Anyone having issues with Google Duo crashing? I have cleared cache and data for the app and cleared phone cache -- no help
Considering factory Reset but would hate to do that unless I have to

I use it often with no crashes
Nope.
Not sure what happened
Ended up factory resetting. All is well now
I had a bit of an issue today, but it may have been due to the other party's connection/phone.
I could see the other person and they could see me but there was no audio for either of us. I reinitiated the duo video call and everything worked fine. *shrugs*
Google services were down the other day, I'm not sure if it was the same day you were having issues.

I have had the transformer for about 2 weeks with no problems installing any apps.
However I was unsuccessful yesterday and googled about clearing cache, but it didn't work so I had to factory reset.
Today, I'm getting the installation unsuccessful messages again. Is this happening to anyone else? I'm starting to get annoyed I have to factory reset to fix this problem.

This happened to me also, I did several factory resets, clearing cache, etc... nothing. Also, keep an eye on the GTalk app, if you can't enter the market, then it's possible that GTalk can't logon. However, the browser and other stuff should work.
What I did is created a temporary second Gmail account, then on the TF, go to settings and remove your account, then add the new temporary account. Again, clear the Market cache again and Google Framework cache.
Try to go market and login on GTalk, if you still can't, no problem, the same thing happened to me.
After that, I did another factory reset, during the initial setup, I used my original GMail account again. Everything started to work as it should, Market and GTalk.
The problem lies within the Google account, like something got stuck or another thing that I don't know. It was frustrating at first...
Occasionally google does maintenance and this seems to affect certain accounts more than others. If you suddenly just get this error then you're better off being patient and try again at a later time/date. Sometimes it's only a few minutes, other times it's hours. It's also worth trying to bypass the app entirely and try using a desktop browser to install.
i've tried using my desktop to install apps, but it fails as well.
i'll try giving it tomorrow to see if it clears up, if not i'll just have to factory wipe again.
Running liquid 2.9 past two days have been getting this a lot on apps from the play store that I'm trying to update.Any fix for this

It's not just Liquid or any particular ROM. I'm running Jelly Beans and it happened to me for 4 apps. I did a Google search and found quite a few people were having this problem. It has to do with the play store. I'm assuming you are trying to download over wifi. A few people were able to correct the problem by clearing the cache for the play store. For me, it took turning off wifi and updating the apps over 4G.

I had this issue with my N7 for 2 days straight this week and no matter what "fix" I tried nothing took care of it. Even a data/system wipe and reinstalling my ROM fresh did not help. Eventually the apps finally updated, I think it's a problem with Google and not device or Playstore related.
I've been having issues with this too. Chrome and Google+ absolutely refuse to update, no matter what I do. Keeps saying "package invalid" every time I download the updates.
Try in this order:
1. Turn off wifi
2. Clear data and cache for Play Store
3. Open Play Store and try updating, making sure data is on and wifi is off.
This worked for me updating Instagram. I was getting the same error on my Droid X2 yesterday.

Hello all...
Has anyone else had GCM (Google cloud messaging) ID errors with the M8?
I recently bought my son an HTC Desire 526 and being that he's 11, it was empirical that I have some kind of parental control/monitoring software installed. So, I went with MMGuardian which appears to be an awesome app except that in my case, it keeps having these GCM ID errors.
I've been in contact with their tech support and they can't nail it down. They're leaning towards it being a phone model compatibility issue because they say that they haven't seen this problem before. Keep in mind that I have a few other client apps that use GCM and they have no issues. Also, my wife has a Galaxy S5 and the app works fine for her.
Now, my phone is rooted (s-off) so I've been able to try just about everything.
Cleared data on MMGardian
Cleared data on Google Play
Cleared data on Play Services
Uninstalled/reinstalled MMGuardian
Cleared cache partition in recovery
Cleared dalvik cache in recovery
My last experiment after restoring the phone was safe mode. With Titanium Backup, I'm able to change MMGuardian to a system app so it stays functional in safe mode. Still no dice. Same error.
Below is a screenshot. If anyone has had this issue or heard of it, please reply.
Thank you.
Hello Community!
I really need some help. So the thing is I recently bought a used samsung note 4 and while everything seems and works flawlessly (The phone hasnt been used all that much) the mic doesnt seem to work when I use it for anything other than network calls, that is, no voice recording using the built in app, no calls or voice messages over any of the voice chat apps such as Whatsapp,Fb messenger or Line. I dont think its a hardware issue because the mic works as it should when I make network calls. The problem arises when I use other apps that need mic. Is there any solution to this? I really like the phone but this thing is deal breaker. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Regards
Have you tried resetting the device or wiping the dalvik/cache ?
Is the original ROM installed on your device?

When I bought the phone it was reset to factory settings by myself and just a day ago I updated the firmware to marshmallow manually as the phone was originally running lollipop. I havent wiped the dalvik cache, can you please guide me how to. Also I must add the said problem existed even before the update. I was hoping the update would fix it.
Factory resetting should automatically clear the dalvik chache but you can do it manually too in the recovery mode of your phone.
Hello,
Clean the charging port and speakers using a needle.

yeah man I reset dalvik cache manually but no change still the problem persists.
It is probably a hardware issue then, since your device has multiple microphones. One is used for sound recording while calling and the other one for all the other sound recording

"AND ON VERSION 10.5.00.82"
Try clearing the system cache and a hard reboot.
Is it in a good case?
May have dislodged a connector or damaged an assembly.

no and no
Have you disabled any apps?
I had a similar issue and it was a Samsung process I had blocked in Package Disabler Pro. Unblocked it and the camera app works perfectly now.
Check any apps that have been disabled
