Samsung A30 won't power on. - Samsung Galaxy A30s Questions & Answers

Hey to all.
I have a huge problem here. I've bought a A30S which was working awesome from the time I received it, about 2 or 3 months now when I power off the phone for short or long period of time, while the battery is full or half the phone seem to not power on at all...only way the device starts up is if the phone is plugged into the wall out let.let me say this again,at these time the phone was never drained.i took it to the store I bought it from, technician said he sees no problem with the phone after testing it over a week,he got none of the problem I was facing.
I'm going to take it back and get a replacement.

One S shutting down :(

I just got my new One S a couple of days ago, and I'm one of the lucky few (or many maybe??) that don't have a problem with the chipping of the MAO...
I'm having a different problem though... Or actually i think it's two different problems.
One of them is the following: (and this is probably my own fault for not starting up the battery properly)
I got the phone friday in the mail, but I hadn't yet gotten my micro sim, and I had to leave for the weekend so i left the phone at home and brought my old one on the trip, but i forgot to shut down the One S, and the battery of course died over the weekend, even though I was supposed to fully charge it first to get the battery going..
But here is the problem, and this terrified me!!!
I couldn't get the phone started for like 20 minutes after I plugged it in to the charger.. The power button just made the three buttons in the bottom flash a couple of times, without starting up the phone... Eventually i got it going, but it really scared me.. Now when the phone runs out of battery it still needs around 5 minutes of charging before i can turn it on again... Am I the only one experiencing this?
The other problem, and this is the big one..
Two times the phone have shut down on me without any provocation... I pick it up, and hit the on-button, and the phone boots.. Meaning it was turned off.
And this is NOT because the battery died, as it has been at around 40% battery left.
Does anyone know why this happens? And if there is anything to do about it?
Also am I the only one?
Try a master reset; if it keeps happening, contact whoever you bought it from or HTC and exchange the handset.

Should i be worried?

Hu guys. Long story short. I was out for awhile yesterday and when i got home i could not connect to my wifi. I tried turning wifi off and back on but it would not even turn off! When i toggled wifi to off nothing would happpen..................almost as if it got 'stuck' and also some apps started randomly forced quitting. I turned the phone off and back on and all was fine again
Then last night i woke in the middle of the night and hit the power button to wake the phone so i could check the time but the phone didnt respond. Puzzled i figured i must have turned the phone off accidentally so i pressed again but this time holding the button down as if to power on the device but again, nothing! I started getting worried at this stage and eventually though wait, the battery must be dead (no idea how but it must be) but when i plugged in the charger again nothing happened! It was as if the device was literally dead! I went back asleep and figured i would just have to bring the phone into the store i bought it from and hopefully be given a replacement but when i woke up this morning i decided to hold the power button and the volume button (a hard reset?) anyways the phone vibrated as if to be revived back to life and then powered on and has been fine ever since??
Should i be worried or what? Anyone have any ideas what happened? I can honestly say i havent tampered with the phone or tried to root or anything like that so i have no idea what happened! Iam just worried incase its a problem with the device as i have it around 3 weeks now and i think it has to be returned as faulty within 31 days to get a replacement! The weird thing is, its working fine again now with no issues?
if it's the sleep of death whilst charging, try a free app called safe charge from the store - admittedly, this doesn't account for the wifi issue though - I'd roll with it, but then take it back if there's any recurrence - 12 month statutory guarantee minimum presumably?

It wasnt while charging! Its as if the phone just died for no reason and wouldnt respond to anything until the following morning when i did a rest i think its called ( press the power and volume button together) Hopefully its not a serious problem as Vodafone are difficult to deal with when it comes to faulty handsets! I was told before the device has to be returned as faulty and confirmed THREE times before they will give you a replacement! In other words iam not entitled to a new phone . Iam only entitled to have it sent away for repair (which can take 2/3 weeks) and ive no insurance so not entitled to a replacment phone until it comes back! They will only hand out a new phone if the current one is verified as being faulty after THREE attempts to fix the issue! This is what i was told at least although i was told this 3/4 years ago

You're not entitled to a new phone - you could well get a repair or a refurb. Are you sure you've not enabled stamina mode, or one of its variants, and it was just offline overnight?

[Completed] LG G2 No power...Constantly Vibrating

Hey everyone 2 weeks ago I was using my lg g2 verizon model running android 5.0.1 lollipop and it felt from my bedside. Note this is not her first time the phone had fallen. I have a tpu case on it and it usually fears very well against occasional drops. That fateful night however the phone fell and when i picked it up it went blank and was switched off. I tried to power it on by pressing the power button but the phone just vibrated continuously on a second by second basis ( literally counting mississippis). I then tried to plug the phone into my wall outlet to force a boot but it just vibrated too.
Later that week i opened it up removed and reattached the battery cable and IT CAME ON!! Two short days after i rebooted the device for a new app but then it didnt power on. The same problem occured. I tried my fix again and after a couple of tries it finally worked. A week later and forgetting my phone problems i restarted ny phone again only to find out that the problem had returned. After trying my quick fix over and over again, nothing seemed to work so i decided to try troubleshooting the device myself. My results have left me baffled.
Ok so before you guys start shouting out solutions, heres what did and found ;
1) Tried a new battery and the phone still vibrated.
2) Unplugged the battery from the motherboard and plugged in my charger and the phone still vibrated. Lead me to believe that its not a battery problem.
3) Removed all un-neccessary components from the phone ( camera, screen, mic, antennas, etc...) the phone still vibrated.
4) Removed the power button module from the phone and it still vibrated when the charger was plugged in.
Note: I disconnected the vibrator behind then motherboard and held the phone to my ear while I plugged it in to my wall outlet. I could hear a faint clicking sound in a cycle.
Im completely lost sorry for the long thread but if anyone can offer some advice please help me i have no money to buy a new phone atm #life
Thank you in advance xD

Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist
Unfortunally for your phone this is indeed an hardware problem and i doubt it may be a software one...
If you didn't "worked" on the device from the software side i think the better way is to take it to an assistance shop or something like that in order to fix your vibration problem.
But for futher assistance i suggest you to ask overe here: Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Or here:

Good luck!

My Samsung Galaxy S 4g (T-Mobile) wont turn On.

I bought this phone almost 3 years ago. The phone was working perfectly. The phone is rooted. I frequently use to upgrade or downgrade its firmware. This problem is coming since 3 months.
The phone is not turning on with the power button.
When I put it in charging, the battery symbol comes on the screen with loading symbol inside it, for 1 seconds and then switches off. This is repeating infinitely times. And whenever i take it out from charging, it again gets off and won't start.
This problem is coming since 3 months. Although i bought a new phone. But i want it in case of any emergency.
Please help me.
Thanks
OK...here are some things to try:
1. You've had the phone for 3 years...battery might be shot...new batteries are cheap on Amazon.
2. Take the battery out and leave it for about 2 hours. Then put it back in and let it charge for 8 hours. If your battery is not shot, this should restart your phone.
It's also possible there's a problem with the power button...if that's the case, I can't help.
Thank You so much. That helped me. And now its working perfectly.

Help with galaxy s7

I posted this on the tmobile site but can't seem to get an answer. I have no idea what to do.
So I've had my phone on for at least 7 days. A notification from Samsung's plus app told me to reboot it because blah blah it helps or something.
So I turned it off.
Now it wont turn back on. Tired holding power plus volume down. Tried booting into recovery. Don't have a Windows PC irght now to plug into and try things , but will install windows on a mac via bootcamp.
When I plug it into any charger. Nothing.
When I set it atop a wireless charger. The wireless charger detects it, meaning it lights up. But the phone itself doesn't give any LED notification.
Phone gets warm while on wireless charging pad also. So it may be charging.
What is going on? Any advice?
Plug it into a charger, hold the vol down and power button for like 30 seconds then the screen should turn on saying its charging, then just power it it on.
Nothing. It gets warm when charging. But nothing.
Am I pressing it wrong maybe?
Strange that usually worked for me when i couldn't turn on my phone normally, can you get into download mode? Vol up + home + power.
Well this sucks i can't turn my phone on now, the battery was depleting somewhat rapidly so i rebooted the phone, once it got to the unlock screen it froze. Now no matter what i try i can't get it to turn on.
Today it managed to start charging, but when I turn it on when it's charging the screen freezes into a garbled mess, without charging it manages to boot.

Same charging from PC?
Tried a different cable?
I have a Lumia 535 that messes up touch if I use my Sammy charger, same if I use my Raspberry Pi charger on my Windows tablet, the touch screen goes mental
Try a different charger / USB lead
I used various cables/chargers so that wasn't it. I went to a Samsung repair center and they suggested that... I have too many apps installed and that's causing the issue? Oooooook, granted this was just a rep and not someone doing the actual repairs.
Again my battery was low and I decided to reboot it and I can't start it again, very strange. If I get it working again it seems easy to duplicate if I goto Samsung again.
Called my credit card company and they have extended warranty on all purchases so i'm safe, the samsung store suggested to bring it in if happens again and they'll extend my warranty 3 months too.

Too many apps installed... how do these guys get the job in the first place, even as a rep?
It does sound hardware related, I'd probably use your 3 months ext warranty before it expires and the S7 finally commits suicide
Don't think knowledge is a requirement for these types of jobs, phone died again after a reboot and I can't start it anymore, going to the repair center after work.
It would seem not
Hopefully you get someone with at least some knowledge to help this time, likely you'll be needing a new motherboard / phone, unless it's something a bit less drastic like a dodge USB port
I thought it would be the usb port too but i tried using my wireless charger and the light on the charger was on meaning it was charging but it still wouldn't power up, i had it plugged in the whole day today and its completely dead.
Anyway it seems samsung warranty goes by build date + 1 year + 3 months leeway, unless you give them a receipt and then its just one year, so mine was built in feb 2016 so it has warranty till the end of may without a receipt.
Ah well, I suppose at least you get a new phone / board out of it, even thought it's a PITA RMAing your phone
Mine was manufactured 2016.08.16, just two weeks before I got it, so I guess that means November this year without a receipt, but pretty sure I still have the receipt anyway
They replaced the board and all is well now, first time any of my phones failed like this, and it had to be the pricey one.
They did it there and then for you? Was expecting a few days at least, nice job
Yea I've not had any failed phones to date either, hopefully not this one either
I dropped it off at 4 yesterday and it was ready by 7, i was a bit surprised by the speed too, seems they got all the parts in stock.
Can't complain about that service, makes you wonder if they have them in stock and can replace them in such a short time for a reason though... hope it's not a common fault
