Gear Fit 2 Pro not turning on - Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro

Hello,
I have a problem turning on my Gear Fit 2 pro, I see the logo but the screen goes black shortly after that.
What I tried so far:
1. Reinstalled the latest firmware via NetOdin.
2. Hard reset (10s on power)
3. Factory defaults via reset menu (the watch turns off shortly after the reset beginns)
4. Disconnected the battery for few min.
Any thoughts on what else can I try?
Thanks !

Flash Combination Firmware and check if Watch is working...
I mean booting to test menus...
Best Regards

Thank you for your reply!
I flashed the Combination Firmware, the watch still does not boot all the way, unfortunately I can't find how to boot into the test menus.
Could you please let me know how can I access the test menus?

Sorry.
I mean Flashing Combination Firmware.
Booting.
If not Booting proper to Tizen crap... then device dead.
Combination Firmware is last chance for repair attemptS...
Root Access etc...
But if not start alone. There is nothing what you can do...
Best Regards

Understood, thank you for your help !

Universal near brick - unusual problem

Near bricked my universal but i don't know how.
Recently upgraded to TML89_WM61_21048_REGULAR_64MB. (Nice ROM Tomal, many thx.)
Then installed a couple of apps to try them out. (Fechit, Tenki.)
Then two days later machine froze while surfing gmail. I had to hard reset to get any change. Soft reset did nothing.
Hard reset did not solve problem though as phone is now almost completely dead. Only repsone i get is if i attempt a hard reset. I get the reset screen (0 to reset, X to continue), and even says clearing and cleard OK if i press 0, but then imediately goes dead.
Usb does not connect properly (XP, device not recognized.), and flash attempts to many different ROM have not worked. Not ROM flasher even sees version number on phone.
I hope someone has an idea on how to solve as i miss my universal. I am back to my backup phone (CECT X-one) but it is so slow, and has no wifi/keyboard/bluetooth (Activesync or a2dp.).
Thanks in advance.

can you enter bootloader? (press power+backlight+reset)

Welcome to the forum
As Tomal recommended on his thread, please do Doc format
Have you done that?
Have a deep read in the Wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Universal
Good luck,
Could it be a battery problem? I recently encountered a mystery battery problem where the unit ceases as soon as it passes the flash screen, even though the battery was on charge the entire night, at first it works for a few minutes and then dies. Not only that, it simultaneously happened to 3 batteries within a day. Try, if you can, with another battery that is fully charged.

This happend once to me. Enter boot loader mode (press poweron+brightlight switch+reset sw) and do a DOC format and reflash.
Read Wiki to get familiar about DOC format and entering boot loader mode.
Also this has happened to me many times. An almost dead phone with only bootloader mode available.
Yes DOC format is ok as also re writing another ROM.
It is something like losing the boot sector of a disc as i casn understand.
M phone is a G4 1.19 radio
Thanks for the help
Thanks to all who made suggestions but unfortunately none have helped. No boot loader availlable. (no response when i push backlight, power, and reset.)
Also i have tried with three different batteries after this was suggested.
I won't give up yet though. After all it is not really dead.
Ino.
Hi
Its strange but one thing or the other should work. Try with a fully charged battery.
Remove SIM and SD Card from it.
see if PC recognises the Uni.
If it does not then disconnect from USB port and try putting it in boot loader mode, actually power and backlight buttons to be pressed at the time of pushing reset switch (am sure you must be doing it, but do a bit careful... but just in case try this carefully)
best of luck

PLEASE HELP ME with galaxy S2 SHW-M250K Boot problem

Please guys, my galaxy S2 SHW-M20K (Korean) is in trouble.
I bought it from a 2nd hand shop , and it was runing Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (rooted stock rom). I had no problem with it till today when I tried to install "CWM Recovery", After searching the web i found a post with two files that supposedly could do the task. These files are:
1. CWM_KT_M250K.tar
2. Tegrak-Kernel-Build-39-for-SHW-M250K-UE18.tar
Using Odin, I triedd the first file but it couldn't work, and the phone could not boot so i downloaded the "rooted factory firmware" and flashed the phone. Everything was ok. Later I tried the second file. Again the phone could not boot and stuck at the logo with a yellow triangle. After waiting for about 5 minutes I tried to shut it down by pressing the power button it did'nt respond. (Now this is a point that I regret), I removed the battery as a way of forcing to turn it off.
Now my phone cannot boot. It doesn't respond to power button, neither does it allow me to enter recovery mode nor download mode. But When i connect to the charger or pc, it start charging and keeps cutting off the charging frequently. But it only allows me to enter download mode when connected to pc. When I tried to flash the "rooted factory firmware", again, the flashing goes smoothly but when the phone starts rebooting it fails as if there is a power cut. Is my battery damaged? Can someone give me a guide on how to fix it?
I need your help gus, I am not an expert in the rootings and roms,
Pardon My English. It's a foreign language to me.

