exit
MobileMagic and you restart it.
Please be advised: You use this software at your own risk.
I deny any responsibility or liability.

Nice app. I realy like the G-sensor functions.
Seems you can't control hard buttons. Been trying to add function to "Take call" button, but it doesn't work. Backspace doesn't work either.

Could you please define "Standby"?
Is it when you "turned off" the phone by the power button?
Or is it in case you turn of the screen, with MMs features.
Also could you let me know which tool you use to
check battery drainage?
by standby I meant the phone "turned off" by power button. I use Batlog to monitor battery consumption.
Now, with MM turned off I have between 6 an 30 mA.

No, GPS and WiFi turned off.
Maybe if someone else could test the application and give some feedback. It could be that there is just something incompatible with my ROM. I use Dexter Series (build from 15th december).

[APP][4.0+] Volume button app-light simple and easy to control different volume

Its small panel similar to the Android Volume control panel.
It’s very useful in case of:
1. Volume button stops working.
2. Case/Flip Cover that hinders pressing Volume button
3. for friends like me, I always want to avoid pressing physical phone button to saving volume button from tearing off
and its Free & No Ads
Volume Button is exactly the same as Android Volume Panel.
1. Adjust Ringer Volume, System Volume, Media Volume, Notification Volume &In Call Volume
2. With the White Background and dark volume controls, visibility in sunlight are high.
3. Access any time without closing app. as its have optional Permanent Notification option.
4. Consumes NO battery at all
So light simple and easy to control different volume.
White - Holo theme following Android designs and without any complexity & minimal Images. Its fast & smooth.
Keywords: Volume button, Volume panel, Notification, ring, sound, Yogesh dama, Govind Bhanushali.

Just have a look, its looks cool....
very nice app but it doesn't seem to be what i'm looking for, in fact i'm sure there is a volume app that will do what i want...
what i want is a simply slider that will stay on my home screen, something that doesn't require me to first tap an icon for it to appear.. i tired one app (widget) that placed a +/- volume control on the home screen but it was responsive enough... in short i would just like something like the stock slider to reside on my home screen (not an icon that opens a slider or something that requires me to slide open the notification panel), does such an animal exist? thanks!
Thanks for the reply

I am not sure whether any app do that,
i know few app those have widgets but again you have to tap once to get the slider for adjusting volume levels.
there is one app that allows adding sliders to notification panel, but again for that you have to swipe down the Notification bar.

[APP][4.3+] SoundHUD - Customizable volume panel & Lollipop silent mode fix (no root)

Google Play (and attached to this post)
Some of the features:
Multiple styles (expandable volume panel, statusbar volume panel, or just a thin line that stays out of your way)
Lollipop silent mode (silence calls, notifications, and reminders, but not alarms)
Long press actions (launch any app by long-pressing one of the volume buttons)
No root required (works without root and Xposed)
Volume stream lock (useful for media tablets, locks the volume keys to a specific volume stream, e.g. music)
Beta updates
I created a Google+ community for beta-updates and bug reports.
The app is based on Noyze by Tom Barrasso, which is no longer under development
Please let me know what you think! I would really appreciate your feedback regarding possible improvements and bugs!
This looks great, thanks!
Seems to work well. Is it possible to adjust volume by holding the button instead of clicking it multiple times?

Thanks for the feedback, Nico! Lollipop automatically suppresses the notification LED (and wear notifications) in silent mode, I'm currently trying to implement a "custom" silent mode, which would let the LED/wear notifications continue to work!

Thanks, GTvert90! Holding down the volume button is currently conflicting with the "long-press to launch app-shortcut"-feature, but I'm working on a fix for this (if no long-press actions are defined, a long-press should adjust the volume).

I also have this behavior on Xperia M with lollipop.
Not working on OnePlus One also. It the same behavior described in the last two posts.
Great app! I've been looking for something like this. Really glad that it doesn't even need xposed!
A feature I miss is long press to change volume just as the stock one...
Bug: installed the xda version, but it's only a trial. What's the benefit of xda over play store this way ?
@niko001 Is there any way so that SoundHUD opens ups the volume panel instead of the app itself or is there any other app that could act as a shortcut to the volume panel? Asking cause my buttons sometimes don't work. I have Cyanogenmod 12 latest nightly and can set up a shortcut to SoundHUD on the Navigation ring.

Hi xinseo,
yes, this is currently possible. Please long-tap on a free area of your homesceeen, select "Add shortcut" and choose "SoundHUD". Instead of opening the app, this shortcut will now directly show the volume panel.
Thanks!
Interesting app.
I have a couple of questions/suggestions :
The link ringtone and notification is not working. It just shows a single slider for ringtone but behind the two channels are not really linked.
At the first press on the volume button it just brings out the volume panel. It would be nice if at the first press it would actually move the sliders and show the panel at the same time..
Pressing the volume continually should change the volume. Instead you have to press multiple times to change the volume.
Tested on a Samsung S4 with Samsung Lollipop and GPE.

