[Q] HTC Incredible - Skype / Proximity Sensor / Wifi bug

Greetings all,
I have the HTC Droid Incredible, runing Android 2.3.4, Kernel 2.6.35.13.
I would like to use Skype with wifi, but have discovered a bug. When I make a skype call, all works well on speakerphone. However, as soon as I put the phone to my ear, the proximity sensor turns the screen off, and slows down wifi considerably. This results in my skype call being ended.
I would like to fix this by setting my phone to keep wifi on like normal, even when the proximity sensor turns the screen off. I found this thread, which sounds like what I need, but there doesn't seem to be a download for my kernel version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=752856
Can someone explain to me the steps I would need to take to fix this issue?

Hey, just noticed your PM. Are you using SetCPU with a screen off cpu profile?
If not then it probably is the same problem as in that old thread of mine for the desire. Since the incredible uses the same bcm4329 wifi driver, the patch should work on it. It might already be implemented in a custom kernel on the forums, that'd be worth looking into.
Otherwise i can compile one for the incredible no problem, just go into About Phone and post your kernel version. Thanks.

I am having the same problem with my Incredible. Skype works fine on 3G but not on Wifi. Call quality is poor with delays. Can you compile a driver as you mentioned in your previous post?

Remote control and *view* your phone camera with Android Wear

Just wrote an Android Wear app to remote control *and view* your cell phone camera live. I have a series of other hacks I plan to do in the near future but here's a start. Open source too so hope people can help contribute and make it better! Welcome feedback, pull requests, suggestions.

Totally awesome app!

I've made a bunch of updates to Wear Camera Remote since the first release now. I've added basic support for turning the flash on/off and switching between front/rear camera. But I'm doing it differently than all those paid apps (e.g. Pixtocam) in that I want the UI to blend in well with Google's UI. Also small buttons on a smartwatch is awful to use.
More features to come in the future when I get time, stay tuned. Or if someone wants to help extend this vision, it *is* an open source GPL project.

Not working on my HTC One either. The only app that's given me phone->watch video is LookBehind but it cost like $2. In any event, people are blown away by this James Bond-esque feature

Camera-> Working but maybe crashes often[V2] and after pressing shutter, turns into Green Scale. However, Captured photo is not in Green Scale. So the animation makes a Green Scale and Sometimes will not Save,..,[V2]
Video camera-> Slowly records,[V2] and Crashes after pressing shutter. [V1]
Baseband Bug-> Cannot Detect SIM Card and also Signal, Possible the RIL was damaged or Unknown.,.

I updated for the latest relase and my lock pattern simply stopped working. I had to reset and lost all my apps settings

Has everything like stock Google rom + Working MIUI camera (front camera 20 mp+ secondary night lens 20mp + standard 12 mp back camera).

For some reason I can't change styles for changing icons in status bar......as if nothing has changed after applying- can anyone confirm its with you all too?
Also Riru magisk module can't be flashed. It says some incorrect selinux policy which can be fixed by rom maintainer itself and redirects to this site:

I am having Issues while using messenger, Whats app & in similar apps. In Voice & Video Calls I can not hear anything nor the other person can hear what I am saying. Everything works okey in cellular/sim based calls. I can't seem to find any solution.

if you have a mediatek phone , sure you will know this feature called besloudness (it is in settings/sound) it is an audio post-processing feature that crank up you device volume, but when you install a custom rom(LineageOS...) you will not find this option cause it related to stockrom and sound can be sometimes disorted
this application is created to fix this problem by give you a choice to enable and disable this feature

I'm so glad I came across your post. I've been trying to figure out how this feature works in my unrooted Lenovo M10 HD 2ndGen tablet. I see it in Settings/Sound/Sound Enhancement with only one solitary setting and when enabled, nothing changes. Sound is what it has always been, the same, then and now. I've had my tablet for a year now. My question is how does this feature work ? What does BesLoudness require in order to work ? I have disabled certain features of my tablet for security and privacy reasons, for the same reason, some apps are disabled like Maps, Social Media apps. I have also disallowed certain permissions for certain apps that I felt no need to allow since I never used the feature the permission was required for. Somewhere along the way I might have disabled certain settings, or disallowed permissions that unknowingly rendered BesLoudness not to work.
This BesLoudness Volume Booster for Speakers has stumped me for a year now. Thank you for reading this.
