I am trying to access the UI tuner on the Samsung S8 plus. I have downloaded the SystemUI tuner by Zacharia. I have untoggled the heads up toggle and i have also activated the Power notifications Control.
By doing this nothing happens in terms of Heads up as they still appear. Furthermore i am unable to find out where to change the level down on an APP such as Whats APP.
Can someone please advise as to how i can change this as i ultimately want to disable the heads up message displays. Yes i have tried the ADB thing which did work on my S7 but does not work on my S8.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks

Did you do the adb commands? You have to grant permissions via a couple adb commands. The are listed on the app when you open it.
Yes I did insert the ADV commands as stipulated by the APP. I have disabled the heads off toggle as well and enabled the power notifications toggle which should allow u to drop down the permission levels per app. I don't know where to navigate to in order to do this tho?
I am not even sure that the Samsung S8 even allows this sort of app manipulation like other devices running Nougat7.0.
I ultimately want to disable the heads off display and I have scoured every forum imaginable trying to find a solution with no luck.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Not sure if the S8 allows it either. Good luck with it, I just used it to get rid of the battery in the status bar.
Thanks I hope someone has a solution or a way to get rid of the dreadful headsup display.
you can. first, disable the power notif toggle..
then, for all the apps you want to modify its level, disable the notification for those apps in settings > notification
go back to systemui tuner and enable power notif, then back to settings > notification, you can set level now.
Thank u so much!! That worked like a charm! U can't imagine how happy I am that I don't have the stupid headsup anymore!
Some of my apps like Facebook messenger don't allow me to make it higher than level 4, do u know a workaround to this? Is there a way I can use an adb command to instruct an app to change it's notification level?

Looks great! I like the clean design and colors. Might I make 2 suggestions / requests:
1. Is it possible to make the UX a bit more... predictable? For example, when you click a button, it activates an option, but when you click it again, it doesn't seem to do the opposite, which leads to confusion as to how to get back to the original state.
2. Integration with Automagic / Tasker / etc?
Thanks for your efforts!!
Thanks for the app, it seems useful. And looks pretty nice too, especially the animation when you click or hold something.
A couple features that would make it more useful: a quick settings tile to bring up a popup menu, and an alarms only mode.
Also, something that's probably a bug: when you enable Full DnD, then turn it off, then enable Priority Only, all the media, alarms, etc settings will still be off thanks to Full DnD.
Lastly, I see the description says open source, but don't see a link. Would you mind linking to the source code?

Hello! Thanks for the good words! Could you give me an example of when you click a button and it does not have the expected behaviour? Cheers!
Integration with Automagic and Tasker: I'd have to work out how to do that, but I'll add it to the to do list!

Thanks also for the good words. I'll add the feature ideas, they are good ideas and I should be able to implement them fairly soon. Lastly, Enabling Priority Only is supposed to switch off media, alarms etc initially. Same as Full Dnd. The only difference is that you are then able to toggle them on if needed. Hope this clarifies things!

Integration with Automagic and Tasker: I'd have to work out how to do that, but I'll add it to the to do list!
Absolutely! As for the 2 items mentioned:
1. Example - it looks like the default state is DND off. If you turn it on using the green top left button, then turn it off again, then click on e.g. media sounds (which is off at that point), it will turn on all 4 options, media, messages, touch, and alarms. You can't then however click to turn any of these off again. Come to think of it, maybe this is a bug where DND state does not match on/off state of various settings.
2. Automagic / Tasker - thanks for looking into this! Not sure if this is your main focus after putting so much effort into the UI, but it would be super useful. I currently use Automagic to set DND on when connected to work wifi, but it refuses to turn it off when disconnected even though I've set that.
Thanks again!

So I had a look and this is what happens in my case:
1. DND OFF by default (media, alarms etc allowed - can't be toggled)
2. I click on the top green button: Full DND ON (media, alarms etc go to OFF - can't be toggled)
3. I click on the green button again: DND back to OFF (media, alarms etc go back to ON - can't be toggled)
This is expected behaviour. Is that not what you are getting then? If not, please let me know what phone you are using and what android api you're on. Cheers!

Anyone using the app with a Samsung device? Someone on Reddit says that the "Advanced Settings" button crashes the app on a Note 9. Can you guys reproduce this?
It might be that the path to System Settings is different on Samsung devices, in which case I need to modify my code. Please let me know! Cheers!
Now live in the Playstore, version 1.1.0. Still Beta.
Changelog:
Improved Icon
Fixed text overflow in large devices
Added Alarms Only mode (as requested in this thread)
Version 1.2.0 is live!
Changelog
Bug fixes - improved stability
Please keep the feedback coming!
Update coming up tomorrow, with dark mode and more!
Love the app! Actually managed to get a setting that I cant find by default on my Huawei Mate 10 pro: Silent calling when called by unknown number, _while_ keeping notification sound on for apps. I use this DND setting 24/7 now.

Ok, mine is on intelligent control and it's fine. Are you saying that you never get any notification from Whatsapp at all? Or do the notifications come late?
If they come late, try changing from intelligent control to don't optimize.
If you don't get any at all, I suggest that you go into Whatsapp, backup in it's settings to google drive. Then go and clear data and cache for Whatsapp. Uninstall it. Reboot your phone. Go to the play store and install it again. Ask someone to send you message to test. Then restore your backup in Whatsapp.
Also turn off battery saver.

Nico... You haven't been warned about using gb whatsapp? I used it until 4 months ago when i received a warning that my account would be locked and canceled. Search for it, and you'll see.
Why whatsapp doesn't implement some of the gb settings, I don't know. A dark theme, for example.

I'm using Whatsapp mods since Whatsapp+ from Rafalense and i didn't get notifications like that, I'm currently on DeltaYowa(Base Fouad 8.12)
You will get banned if you use a mod with older Base or use some features like send more than 10 photos at once, send bigger files , and requesting many verification codes every day

Hi, does anyone know how to give permission to disable notifications applications that do not allow? Such as Android system.
Let me explain, there are some applications that overlap and notify you of that but you cannot slide to remove it and I do not have access to disable it from its settings because the switch seems locked and I would like to be able to unlock the switch, it does not work for me postpone notification with time.
I'm on MiUI 12 and on my old Redmi Note 8 with MiUI 11 I had much more access to which system applications (not third-party applications) will show me or not notifications
Sorry for my bad English.
