I should be getting the device in a few days and want to install EdXposed ASAP. I have found a few references of folks who did this but it's not clear whether it's on Android 11 or not.
If any one has been able to install EdXposed and get it running, it would be great if they can share the links to the framework and manager they used. And of course, their experience and tips
This would help the community of Pixel 4a users
Here is how I got it working
Obviously you have a rooted device running Android 11, with Magisk installed.
Install EdXposed Manager v4.5.7.
From the canary tab download the YAHFA/ Sandhook drivers (zip) . Note that downloaded version may have a different name from the file name in canary tab, in my case
Which one did you flash? Yahfa or Sandhook?
Neither one of those show up for me. I tried flashing framework and it says incompatible device.

Sorry for the delay. I didn't get the notification
YAHFA. But note that when I flashed, every thing was fine. In between, probably some Play Store updates broke camera and recorder. Uninstalling updates fixed the problem

Hello Everyone!
It's been a while since i surf in here, just wanted to give a tutorial about how to install Xposed Framework in this Redmi Note 5, check this out ( do with your own risk! backup is a must, tested in the latest Pixel Experience ROM)
Before you proceed, you need to have Magisk installed and make sure its working in your device. Now lets install Xposed.
First Step:
- Download EdXposed Installer.apk and EdXposed Magisk zip module Here
- Download RiruCore Magisk zip Module Here
Second Step:
- First, install the EdXposed Installer first.
- Then, Flash the RiruCore magisk module.
- Lastly, Flash the EdXposed Magisk module then reboot.
Third Step:
- Open the EdXposed app and see if the status is green, that means the xposed framework is now working on your device, and you can proceed to download and install xposed module you want. (Note: this is still in beta, so that means not all Xposed Module will work 100%, install with caution or you can check in Here to see the list of what working and what not so far.)
-Enjoy.
Sorry if some of you already know on how to do this, i just wanted to share it with you guys, since i haven't see any of similar thread like this.
Have a good day, hope this one helps :good:
needy guide
Thanks for that...
But..
If have ore supported xposed please share us.

Tried this on my whyred running Pixel Experience Pie ROM. Worked as expected. Of the modules I tested, some are working fine, some aren't. GravityBox developer is working on a Pie release, waiting for that!
No Xposed Installer.APK in FP.
This is better instructions:
Try type in Google
Install Xposed Framework & Modules on Android 9.0 Pie naldotech

What do you mean no apk?
You're right. My fault. I just looked at version v0.2.9.9_beta2 and not on the older one below it.
and how do you uninstall now?

Since I imagine there are a few EdXposed users out there and since you may be wondering if the new version works or not, I can report that it does for me.
I have stock Pie 10.0.8.0.
I upgraded Magisk to 19.1 (using Magisk Manager) just before I did this so I don't know if it works with Magisk 18.
I upgraded Riru Core from 17.1 to 18 (https://github.com/RikkaApps/Riru/releases/tag/v18).
I had been using EdXposed Installer (https://github.com/solohsu/XposedInstaller/releases/tag/Ed_v2.2.4) but apparently EdXposed Manager is newer? So I replaced the former with the latter (https://github.com/ElderDrivers/EdXposedManager/releases/tag/v4.3.2).
I installed EdXposed 4.1.2 (sandhook version) (https://github.com/ElderDrivers/EdXposed/releases/tag/v0.4.1.2).
I only have 1 Xposed module. No Play Games. It works (stops annoying nags from games that want Google Play Games when you don't have it installed).
I didn't try the YAHFA version of 4.1.2 (that's the hook method that previous releases use). Apparently sandhook is better and faster.
Apparently 4.1.2 adds resource hooking support which should enable more Xposed modules to work. I have a few I plan on trying (that did not work with 3.1.8).
Does snapchat work after installing it? And can we use all xposed modules with it?
I'm too old for snap chat.
In theory, EdXposed 4.x.x adds resource hooking so more extensions should work compared to the 3.x.x version.
There's a thread where people are reporting things that work or not.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/list-xposed-modules-android-pie-ed-t3892768
If you want to try extensions I recommend having the mm tool so you can disable edxposed from twrp if it causes a bootloop.

Hey guys,
I've spent all day searching for the right combo of files that will work for EdXposed on the newest os update. After a lot of trial and error and unbricking the attached files are the ones I ended up using and it works seamlessly. I found them from various posts/websites/forums so forgive me for not remembering the exact sources.
Do note, I'm not guaranting anything, as always with Android root files. Also, I'm on the OnePlus 7 1900 with the global 10.0.2 Android 10 file that just came out.
1. Flash the riru core zip in Magisk
2. Flash the EdXposed Sandhook zip in Magisk
3. Install the apk
4. Reboot
5. Dance like no one's watching
Oops forgot to attach the apk. Find it below.
If you use Tai Chi instead, you can have a nice and working Always On Display ??...
What are the advantages of installing it?
I remember that I used Exposed at the time of Marshmallow, I used the Amplify module on my Nexus 6P, it gave me three days of autonomy, really impressive.

