Flashed a different version of "update_data_full_hw_usa.zip". How do I reflash it?
I just rooted my FRD-L14 successfully. Everything is working except the Smart Key setting is missing. I think it might be because I flashed the FRD-L04 version of "update_data_full_hw_usa.zip" instead of L14 version. Can I just reflash the L-14 version? Do I need to wipe or something?
There is no L14 version. At least when I looked for it, I couldn't find it.
You have to roll back to MM, find the L04 rollback package, flash that via the flood method.
Then download a full (3.0+ gb) version of MM, there is only one that I've found, they have released no full Nougat version..
Then flash that via dload, it will be full version with everything included.
Then update to Nougat again, root, and delete the trash.

I found this Android N firmware for FRD-L14 here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/help/frd-l14-android-n-firmware-t3545764
The top reply gave 2 links. Update.zip = actual update/Android package and Update_data_full_usa.zip = Region update package
Can you verify this? Thank you
Is it possible to downgrade to older firmware on the Mate 9 from b190 to the prior ones? I want to see if battery life is better on the older stock rom. Do I have to root to be able to do this?

Don't u get OTA updates?
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
He can't get OTA update, since he is running on rollback package OS, you have to flash rollback package and firmware package (Marshmallow). After doing this, you can easily search for updates via Update in Settings.
That means you're stucked on FW C900 which is just for rollback to EMUI 4.1. Download full package from Huawei website and do the dload method to flash the correct FW.
Earlier this year when Pie was first rolling out for the US View 10, I updated to the unapproved 9.0.0.201 firmware using a no check recovery and firmware finder. It updated successfully and has been working since, but I haven't been able to install any OTA updates, not even manually with HiSuite or with the dload method. Is there any way for me to update to an approved, up to date firmware?
Those who updated to EMUI 9.1 Beta Firmwares and hated the EROFS and can't enjoy root can rollback to EMUI 9.0.
I was able to rollback from 9.1.0.135 to 9.0.0.200.
-Download the latest HiSuite.
-Click on "Update"
-Click on Previous Version
- HiSuite will then start to Download the EMUI 9.0 firmware, in my case it downloaded 9.0.0.200. Probably because this is the last EMUI 9.0 firmware.
- One download is complete it will proceed to install the firmware to your device.
- Once complete, you device will reboot to recovery and complete installation.
Note: This process will delete all your user data.
Goodluck!!
So you planning to use latest pre-EROFS to get/keep root and decrypt.
Is .200 the latest AL00 pre-EROFs version?
Do you need a HiSuite version > HiSuite-9.0.2.301?
I was going to do HSTool to do the rollback myself, though HiSuite would be easier/less crashes.
I'm on 9.1.0.120 right now with Globalized ROM 2.2 will stay on it until someone figure out EROFS.
9.1.0.120 is the last pre-EROFS. The next update to 9.1.0.120 is 9.1.0.123 which is when EROFS start.
Huawei website has HiSuite 9.0.3.300 but it update itself to an even newer version. The process was simple and straight forward. The only downside is that it will delete your data.

Thanks.
Did you have to unlock your bootloader again after the 133 and 135 updates closed it?
Yes, I think I did when I updated to .135 before.
