I do, I have it. But if you have the device you can get the same file yourself from fastboot with adb pull command

Hey there!
what's the adb pull command? Damn internet isn't giving the answer I'm looking for. Can we use "shared" boot images or is that a bad idea?
Thanks.

I just went to the cross development 8,8pro,8t forum and nolimits 12.4 is there and others said it worked on 8t so I got it and changed the profile to just edit a few things and not go hog wild on changes and installed it just fine. I'm very comfortable and familiar with nolimits from my previous 7pro

I was messing around with it too much and somehow magisk uninstalled itself and had to restore and reroot and start from scratch

Hi,
Which TWRP did you use? I don't see one for and 8T on https://twrp.me/Devices/
I have unlocked the boot loader on my tmo KB2007 and would like to root it. I've yet to find a magisk apk manager or app that works so any info would be great.
BTW, I don't mind keeping the stock tmo img.
Thank you!

I saw the screen shot and noticed that the phone build is kb2007. Did you use a different boot image to bypass tmobile's software? I'm probably "over-thinking" this. In addition, I can't get magisk canary build to stick.

I got the unlock and kept the TMO firmware and left it as is with root and magisk. I used adb pull and used my own boot.img and patched it and made it rooted

It's more to ensure that if you run into any issues or brick your device, having your phone and bootloader unlocked will give you a way to restore your phone..

Looks like it's time to try and convince T-Mobile to unlock it (I paid outright) so worth a shot. They unlocked my 6T same day.

Someone told me it's not possible to flash the OnePlus unlocked version on the T-Mobile version because the modem firmware is different. I know the 6T was able to be flashed to the unlocked firmware after it was SIM/Bootloader unlocked correct?

That's for a Pixel. The OnePlus betas are unstable and incomplete. Also no recovery mode built-in.

Rooting T-Mobile variant question.

I'm on a T-Mobile GM1915 with a rooted 9.5.8 international rom with the EXKM kernel, I think I'd prefer to be on 9.5.8 T-Mobile rom for the best possible signal coverage. I don't really need the second sim currently but I need to have root and the 675mhz gpu kernel. Is that possible? What's my best course of action to get rooted 9.5.8 T-Mobile rom?

Great! Thank you for clarifying that. I was hoping it would be that easy. Now to wait for the unlock.bin... RIP Warranty.

The simple answer?
If you like to use TWRP and custom ROMs and don't want issues using them, the OnePlus 7T.
If you don't care about modifying the device, the Note 10 Plus.

Still requires the same thing as using custom ROMs, an unlocked bootloader. In this case, the OnePlus 7T.
Samsung devices these days are known for making things difficult when trying to flash Magisk to root them.

msm tool for 8t? for switching from tmo to international

The MSMdownload tool, if that's what you're asking about, is rolled up in this tool: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-8t/how-to/op8t-unbrick-tool-to-restore-device-to-t4180837

No! This MSM tool is just to restore to stock TMO build, for example if it bricked or if you wanna return the device after rooting or switching to international (whenever those will be available) this tool doesn't do what you want yet
Edit: I just realized he even linked you a different one, this is for the international version if it got bricked or anything to restore, there is also a TMO MSM tool, but as I said before there isn't yet a tool that lets you convert from TMO to International, I'm also waiting for it

Edit: I've got the phone now and turned on AoD. It consumes very little, maybe 1% an hour, way less than Always On App found on playstore, which drained 4-6% an hour.
How much battery does the AoD consume?
