Hey there, I have a question @Akshar1420 @Topser99. I want to test the ROMs that you have made, but I am daily driving One UI right now, and I don't really want to daily drive a ROM until it is stable, so if I make a nandroid backup, will everything get backed up, even though I am on stock ROM?

i tried crdroid rom and 1st time i was unable to install google apps...and i flashed the stock rom downloaded from official samsung site....then it was as sam as it was with one ui 2.0...jst try to make sure that u r downloading the right stock rom of your phone.....now i am using cedorid custom rom with stock kernel....it's ok...bt it has some minor bugs and i was ubable to use my 128 gb memory on it....the 32 gb works correctly...bt you will have to formate the memory after you insert it with crdroid rom.....and a mejor prblm is you cant share media through data cable.....bt other thinks worked properly with my phone............

Hello there,
I recently rooted my sister's Explorer because she kept complaining about low memory and lag. I rooted it but I guess I need to install a custom ROM on it as stock one is utter crap.
Because I am new to explorer forums can someone help me out with a stable rom which doesn't need a lot of tweaks and everything works as it should.
I had Wildfire S some time back so I am aware of ROMs and stuff but still as this is my sisters phone I'd like if someone can guide me what to do after I am done rooting. (How to install the rom and what partitions of sd card are required.)

Hi, brother, it would be better if you wouldn't ask for suggestions as it may lead to bickering and unwanted arguments between people.
As for the ROM.. I guess nothing is better than trying it out itself ! I guess the bugs will be mentioned in the ROM's OP .. and further bug reports in the thread of the ROM..
As for the ROM .. for (almost) all ROMs based on Sense 4.1 you need to create a 1 GB sd-ext partition on the Sdcard .. ext2 or ext3 is preferred..
Apart from this ROMs .. there are many other ROMs in this forum which are also pretty darn good. check the bugs out and try to install them , try and decide for yourself

Hi , first of all i have question about official rom - there are some news about oneplus own rom based on pure aosp and there is on the other hand cm11s and update to cm12s connected with it.. so iam really confused if there will be their own oneplus ota or cm12s ota or both.. If here is someone who know it please tell me. thanx
Secondly i want to ask about twrp and its backup - i have few backups and.. if i will install new rom - i want to try temasek based on cm12 can i use only data restore in twrp to restore all my installed apps and others ?? thanx
P.S. i dont really like their own aosp oneplus one rom.. its pure and without any customizations like in cm12.. and thath sucks,i think if there will be only their aosp oneplus rom i will use temasek.. i think all roms based 5.0.2 are 10 miles forward in progress then offi oneplus aosp based rom. thanx
CM12S is most likely not coming due to issues between CM and Oneplus. Altough this could change. Oneplus is currently developing it's own ROM, offcourse this still looks like AOSP because it basically is (except a few additions) at it's current state (alpha). Just stay tuned for their new ROM. I'm well assured it'll get better overtime.
So, that's it, I will install temasek I see.. After flash can I restore my all data (installed data etc..)i twrp recovery? Or should I use titanium backup? Thanx ☺ I think their rom based on aosp will never be like cm11 12 becouse there will not be to much settings and customizations.. Only my opinion, what do you think?

There's actually zero evidence to suggest that CM12S isn't coming, that's pure speculation. The evidence that is available (emails made public by the Indian courts) actually point to this device still receiving updates from Cyanogen.

I won't advice you to restore just the data partition from a different ROM. Instead, use Titanium backup to restore your apps and data from the backup you made with TWRP (Titanium > Menu > Special Backup/Restore | Extract from Nandroid backup).
What will happen to my files when I will flash new rom, Wil they move somewhere? Becouse it's ridiculous that they will just dissappear? What I will have to do with apps data?

actionly , i test most roms here i didn't find better rom than stock
And there is ExQuiSite[CM11-12] by nico it's little faster and stable ... but advice you go to stock and modify it by your self by adding some build.prop tweaks and nitrox mod etc ..

Im currently running on ExQuiSite ROM by @Niko Belic 605 and its working great, i suggest u to use it and there is also another CM 11 ROM by @m4jonez, Both are great for daily use, Links to the threads are below, if u want to install any of them, follow the instructions given in the thread
Do note that both are Android 4.4.4 builds, except that ExQuiSite is themed like Marshmallow

Ok but if u take Stock ROM, nowadays most apps like Whatsapp etc dont support ICS, so that might be a problem for u in the future

Hey Guys, I have been strolling through different ROMs for GT 18262, but i dont know if they are totally stable or not, so i thought i would create this thread where all this info could be there.
I wnat to know whether there is a rom which fullfills this requirements:
1. Stable
2. Everything works including Camera.
3. Support for swap.
4. Possibly a higher Android Version than stock rom and not just themed.
Maybe I am asking too much, but i have Cosmic Rom with its final version flashed but i have this problem that the ROM would just stop responding and even after restarting i cant even unlock screen cause possible screen wouldn't respond. I tried many others like Monster Rom build 3, but the microphone didnt work when calling but worked on WhatsApp Call(lol). So please help me

M using cm11....and its best stable and customized rom ...u can later change the theme to lollipop and thats really good......imrunning this rom from over 5 months and have not a found a single bug
I already tried it, but apps like Gmail would crash when i open any email or even opinion rewards would just force close itself. Even some parts of Hike Messenger dont seems to work on it.
Any developer thinking to port Oreo Go Edition for this device! it will be a big help for this device.

It has some bugs like when I played COC it give me some problem and shutter lags
Can some developers of this Device can come together and put forward a ROM which has most of things stable, uses latests Oreo GO edition will be a last salute for this Samsung Device. If someone can guide me in porting or building rom, I am ready to do it.
Hey my wife has j7prime one sim card g610..we need rom WITHOUT bug coz or system 16gb and need storage so it can be offical rom or not android 7-8-9-10-11 dont care.im tired of install some custom rom they have whatsapl video call problem sime restart shutdown etc.
Hi. Even official ROMs have bugs. Unfortunately, there are WhatsApp bugs in most ROMs. Of course, using WhatsApp Business in most cases the problem is solved.

Which rom you advise then ?.i have already installed s20 port rom it takes really nice photos but i cant charge battery while phone shutdown.sometimes suddenly restart while using phone or not .and instagram video converstaion give echo.next or you conversation hear Voice themself back

I am currently using the BlackBird OS ROM, which I have not seen any bugs other than the camera problem in third-party applications. It also includes many tweaks to optimize the battery and increase the performance of the phone (in the build.prop file).

Use TRR Pure Edition, Light Rom, Venom Pie ROM, or any Oreo and below ROM that has been fully tested and has good feedback. It's hard to avoid even minor bugs on custom roms in general so don't go around complaining that roms have this bug and that bug because that's why the roms are FREE TO USE so users from the community can test them for the devs so that improvements can be made... If you want a BUGLESS rom then use stock firmware simple as that...
