A way to speed up fingerprint scanning/remove fingerprint animations? - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

I have found that the fingerprint animations in the miui 12 is what slows down the fingerprint scanning process, if you have the screen on, then the fingerprint unlock would be much much faster. so is there a way to disable those? or a way to speed up the process in general?

So you're saying there's an animation playing when you unlock the phone? I'm on stock 12.0.4.0 and the only animation I get when unlocking the phone is from a side loaded Super Wallpaper. Other than that the phone unlocks instantaneously. It definitely has no animation of unlocking. It's straight up ready to use after I touch the fingerprint reader. Don't know how fast it is compared to other phones but it's definitely faster than my ability to shift my thumb from the fingerprint reader to the screen.

Activate Fingerprint Scanner a bit earlier after waking up device

Hey guys, I got two phones here. The Galaxy S7 and a iPhone 6s. Both Fingerprint Scanners are quite fast. The 6s one is a little bit more reliable in my opinion and the s7 is a bit faster.
However, it is only faster when both screens are active. I can tap on it as fast as I can and it will unlock the phone. But when the phone is asleep and I wake it up by pressing the homebutton my finger has to rest as long as the screen-on animation plays and then the sensor seems to start reading my fingerprint. On the iPhone side the fingerprintreader reads my fingerprint immediately after i pressed the button (before/during screen-on animation).
I know this is really a small problem, but I'd really like to give it a try and hope someone has a tweak for it. Is there any chance to tweak the time when the fingerprint reader starts recognizing the fingerprint?
Does someone know a Thirdparty App, Built.prop, custom rom or anything else that could work for me?

[Request] Lift to Face Unlock

Face unlock currently requires a double tap, which is annoying because it doesn't work half the time
Even though they are trying to fix this in the next update, a better implementation would be when you raise the phone, it shows the lock screen (not ambient display screen), and simultaneously turns on the front camera to face unlock your phone
Gravity screen can do this, but requires a heavy wakelock to do so. Using the same 'raise to wake' method as ambient display [which seems to work without a heavy wakelock], but then showing the lock screen instead of ambient display, should achieve this
I would LOVE this feature, it would be a complete game changer!!
I use gravity screen and don't lose much battery
Use the power button since it's more reliable anyways ?

There's still a fair amount of battery loss. Oneplus raise to wake seems to be able to do the same action without any battery loss
This was so fine on Op5 and 5T. Open Beta, of course!
Update: I've installed the wave up app. It basically wakes the phone when proximity sensor is uncovered
So when I take the phone out of my pocket, it authenticates my face automatically and unlocks, in a split second. I don't need to touch anything
Similarly if I keep my phone face down on a desk (not ideal), when I flip it over to look at it, it unlocks.
No messing around with d2tw which is more like quadruple tap to wake since this functionality is broken

Hi i use the original flip case from OP and as soon as i open my case door it unlocks witch is very easy and convenient.
Shall check with tasker.
Update: could not succeed.
I face no trouble in dt2w it wakes as it's intended to and unlocks with face within a split second, face unlock has become slower since the 5.1.9 and in dp3 but still fast enough
If my hand is dirty i just say Hey or Ok google.
Agree. it would be a great thing

How to shorten screen lock disabled timing?

Recently, it's quite annoying that my siblings kept disabling my phone and causing it to be locked for a long time, is there any way to change it? I would still like to keep the screen lock on though.

Fingerprint Issues

After updating to Android 10 about 2 weeks ago, I've been having issues with the fingerprint scanner. When the screen is off I need to tap the sensor twice for it to unlock, but when the screen is on, it unlocks on the first time. I also have issues with the fingerprint swipe down for notification gesture as it doesn't work 50% of the time when the phone is unlocked, but it usually begins to work after a couple of minutes. Does anyone else have this issue with their Zenfone 6? I am in the US btw.
I think in general the the os lags a bit with this update I have the same problems with the fingerprint sensor it's not all the time I only notice it if the phone is lagging at times. Usually I restart it and it goes away
I'm thinking of hard resetting the phone to see if that helps

I cannot confirm, but I have these setting:
Settings / Security & lock screen / Device security / Screen lock - gear icon
- Automatically lock - Immediately after sleep
- Power button instantly locks - On
there's an update today on my phone.
1. Fixed an issue where ASUS Launcher and Settings may not work occasionally
2. Improved the reliability of Fingerprint to unlock the device
3. Optimized system stability

Fingerprint reader - is it accurate?

How accurate fingerprint reader is for you? Does it work fine or is hit-and-miss?
Moreover, is it active all the time, even when screen is off? Or I need to turn on screen first then put my finger on scanner?
Jerry Rig Everything has some details about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SqEY8j91tk&t=5m1s
Optical fingerprint scanner which needs illumination to work. It works well in the stock ROM, however, some alternate ROMs struggle with the illumination and therefor struggle with the scanning.