As u mentioned, I think that your phone has gone to a Soft Brick. I don't know much about the Korean build, so Google it to solve the Soft Brick. Try flashing the stock rom via odin but I don't recommend it since it may cause your phone to be hard bricked if not done properly.
So go to the service centre, you'll get more help there

I thank you sir for responding to this. From what you have said, I think the best decision is to take it to Samsung service center. (For I have tried to google it but I couldn't get a solution). I would also like to know if it is repairable, and about the cost, is it worth repairing or should I think of buying a new phone?
I am stranded.

[Q] need help to troubleshoot & repair this p5100

Hello
I have the pleasure of trying to help a friend with her tablet, the samsung tab 2 10.1 - gt-p5100 .
The main thing working is the on button , which will boot but only to "samsung tab2 10.1" screen and then black /turn off.
Also I can get it to boot to ODIN mode by holding VOL DWN + power,
after proceeding to Continue with VOL UP , I get the "downloading "
and the screen also tells me
ODIN MODE
Product name GT-P5100
Custom binary download: none
Current binary: Samsung_official.
Odin mode can be turned off by holding the power button for a long while.
The tablet has no functions towards VOL UP + Power which should trigger factory / recovery setting. They do no exist on this device for what ever weird reason.
If plugged in with turned of screen the screen reveals a frozen (not spinning) thinking symbol like an asterix * , the one that would turn into a battery icon should this device boot correctly. But the battery icon never shows up, only the "frozen thinking icon"
Since I have a similar device, the first tab 10.1 called gt-P7500 , some of the components are the same.
So I have trouble shooted already these steps:
Opened device , unplugged battery, waited X minutes, re-plugged. Nothing, same problems.
Opened device, replaced port cord for power cable (the I/O flat cable, is the same in the 7500), Nothing, same problems.
Opened device, replaced battery (also the same from the 7500) , Nothing, same problems.
Also a combo of the both , Nothing, same problems.
Also I reverse tested the flat cord in my own tablet , my tablet boots fine, so the cord is fine.
Also with the battery in my own tablet, my tablet boots fine, the battery looks healty and was almost full, I recharged it fully to 100 % on my own tablet before putting it back into the p5100.
I have also tried various plugs, cable, wall-chargers, car-chargers - originals and copies alike., 1amps, 2amps...from other devices, nothing
I still do no think the charging is the problem nor the battery it self, all these work on my 7500 tablet, but on the p5100 : Nothing, same problems.
Also.. I think if the tablet would have battery issues it would not power on at all and never ever get into ODIN mode, this screen can be on for hours on end.
I also downloaded to see which functions the Odin programme could help me out with, the tablet can connect to the ID:COM , no problem and find any given ROM on my HD.
Of course I also tested connecting the tablet to the PC with the original USB cable WITHOUT Odinmode, but it will trigger connected/not connected sounds and my windows 10 will say : could not identify usb etc etc , and the screen on the tablet will turn on with that "frozen thinking icon"
So..what else can I do beside ask my friend to use the darn thing as a Frisbee ??
How can I get a normal boot sequence going or regain access to recovery/factory settings ??
The device was never rooted, never repaired prior to this. The device is 4 years old, so no more warranty.
check this link
you can try flashing an official firmware without pit file, flash custom recovery and last with pit file. all details should be in the link with details, it's lengthy but should help
Ok so , the occurrences do not mean that the emmc bug has struck this tablet ??? So because it can boot to "downloader" it is still salvageable ?? Please tell me someone if this is the case :crying:
wow i hope so . I have no knowledge of the various innards so to speak, in which order the various bits and bobs are executed and therefor we could know... Meaning my hope now flashing stock/custom and so on and so forth.
What would be the indicators to the emmc bug ? It seems it is a wide spread field of errors , mostly signs of hard brick.
I have just used this P5100XXDNA1_P5100NEEDNA1_P5100XXDMG1_HOME.tar.md5 with ODIN 3.12.3 and it did nothing. The programme ran fine , it worked within minutes. But still boots the same way.
So now while writing my pc is dl'ing the 4Files Firmwares from tsar3000. Sadly I have a feeling it will still boot the same way , I will update once I have tried.

