Unlocking bootloader question - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Does a message appear that device is unlocked on boot & does it make boot time longer as it did on my previous smartphones.
Thank you.

Poco doesn't have a message and a ! Exclamation mark to show you that the bootloader is unlocked . They use a padlock like Google and pixels and nexus . Is a unlocked lock pad and on the top of the Poco logo very small . And the boot time is not bigger . Is the same boot time . I tried before and after I unlocked.
Most of the reviewers like unboxing therapy from YouTube got the Poco unlocked . Check the reviews on YouTube and you will see the simbol on video

Thanks for the useful info. I looked at the video about unlocking bootloader and it is indeed an improvement over my older phones where I had a big text indicating that bootloader is unlocked & i had to wait 5-6 seconds more for it to boot (even with flashing file which removed message but longer boot time stayed the same). Also boot time is same as you mentioned which is great.
Thanks again.

[Q] Need some help with unlocking.

Hi all, I'm new the scene and recently updated to VRBLK3 from VRBLJ1 via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1974114. Everything went fine but my lock screen still has a closed lock icon. Ez-Unlock says "unknown" when i open it but does say it's unlocked when I hit the unlock button (but the lock on main screen persists).
Wondering if I missed something or if there is anything else I should do.
Thanks!

The "lock" on the "lock screen" is not how you tell if your boot loader is unlocked. Reboot your phone...the "Samsung" logo in white text should flash very fast (appear and disappear within 1 second). If it does, then your boot-loader is unlocked. If the text hangs there for a couple seconds then you are not unlocked.
When I unlocked mine I first rooted the phone. I then opened up the "superuser" app that was pre-installed with the root. I pressed "OK" on the pop up stuff then closed the app. I went to the app store and downloaded the VZW GS3 EZ-Unlock. Opened it up and pressed unlock. It says it was unlocked (via the pop up message) but device status showed "unknown". I did some research and people said the app was just buggy and to try an older version. I tried an older version but same result. I read someone saying about the "samsung" text disappearing quickly and mine did. So I proceeded to install CM10 and worked like a champ.

[Q]Boot loader relocked. How to get rid of the alert screen?

For personal reasons, i decided to relock the boot loader from my Moto G, i did it successfully by using the commands "fastboot oem lock begin" and "fastboot oem lock".
Now the phone says: "Device is LOCKED. Status code: 2".
But there is a problem: The "Your boot loader is unlocked" white screen still shows up when i boot up the phone.
I believe that since the boot loader is now locked, the message should disappear. But it didn't.
So, any ideas on how to get the motorola logo back?

Sent from my Moto G :3
I'd rather say : [APP] MotoG Boot Logo Creator + Flasher
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=26373621
Is my phone really locked?
About this "Status Code 2"... what does it mean?
And, is the device really locked?
If it is, then the boot loader will only allow me to flash stock roms right?
It's just here to let dev/tech support your current phone status.
Status 0: BL Locked (never touched)
Status 3: BL Unlocked
Status 2: BL Locked (should be relocked, BL was unlocked and then relocked)

Go to Settings > Sound and you can turn Vibrate on touch off under Keys. You can also turn off Vibrate when ringing. You can also go to Settings > Language & input > Google Keyboard Settings and turn Vibrate on key press off.
Try putting a case on your Moto G, some cases will reduce or completely prevent the rattle.
You could open up the back cover and put a small piece of paper or tape in the space between the buttons and the back cover. This should prevent any excessive rattling.

I think u r missing the point,he is talking about the boot screen message which one gets when he unlock phones boot-loader ( which says your phone boot is unlocked now and you are now out of warranty )
I don't think, there is a way back as far i remember Motorola uses software based hard fuses for this and once its blown up there is no way to undo it, i might be wrong but i am sure i read it when i was researching about this phone before buying it.

[Q] Problems with factory resetting my Moto G

Hi all,
I want to factory reset my Moto G xt-1033 (the dual SIM one) so that I can give it to someone and I select Factory Reset from the Backup & Reset menu in Settings. The phone reboots (I unlocked the Bootloader a long time ago) and once past the warning screen the phone goes black. Then I get the Android with a dodecahedron in it's tummy with a line underneath for less than a second, then the phone goes black again, then I get the Android figure, black and so on and so forth. This phone is also encrypted so that I can be sure that my personal data cannot be recovered once the phone is reset except I can't reset! I've left the phone for hours and it just repeats the black, then andy figure with blue line underneath ad nauseam. Any advice?

