Hi,
i recently upgraded the device to the newest version of MIUI and Android 11. The new Android version seems to have some bugs in performance such as the fact that when playing games the device gets heated rapidly.
I would like to downgrade the firmware by flushing an official ROM.
But is that safe? Anyone had the same experience?
Also i am a bit of newbie so please also give some advice on what i have to do. What i have in mind is flashing a previous build like this one:
HMK305G_V11.1.25.0.QGICNXM_v11-10
or this one:
HMK305G_V12.1.5.0.RGICNXM_v12-11
Custom Roms come also with the new Android version?

No particular problem to downgrade. The bootloader must be unlocked and use miflash (more safe) or twrp to flash the rom.
The roms you indicate are not for the Poco f2 pro and are not original roms.
Do you want to downgrade to android 10 with an original rom or install a xiaomi EU rom?

I think you are confusing: the original(stock) Rom and the EU customs Rom .
The links above are customs rom.
Here you will find the original(stock) Xiaomi EEA or GLOBAL(better) roms .

I can recommend Xiaomi.EU custom rom. Was in a similar situation (not happy with stock miui 12.5 poco version). Unlocked bootloader and installed xiaomi.eu. It's much better. No issues so far.

If you wanna stay on stock ROM, just use MiFlash (check the "clean all" option on the bottom) and fastboot ROM for Global version you wanna use. You don't need custom recovery.

Please note MIUI.EU and EU region firmware is difference. MIUI.EU based in global firmware code MI. EU region is EEA with EU firmware code. don't get it wrong.
1. Miui.eu is better for me with less bloatware and still keep miui feature. Use since mi 6x and old poco f1.
2. Indonesian language include in miui.eu
If you want try it UBL and flash global first with MI code firmware last version. Step in Miui.eu rom thread.

sure :good:
You can but it's not recommended. Different rom regions use different persist.img (use a hex editor to read it). A different persist.img has different data offsets and it can mess with things like Mi account, compass and different sensors, activation data etc.
Le:fastboot won't flash persist.img even if it's present in the ROM folder. You can flash persist.img from twrp but again, not recommended to flash another version of it.

So, you will try to flash global ROM after getting bootloader unlocked?
My main issue now in 12.0.1 is the dynamic refresh rate or something like that makes gaming experience like a crap as hell even if i stay in fixed 60Hz refresh rate

Just saw an update for ID ROM to 12.0.3 from 12.0.2 (https://t.me/s/miui12_official). So, I guess it was a 12.0.2 update too
A couple of days ago I installed on my Poco F2 Pro (via OTA) the MIUI Global Stable 12.2.4.0 (RJKEUXM), android version 11, RKQ1.200826.002.
After this 'upgrade' I am experiencing major bugs (1. no storage for dual apps in file manager. 2. Apps can only be installed directly from google play store 3. Many links, posted in apps like WhatsApp, don't open. 4. Under File Manager, the option 'Open in another app', doesn't work properly as the 'other apps shown' are not the correct ones. 5. No notifications for apps like WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger. 5. Some apps crash, .etc etc.
I have the bootloader locked, is there a way that I can revert to the previous MIUI 12 Android 10 (V 12.0.3.0 QJKEUXM) flashing the recovery rom through the updater without losing all the data, apps and settings?
Or the only option is to flash the fastboot rom with mi flash or the recovery rom with twrp?
in doing so, is there any problem with the ARB feature risking to brick the phone?
Thanks
flash the fastboot rom with mi flash is better but before you can try flash https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/lmi/stable/V12.2.4.0.RJKEUXM/ with miflash(cleanall option)
Unlockbootloader mandatory.
Waiting for the authorization to unlock the bootloader (168 hours), shall I try with factory reset to check if it solves my problems with the MIUI 12 Android 11?
Thanks

Then I will unlock and flash the previous version of the stock MIUI 12 (Android 10). But is there any problem in flashing a previous version of the ROM? I am referring to the ARB feature. Though, as far as I know, if there is any problem with the ARB, MiFlash will not flash the ROM.
Thanks

just remove a few lines of code from a rom file (https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-anti-rollback-protection-brick-phone/).
But ARB is not systematic, try it first.
And flash a global rom.

After the numerous serious bugs mentioned in my first post, i reverted to the MIUI Global Stable 12.0.3.0 (QJKEUXM) Android 10, and my Poco F2 Pro has been working fine since then.
Does anyone know if the major bugs (I guess mostly due to Android 11) have been solved with the latest system update MIUI Global Stable 12.5.1.0 (RJKEUXM)?
I am quite reluctant to install any update based on Android 11 after the mess happened to my phone last January.
Thanks

RJKEUXM = rom EEA
RJKRUXM=Russian rom
RJKCNXM=Chinesse rom
RJKTRXM=turkish rom
RJKIDXM=Indonesian ROM
Miui custom rom
Xiaomi EU rom

Hi!
I bought a Poco but the vendor sold me one with Europe ROM. I want to know if I can install a Global Stable ROM via MI Flash.
P.d. Can anyone give a official telegram Poco Groups? Tnx
I had the same -- easier path (after unlocking bootloader!) is to use MiFlash to setup the desired stock ROM.
Yeee i think so, cause I feel limited by Miui software.
I gonna try some ROMs. Any recommendations to start?

Hi pnin,
I'm looking for MIUI 12.5 Stable ROM to update my X3 and I found the MIUI Updates Tracker (POCO X3 NFC / POCO X3) thread. So I've tried to understand which type ROM is on my X3. From Settings-System Info the tile says MIUI Global 12.0.8, but in MIUI Version it appear MIUI Global 12.08.8 stable RJGEUXM.
From here my two questions:
Am I EEA or Global?
In the MIUI Tracker thread the RJGEUXM is under EEA ROM list where the last ROM is this that I've installed.
second question:
Can I install latest global stable MIUI 12.5?
Thnks a lot
I'm guessing it's EEA from the ROM version number. You can check post #2 in my [INDEX] thread for further info.
I can't really answer your second question, because I never tried it myself.... But there are plenty others around who did.

For the moment, no, since the global version has not yet been released.
Afterwards you can but without being able to lock the bootloader, which means that the play store will not be certified and you will have to root the phone and use magisk or a Xiaomi Eu rom.

it's since 14.0.21?
Can be tried a Weekly by updating (to return after a stable, clean flash required).