Awesome! Does this have double tap to sleep/wake? Also, on one plus there is screen off gestures, does this have that or will it at least retain those from factory?

Nice. Only request would maybe to have a few screen placement location options like middle balanced. Otherwise works great.

Hi, Thanks for using the app.
Fingerprint works on all devices for only on devices with In-Display sensor to get it to work you must be rooted and you need to provide your existing PIN/PASS in the settings so app will automatically enter it. You need to press n hold outside the clock and fingerprint sensor will come up
Soon I am goint to update the Settings UI where I will add a lot customisations.
Stay tuned
I cannot access the in- display fingerprintsensor by pressing the AOD- Screen, although I entered the PIN in the App settings.
Its not shown.

Did you save the pin first?
You need to press n hold outside the widget. Pls see the screenshot attached
The pin will not show even if you save it for security purpose. In case you want to chang the PIN just enter it again and save
I tried it several times.
I saved the PIN
I pressed and held at the recommended area but no fingerprintarea appeard
Hi,
i´m using your app on a OP 7 Pro. I do have no problems so far. The only issue is the batterie drain that´s pretty high. At the end of the day i´m at 50% batterie left, without your AOD at 75%. But so far, very nice app, thank you very much for your work. :good:

Themes / Apps / Mods App with Lockscreen, NFC and Wifi Quicksettings Tiles

Hi guys.
Recently bought the phone and have been enjoying it so far.
Couple of nags appeared while using it. The lack of doubletap to sleep and the lack of NFC tile (because I don't want to be blasting my google wallet all day).
So after some investigation and some GitHub fishing I was able to develop an app that does both. The goal was to be as clean as possible and avoiding having background services, especially continuous Acessibility services.
THE APP HAS NO INTERFACE!!!
So what the app does is give you an app icon that you can put on your homescreen. When pressed, that activates an acessibility service that locks the screen and allows use of fingerprint or face unlock. The lock is instant with no fake black screens.
The main advantage here is that the app kills itself and the acessibility service also kills itself so the service only runs for 0,03 seconds while turning the screen off.
You also get a "Lock" quicksettings tile that does the same and a "NFC" tile that activates and deactivates the NFC directly through the tile, updating the status dinamically.
Advantages versus other apps like Tasker:
- Zero background services
- Zero battery usage
- No continuous acessibility services that change how apps behave and introduce lag (see: https://www.xda-developers.com/working-as-intended-an-exploration-into-androids-accessibility-lag/ )
To achieve this the app uses the android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS.
Install instructions:
Install the APK, than go to acessibility and try to activate the service, it will be greyed out. Go back to apps, find the app and press the 3 dot sign on the top right, press allow blocked authorizations or something like that.
Then go to ADB (search on XDA or the web if you dont know how to do that) and give the SECURE_SETTINGS authorization with:
Code:
adb shell pm grant com.buildingromspt.lockandnfc android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
After that the app is ready, use the launcher icon or the quicksettings tile to lock the screen or use the NFC to turn it on or off.
Enjoy!

EDIT:
New version with Wi-Fi tile and English and pt-PT locales:
New version
Requires location permission to show the current connected wifi network name, you can disable the "precise location" slider.
Pretty cool! Nice work! This was one of my main gripes as well. I just picked up the s23 Ultra which does have the NFC quick setting, but I'll have to give this a try when I flip back to the Pixel for a change of pace.
I'd be interested in a similar solution for a WiFi quick setting - a few less clicks than drilling into Internet first.
Thanks for sharing!
I'm planning on adding a wifi and a Android Auto tile when I have time
Fantastic !! Something i was waiting for a long time on a Pixel ! Thanks for your great job ! I agree for a wifi tile and a transparent widget for lock the screen if it's possible ?
Thanks again.

There's already a transparent widget for lock the screen, I use it for a few months now, and it works flawless.

Unless the power button is broken or something, I think the hardware buttons are good enough to last a really long time. Other components are likely to fail before the buttons do.

It's easy/fast to lock your smartphone with double tap on the home screen, than try to find the power button at night, specially when you come from an Xiaomi MI 10 with reversed volume and power buttons.
And by the way...
Are the hardware buttons on Google Pixel 7 good enough to last a really long time?

Getting used to the buttons is just a matter of time. I would rather get used to the different layout than have an app that runs with Accessibility 24x7.