That would certainly be a good alternative, where can I get the files? Also, bear in mind that the phone isn't rooted...

I looked at cyanogenmod. The latest build is from April last year and is just a snapshot, which doesn't fill me with confidence.

From bootloaders, usually from the bootloader screen or fastboot, you install up the data from PC.
It's simple. This is an example : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2726041
A link to the GPE convert. Change your rom from stock to GPE. The fastest one, and it's not that hard. Just follow up the instructions and you'll be done. Ask me later for some help. Think I'll be online for sometime
I managed to reflash to stock firmware (admittedly I think it was XT-1032 firmware rather than the dual sim xt-1033 because I didn't know where to get that from at the time and I gave it to a good friend who's not very tech (and doesn't speak English). He gave it back to me last night after having set it all up as his phone and now, I just get a white Google logo and open padlock when I turn it on. If I go into the bootloader screen and go into recovery I get an Android lying down with a red exclam in his chest. Using ADB or mfastboot I just get <waiting for device>. Anyone have any ideas for me please?

[Q] Nexus 5 stuck on google logo boot loop

Hello everybody here at XDA, ( this is my first post here so bare with me here)(english is not my native language either)
My device:
Nexus 5 - hammerhead D821(H) 16GB
BL version - HHZ12h
BB version M8974A-2.0.50.2.26
Secure boot enabled
lock state unlocked
today i got a "broken" nexus 5 that is in boot loop with the google logo and it wont boot into any .img
At the start i read the pinned posts and found this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701
followed it step by step. but unfortunatly it didnt help my situation. there werent any errors or such kind.
i also tried this tutorial with other images but nothing worked.
When i go to the recovery mode and press the power button the phone get into the google logo and i can see some sort of strange stripes in like a milisecond but then it just gets into the boot loop.
i really think ive tried everything accept for relocking the bootloader but cant imaging that this could be the problem.
If you guys need more info please just ask me.
Hope you guys can help me out here.
Martin
Really thought XDA forums would be able to help me.
Any admins or mods or any other veteran that could help me out?
If that's not working for you, you can try using the Nexus Root Toolkit just to be sure.
If that doesn't work, than it could be hardware related, and not much you can do about that.
Hi All,
I have boot-loop problem for Nexus5 as described earlier .
As I was able to boot in Fastboot
I went for factory reset, and saw FAILED (remote: flash write failure).
I have tried to flash countless time with same error.
Then I read this thread and considered phone memory is toasted.
LG service-center have quoted me around $180 for mother board replacement.
Today I tried twrp project to boot in openrecovery and start an adb shell.
I was able to see file system of my phone.
These following folders are empty:
/boot
/cache
/data
In system folder there is only bin folder and which is empty.
/system
I have gotten this far, is internal memory roasted
Any direction or suggestions welcomed :good:

Are you sure your bootloader is unlocked?
When you boot the phone in Fastboot mode, does the "lock state" say UNLOCKED?
If so, then yeah, your internal memory could be huffed.

It says Locked.
I unlock it using ./fastboot oem unlock
I just got my N5 and was messing around. Rooted it and loaded a rom, but it would just seem to hang at the spinning dots forever. Though I didn't wait THAT long like some users did and had success.
I can't find the link I used, but googling around should get you there. I ended up restoring a factory image via fastboot. I ended up using THIS PROGRAM to root the phone. This program also has a restore option and gives an option to check in case you are in boot loop status. Give it a shot.
Yes I do believe you have to unlock the bootloader as well.

Yes the bootloader must be unlocked before you can do ANYTHING to the phone, it's what's there to protect it from being hacked/changed or whatever. So before you can write anything to your phone, you need to make sure you OEM UNLOCK the bootloader.
[Solved!] Nexus 5 boot loop at Google logo
I found a solution on Youtube comment (can't post url, too new user).
You just have to press quickly the Power button durint 1-2 minutes (continue untill the Android animation start, don't stop when the Google logo appear)3
As crazy as it sounds, IT WORKS
Wow .. i had the exact same problem (Startup loop on Nexus 5 that shows the Google logo and restarts, over and over), and i pressed the power button quicky about 30 or 40 time until after I saw the startup animation and my phone came back to life. I have been charging it with cables other than the one that came with the phone for a few months now, and it has been acting strangely while plugged in (randomly clicking things on the screen, and enabling my camera and taking pictures on its own, etc.). So, to avoid problems in the future, I think I'll invest in a wireless charger. Thanks JackNUMBER for the easy solution. I hope this works for others as well. Saved me a trip to the store.
