Hey all,
So I got a Chinese version of the RN7 Pro and it obviously has the Chinese ROM on it.
I want to put the global ROM on the phone, is it safe to flash the global Indian ROM or do I need to first unlock bootloader or something similar?
Thanks

I had the same China Rn7 pro, If you want Global/Indian rom, you must first unlock your bootloader and after that you can safely install global rom to your rn7 pro.
Alright, thanks.
Now the wait begins. But if a mission being on the China ROM and have to use some work around to get certain things done - like import contacts and Google apps etc.
Making a plan though!

Hi, I just got the following links in another thread. I am yet to flash, but this is what I was provided:
Indian ROM - https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/...-2#post-487769
EU ROM (Stable) - https://forum.xda-developers.com/red...mi-eu-t3930319
EU ROM (Developer) - https://forum.xda-developers.com/red...mi-eu-t3931028
Hope this helps
The MIUI.eu ROM is available as well, I'm currently running it and some issues I had on the China ROM are gone.

If you wanna stay on stock ROM, just use MiFlash (check the "clean all" option on the bottom) and fastboot ROM for Global version you wanna use. You don't need custom recovery.

Please note MIUI.EU and EU region firmware is difference. MIUI.EU based in global firmware code MI. EU region is EEA with EU firmware code. don't get it wrong.
1. Miui.eu is better for me with less bloatware and still keep miui feature. Use since mi 6x and old poco f1.
2. Indonesian language include in miui.eu
If you want try it UBL and flash global first with MI code firmware last version. Step in Miui.eu rom thread.

sure :good:
You can but it's not recommended. Different rom regions use different persist.img (use a hex editor to read it). A different persist.img has different data offsets and it can mess with things like Mi account, compass and different sensors, activation data etc.
Le:fastboot won't flash persist.img even if it's present in the ROM folder. You can flash persist.img from twrp but again, not recommended to flash another version of it.

So, you will try to flash global ROM after getting bootloader unlocked?
My main issue now in 12.0.1 is the dynamic refresh rate or something like that makes gaming experience like a crap as hell even if i stay in fixed 60Hz refresh rate

Just saw an update for ID ROM to 12.0.3 from 12.0.2 (https://t.me/s/miui12_official). So, I guess it was a 12.0.2 update too
Hi,
i recently upgraded the device to the newest version of MIUI and Android 11. The new Android version seems to have some bugs in performance such as the fact that when playing games the device gets heated rapidly.
I would like to downgrade the firmware by flushing an official ROM.
But is that safe? Anyone had the same experience?
Also i am a bit of newbie so please also give some advice on what i have to do. What i have in mind is flashing a previous build like this one:
HMK305G_V11.1.25.0.QGICNXM_v11-10
or this one:
HMK305G_V12.1.5.0.RGICNXM_v12-11
Custom Roms come also with the new Android version?

No particular problem to downgrade. The bootloader must be unlocked and use miflash (more safe) or twrp to flash the rom.
The roms you indicate are not for the Poco f2 pro and are not original roms.
Do you want to downgrade to android 10 with an original rom or install a xiaomi EU rom?

I think you are confusing: the original(stock) Rom and the EU customs Rom .
The links above are customs rom.
Here you will find the original(stock) Xiaomi EEA or GLOBAL(better) roms .
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/lmi/
EU roms(custom rom) are better than stock.
thank you very much, i will try it!

Hello, I cant find stock rom for MIUI 12 android 10, can you help? I currently am stuck if fastboot and I think flashing stock rom might help
I can recommend Xiaomi.EU custom rom. Was in a similar situation (not happy with stock miui 12.5 poco version). Unlocked bootloader and installed xiaomi.eu. It's much better. No issues so far.
So I basically tried to unlock the bootloader to my Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5g and all I got was, "Mi Unlock is not supported by this device" . What the hell does that even mean??? Someone help
The only explanation i see is that the this version of the Redmi note 11 doesnt support mi unlock for the moment because its too recent

Yea would be good. I guess it sould be released soon
Update: i manage to solved the issue by flashing a EEA ROM instead of a global ROM (i flashed Global ROM before because i didnt know EEA mean Europe)

Thanks . lemme try
Maybe because updates dont release everywhere at the same time, its determined by the ROM
I read sometimes that stock rom is smoother then a custom rom.
I installed a custom rom the moment I had my phone, so I can't compare it.
Atm stock rom is smoother than xiaomi.eu. which I'm currently using.
My go to custom rom is Xiaomi eu, but sadly since Android 12 gone really laggy. I haven't tested any other miui or rom.

Hmmm can't say I've had any lag or issues on MIUI EU for this device. Referring to stable releases not weeklies. Works great
What are the differences between :
Stock
Miui eu
Custom
And where Can i find
stock rom
miui eu rom : for 2201116SG is the right one : xiaomi.eu_multi_VEUX_V14.0.1.0.TKCCNXM_v14-13.zip ?

I was on the Stable build for the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G for a year and it felt sluggish and it was lagging on every scroll in apps like Twitter or Instagram. I was like let me go and try the Stock ROM again and never had this issue on here
what do you mean "the smoothest"? xiaomi.eu is basically an enhanced stock version... I've been on both and the eu version clearly performs better, especially battery wise, with features like auto turn device off and on at set times etc...

The stock might be smoother but the EU ROM is debloated and doesn't have Google crap. It has more features. So EU is better in terms of Features. As for which is smoother it depends on the user. The stock is smoother for me but might not be for others. You might want to try the EU ROM and if there's something you don't like you can always go back to stock.
Thanks, just have to try the EU ROM and but the right good sd.
