Hello,
Is there a way to disable the back key function during a certain app? I play a lot of Heads Up Charades on my phone and people don't understand that if they hit back, it closes the app. So, my question, is there a way to disable it while that app is loaded?
Thanks guys.
Hi there.
I am using Honor 8 an drunninf EMUI 5 with Nougat.
On lockscreen, when the phone is idle and screen is off, and i get messages on chat apps like whats app and others, the screnn does not wake up. Can someone tell me how to turn this on.
There is the bug where there are no notifications like you say ..
If you can set it in the settings from the app you want like in the whatsapp settings
and if it then works - good... if not there is then no way to have it working..
Some of us discussed it in other thred and it is a bug
Install Screen Notifications from google play.
Or Floatify, or any other replacement "lockscreen". I use Floatify myself.
If you want to keep the stock lock screen (as 3rd party lockers tend to cause more bugs), just install Nils lock screen notifications. It overlays the notifications on the stock lock screen for the most seamless integration.
Without a 3rd party solution, this phone only allows lock screen notifications from the stock apps and some google apps.
Theres an option in the settings called "Notifications turn on screen"
Just search it in the setting's search bar and turn that option on.

Yes there is the option in settings but I think he has noticed that it does not work for all apps like most of us noticed
Thats why users recommend apps from playstore

I have recently moved from iPhone to the s8. I do not get chat heads at all with messenger, is it still supported? I’d really like to get this enabled. I have checked google and searched the issue and can only find how to turn it off. I have ensured on top notification is enabled. I have a galaxy tab also, it did work previously but is now experiencing the same thing. Is this a nougat issue? I have no setting in my Facebook messenger for chat heads either. Thanks in advance for any help.
Make sure you don't have Messenger Lite.
Check the screen overlay permissions.
Borrowed from android central.
- Launch Settings from your home screen.
- Scroll down and tap on Apps.
- Tap the overflow menu button in the top-right corner and tap Special access.
- Tap on Apps that can appear on top.
- Find Messenger and make sure it's turned on.
I physically do not have a toggle to turn it on in messenger

I have logged out, removed , restarted and re installed, cleared data and cleared cache. I can get the function of chat heads by using an app called flychat that's the only way I can get the function.
I checked a friends Verizon phone his selection reads "draw on top" my unlocked phone reads " apps that appear on top" I have for enabled but still nothing appears
The only way I got it to work was to log out and start like it was a new account, now chat heads works perfectly, need to figure out how to associate new messenger profile with old facebook account
Same issue
I have had my S8+ for a few weeks now and am experiencing the same issue. Wish I could find the link, but I found something saying it has to do with our facebook UID.
Issue resolved with the latest update to facebook messenger
Mine ignores the off setting
hello there
i wonder if theres a way to add an app exception while using DND mode
i cant find it on my k20 pro using android 10
also i cant see my app in "do not disturb access"
i think this feature has been removed or something
if am i wrong then how to do it ?
if someone knows please share with me
ill really appreciate any hint or tip
thanks in advance .
I don't personally own the K20 but on my A70, the do not disturb mode has settings in which I can add exceptions for certain phone contacts or apps to give notifications. You may have to press and hold on DND mode on the quick menu to access this.
Hi Everyone,
I have just been checking the smart assistant and all the widgets appear or disappear by going inside of the smart assistant menu and turning them on or off .... except for the photos.
It doesn´t matter if I turn it on or off it never appears.
Is someone else having this issue?
Any solution to that silly problem?
Greets!!