I did mentioned in my guide that if you can enter into download or recovery you can still save the device. but in case it didn't even recovered with the 4 files and pit and considering you tried all the stuffs you could even with the batteries. chances are the case is the faulty emmc card where it's not writing on the card anymore. suspect anything else?
playing Frisbee is a bad idea, you can keep it as a spare if your older device needs some replacement or you can get it repaired.
Hmm ok that does not leave me many options. It is the tablet of my friend, so I will return it to her.
Do you happen to know any sites that deal with the specifics of the hardware?? Meaning a website forum where I can ask these questions. I need to understand which part does what here and specifically which part is failing in this case if we are to throw any more time and money away on this piece. Cheers

Help me anyone ? I have not been able to find the exact problem like mine , described like I did ... Can someone direct me to a hardware forum where someone might know this emmc trouble, can identify it 100 % and tell me which part to exchange ? I am my friend's only help since there are no funds to buy a new tablet for her & her kid. I really hope someone can help guide me furtheron
ok thread is closed, i gave up on this device since I could find no other help and could do nothing else. She kept the charger for her phone and the device was sent to recycle.

Bricked Gear S3 Frontier

Hi,
Long story short I followed a guide on here to do a firmware flash trying to change my device from a UAE (United Arab Emirates) device to a UK device so I could use Samsung Pay.
Unfortunately my watch didn't accept it and now I'm unable to get it into AP mode to connect to it to install another firmware. As it's a non-EU device, Samsung UK won't touch it.
I've tried lots of power button pressing combinations to try and trigger the AP mode so I can flash a different firmware but it won't go into AP mode it's stuck on the flower download screen.
Can anyone help please?
Thank you

Hi, first you need to inform your watch model, the version you had before trying the flash and the current files you've used.
Regds
I have the SM-R760 Gear S3 Frontier.
I tried to flash onto it the BCQ2 Combination Firmware
I am not sure what firmware was on it before but it updated a few days before.
Thanks

Do you remember if you changed Settings in netOdin?
Best Regards
Hey adfree - I follows your guide but unfortunately it didn't work out for me
I found your guide on getting into AP mode by holding power button for 2 secs then release for 1 and then hold for 2 etc. This worked for me once and I had the AP mode screen but the background was blue.
I managed to get Net Odin to connect when that happened. But I haven't been able to connect since. The screen shows the flower and freezes on it after going black a few times.
Sorry.
At the moment I am trying to collect infos...
If reason for brick is changing Settings in netOdin:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75135544&postcount=27
Or if this could also with Standard Settings happen?
If click-hold-release Button Trick not work... then only repair attempts:
Code:
Service Center [B]or[/B] USB cable...
I have no idea if more "tricks" exists... with Buttons/Keys...
We have only 2 Hardware Keys ...
Sorry, I have also exact no idea... why Download Wireless not boot correct...
As we have no Log files...
Really sorry. :crying:
Best Regards
When I ran the flash I selected the three options (AP, BL and CSC) and for each I used the same combination file which I think is correct?
Odin seemed to be picking the files out of this and in the end Odin said PASS but the watch had a red error on the screen and it has been bricked ever since. It won't even charge any more the charging base LED just flashes red.
Combination Firmware is 1 single package...
So in theory 1 time select in AP...
You changed Auto-Reboot?
Code:
[COLOR="Red"][B]NOTE: I reccomend unchecking auto-reboot in the NetOdin3 program so it doesnt restart after flashing.[/B][/COLOR]
Best Regards
OK so I should have just ticked AP and provided the combination file?
I used odin standard settings I didn't change anything.
Thanks
David
Does anyone know how to get into wireless download mode the watch isn't allowing me in any more?
I get to the flower screen and no further.

Samsung gear s2 doesnt boot, how to upload firmware wireless

Hi I recently tried pairing my s2 watch to a new phone, with a soft reset, but when it tried booting it kept rebooting every 20 seconds. I tried the recovery boot option, but the problem persisted. so i think that it might have some problem with its flash memory. I put it in download mode and it tells me the following:
SM-R732
K: Official, P: Official
R/L: OFF, S/D:1, W/V:0, RP:B2
I have no idea what this means. the wireless download option also seems to work, but I don't know what access point that it has to connect to (if at all possible I'd like to avoid opening the watch. I saw that this forum has the firmware for the watch (https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/gear-s2/gear-s2-firmwares-r720-r732-t3684789), though I don't know if it was tested. how can I upload the firmware to the watch? what programs do i need?
Thanks for your attention
