How can I tell if my bootloader is UNLOCKED? With older versions of the bootloader (at least I think) it was a white screen with all the text/data on it at the top telling you useful information. Now with the 10.6.1.27.5 update all I can see is the black screen with 3 icons in the middle. (RCK, Android, and Wipe Data).
It says so in the upper corner of the screen when Asus logo is displayed while starting the tablet

I have "no certificate to inject" on the initial screen (not going into the bootloader mode). So I'm guessing that means it's locked. Best tutorial to unlock it?

I mean it says "the device is unlocked" of it's unlocked

unlocking is easy
1.just go to asus.com on your PC (search for your tablet) and download the bootloader unlock apk (JB or ICS, get the right one)
2.connect your tablet to your pc via USB and put the bootloader unlock apk somewhere in your tablet
3. unplug USB
4.install the bootloader unlock apk on your tablet
5.go to your list of apps and run the bootloader unlock tool (i think it's called "unlock tool" in your list of apps)
then just follow the onscreen instructions
but if you are having trouble unlocking it i wouldn't do it
i bricked my tablet and i unlocked it easily, ran NVflash fine, and put on TWRP on easily as well, but screwed things up changing the rom
during the whole process unlocking was the easiest

Got you! Thanks
I just hopped over to the Asus website and grabbed the "Unlock Device App: Unlock boot loader." utility.

Sorry about any terminology...
Recently my htc one m8 stopped booting. I had rooted it a long time ago and had a ROM that was working fine for a long time. No recent changes.
On normal boot it sits on the white and green text 'htc' forever.
If I boot with power+down buttons I get to a hboot screen, but choosing 'recovery' takes me to a white screen small pink 'Entering Recovery' text. Nothing happens. To even get power+down screen to be available I had to move two zip files from root of sdcard which I guess were related to the custom rom, being 0P6BIMG.zip and M8-GPE-03-16-2015.zip
I tried reinstalling twrp after downloading the latest .img file
fastboot command
c:\twrp>fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-m8.img
just says <waiting for device> whether on pink text screen or white 'htc'
I can see the sdcard through a pc card reader and manipulate files. Is there any way to copy files manually so it will boot?
This is on Win 10, UK unlocked version of phone.

Is there an appropriately sized boot logo to replace the "unlocked bootloader warning" for the Z4 (I think it's 1080x2340).
Also a different animation without the annoying "Hello, Moto" audio?
Thanks.

1080x2340 is correct. I made my own with an old program, MotoBootLogoMaker. Google it. Then it has options to remove some of the warnings, just replace some of the warnings with your image. I just played with it until I got it right.

I made a basic one real quick. Just fastboot flash logo logo.bin It gets rid off the bootloader unlocked, but some weird numbers pop up that are tiny during the boot process. It has nothing to do with the logo and I can't get around it.

Go to 'settings, sound, advanced, power on sounds' to turn off "Hello Moto".

The numbers in the corner are your boot.img signature. You can remove it by stripping the signature in Android Image Kitchen (AIK). Unpack the image, navigate to the split image folder, delete the avb signature and the signature type files, then repack it. The corner will change to N/A, which is a bit better. To hide it entirely, make a logo with the same color as the text in the corner.

Does a message appear that device is unlocked on boot & does it make boot time longer as it did on my previous smartphones.
Thank you.
Poco doesn't have a message and a ! Exclamation mark to show you that the bootloader is unlocked . They use a padlock like Google and pixels and nexus . Is a unlocked lock pad and on the top of the Poco logo very small . And the boot time is not bigger . Is the same boot time . I tried before and after I unlocked.
Most of the reviewers like unboxing therapy from YouTube got the Poco unlocked . Check the reviews on YouTube and you will see the simbol on video

Thanks for the useful info. I looked at the video about unlocking bootloader and it is indeed an improvement over my older phones where I had a big text indicating that bootloader is unlocked & i had to wait 5-6 seconds more for it to boot (even with flashing file which removed message but longer boot time stayed the same). Also boot time is same as you mentioned which is great.
Thanks again.
Hey there, I was wondering if I can get rid of the Your device is unlocked and can’t be trusted screen, since it’s pretty annoying. I don’t want to lock my bootloader again, since I have root and such, I just want to get rid of the screen. It can even just be a black screen for 5 seconds. Thanks
Edit: Thank you @WoKoschekk for helping me! It now has the original bootscreen.
Flash the attached and unpacked logo_custom.bin:
fastboot flash logo logo_custom.bin
The warning screen is replaced by the normal boot logo. Here you can download the tool I used: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ker-source-code-included-version-2-4.2848667/

I have tried, and it works!! Thank you!!
I followed the instructions in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...of-root-warning-screens-hide-bad-key.3967463/ and used the Blue logo there.
It's not a perfect match though, I can see the blue color change slightly when it advances to the real blue logo. I also don't have "bad key", so I see a bunch of hex numbers on the screen along with the blue logo.