Some programs require Xposed frame work. Also there's some modules on there you can't get on Magisk.

Anyone give me any info on where I'm going wrong or why it isn't working?
So I'm on Android 9 - Running stock OS, rooted with Magisk 19.4, custom Kernel SJ1 (MentalMusos)
I've installed both Riru Core (v19.5) and Riru EdExposed (v.0.4.5.1 beta (tried both Yafta & Sandyhook)) via Magisk and installed the XposedInstaller (by dvdandroid) but each time the app tells me the Xposed Framework is not installed. The app also prompts me to update it, which just returns a parsing error.
Also, not sure if relevant, but if I try to flash Riru Core or EdExposed modules via TWRP I get an "unable to mount system" error?
Thanks for any help guys.
Sorry posted in wrong section, thought I was in Q&A. ?*
Update for anyone that's interested...
Managed to get EdExposed installed. Seems DVDandroids apk, is specifically for Xposed. I used the wrong APK the entire time, you need to get the APK from the Magisk module instructions which is specifically for EdExposed (EdExposed Manager by ElderDrivers) - How I didn't notice they were different APKs is shocking and I guess I deserved the bootloop I got. I Think the mishmash of modules I had installed and uninstalled probably caused that. Or maybe because I aborted the setup process that Tab entered into once it rebooted. Learning experience I guess.
I'm not able to open the Android camera app anymore. WIth Edxposed disabled it works. So I'm wondering if anyone on Android 11 Nov update with Edxposed has camera working. If so, could you kindly tell me your setup (ie. Edxposed version, etc.)?
Edit: It looks like the Camera update from Nov 17 is what broke this. After uninstalling the update it works.
I have the same problem - how did you uninstall the update?
EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out ?
Uninstalling the update down to 7.3.021 is an okay fix... but is there any way to update it to something more recent without installing 8.1.011 from the Play Store which is definitely broken with EdXposed?
I tried the APK Mirror installer with a split APK, but get a "verification did not succeed" error. This is with USB/ADB verification disabled.
I tried an old 7.6 APK with MiXplorer trying to install with root and it also didn't work.
I don't think I use the camera enough to even know the difference between 7.x and 8.x... I guess I'm just curious.
Anyone found a solution for this? Only stock version is working.
Apparently if you clear the cache/data of Google Play Services, the APK Mirror Installer will have better luck installing other versions.

For pass the dread "verification did not succeed" message, clear your Google Play framework data. You will need to resetting some personalization settings (you will know when it happens) but install of 8.x camera app will work.
I had the same issue with edxposed and google camera 8.1, but all of a sudden it started working today. Not really sure what I did that made it work.
I was playing around with edxposed back and forth. Originally had Riru v21.2 installed (where camera 8.1 didn't work), so I installed Riru v23 over it. Rebooted but camera still didn't work. Went back to v21.2 or v21.3 and then went back to v23. I may have done a few more uninstaling/reinstalling and now camera 8.1 opens without crashing.
With camera 8.1 working, I have the following installed: magisk manager 21101, riru v23, riru-edxposed v0.5.0.6 (sandhook), edxposed manager 4.5.7. But the odd thing is that I've had the same apps/modules installed when camera was not working.
What I noticed different this time is that Edxposed manager says "Edxposed Framework is not installed" whereas before it would say something like, "installed but not active." That made we think that edxposed wasn't installed or active, so i tested with 2 xposed modules (fingerface and disableflagsecure) and they both work... so I'm pretty sure edxposed is active.
I also cleared the cache and storage on the camera app but I don't think that did anything.
I have the same problem

I tried it but it didn't work, it only works with v 21.3 but the modules stopped working. Hopefully a solution comes out.

I tried updating Google Camera to 8.1, immediately didn't work as expected.
Added to Exposed blacklist, rebooted... still didn't work.
Added to Exposed Compat list, rebooted... still didn't work.
Downgraded to 7.1, works again.
Before installing 8.1, I added Camera to Exposed blacklist. Just for safe measure also added to magisk hide. Rebooted, installed 8.1 and it worked.
Don't know if all steps are necessary but not gonna tweak anything since I don't know how sensitive it is.
Added to Magisk Hide, Xposed Blacklist, Xposed Compat list, rebooted; installed 8.1.101.x... force closes immediately.
thx, it worked for me. I did it after I already installed 8.1

I did this except add to magiskhide and it worked.. uninstalled updates. Compatibility list camera app, rebooted then open it. After update back to 8.1. and opened camera..works great again
What fixed the problem for me was downloading the latest canary YAHFA build in exposed manager. And flashing it in Magisk. I already had configured the compatibility settings for the camera module.

This is all I had to do on my Pixel 4a 5G also. Thanks!
For anyone wondering, in EdExposed, if I go to XHide and hide camera it works. Hope this helps!
Hide camera in black list.
Latest version of exposed, riru, and riruedxposed June 21 update stock rooted. Working flawlessly
LSPosed is a better choice
EdXposed has not been updated for too long
Anyone found a solution? I can't get it to work hiding gcam on xposed blacklist and magiskhide
