Are you thinking about dd'ing all the partitions and then flashing them to a tmo variant? It would be risky but might work with a freshly factory wiped device. Of course make a full backup of your own first. Especially modemst and persist partitions.

So, not sure which version that file was created from, but the readme (script) basically says the phone will boot but not work as a phone, and to use local update to update to the latest full OTA. Given that we still dont have the international OTA, it's not gonna help get us there.
Also, while it does contain super.img (system, vendor, product, etc), it doesn't have other partitions like carrier, config, op2, featenabler, and a bunch of other ones. I'm not sure this will get us to fully international. I might try anyways tonight when I get some time.

Hi there! Did/do you mean 3.75 gb? I've seen the incremental global build at around 352 MB. The full ota are around 3.5 gb big.
In addition, I use mega.nz to host huge files. It's fast and secure.:good:
I'm just waiting for a fully working MSM Tool for conversion, I saw the others are complicated with issues on Windows using the script, so yeah waiting game is on!

UPDATE: I downloaded and unzipped the above package. Phone got hit with a qualcomm crash dump. ERRRggg.....back to MSM.

Yes it is from my phone BLN-AL10. I had full backup with data but that won't be useful so captured the boot+system last night.

For your phone we need like an AL20 (full!) Backup, not just system This way we can make your phone to think its another so we will able to install custom roms

Custom ROM is not the priority at the moment because they are not fully functional mate. I will wait rather doing it all night
had struggled sometime and took some good amount of time with some lost data

Would anyone know how to get the fingerprint sensor working on a Sony Xperia xz premium G8142 US Customized Android 9? I know you can by flashing a foreign firmware but would like to just flash a certain part of the foreign firmware to keep my firmware as US Customized to keep Volte and wifi calling on t-mobile.

I have the exact same question, that's the only thing holding me back to flash the us firmware. I have seen a tutorial on Reddit on Android 8 but I want to see what do the other people does first.
I would flash the central Europe version instead but I don't know the codename I think it is CE right?
CE1 is the correct generalized firmware wanted. If someone can figure out how to enable fingerprint on the US firmware that would be fantastic. I would love VoLTE and WiFi Calling alongside Fingerprint
I was able to do it, what I did was take certain files from CE1- put them into a new folder along with Newflasher and Partition folder and flash it...…..
I'll try and find the guide for you..

I did! No volte or wifi calling. Also no fingerprint.
From what I seen that guide is incorrect. What you want to do is only install the libraries that enable the sensor. I have flashed the customized US version and I'll extract those libraries from another build that enables FP and make it a flashable zip.

Lol well what they said is true keeping drm keys is no longer important Sony doesn't require us to fake them anymore. Camera and Netflix work perfect in Pie. But unfortunately you'll need root as it modifies the system even if I created a prebuilt modified system the device verifies system on boot and you can only disable that by unlocking the bootloader.

I made the zip, but managed to brick my device and I cannot get it booting. I refuse to wipe my data I'll release it once I can test it

Any zip with a .bat file inside will detect as a virus. It's not a virus. If you got a corrupt file then re-download it because you had a bad download.

Nah, see screenshots. MD5 is correct, archive is corrupt.
Seems just the TWRP.img is corrupt in the archive. Which is the one we world need to try out mostly
I'm redownloading it from the official Baidu Pan website, I'll reupload it in a few mins. I think it may have been AndroidFileHost as I extracted the twrp.img in the original upload without issues with AIK. Here's the reupped file. I can add in more languages if everyone wants. Unlocking would kill widevine Level L1... you would need to relock bootloader after in order to gain it back. I know this is how Google Pay has been in the past.
Fully in love with rooting my 3T and have done something I said I would never do, pre-ordered a phone before full release.
I'm curious how long people think it will take for rooting to take place on the Nord once it lands on our doorsteps. I appreciate it takes people time and effort which I would love to buy them a coffee/beer to do so!

It wont take a long time. Unlock bootloader, grab the boot.img and patch it thats all. For testing we can boot it only.
I guess this should work on Nord too.

This works only with a TWRP image for the Nord, which isn't there yet. So first we need to have TWRP working for the Nord.

should be enough to wait for a downloadable stock image from OP. Once we have it we can patch the boot.img from there. Creating a TWRP is also not a big deal once we got the fstab info

OTA is available now. I'm already dumping the payload.bin and yeah let's see if that works when I get the phone.
