Those on Stock DBT CSC Does These Features Work? - Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Questions & Answers

To those who have the Exynos version with stock DBT CSC, do you have the following settings on your phone? Do these status show on your Status bar when active?
1. VoLTE
2. WiFi Calling
3. Up/down Speed Status
4. 5G in DATA option on both SIM slots (when selected)

I have just moved from EVR CSC to DBT CSC and I have retained all of these features. I can't comment on the speeds though as the mobile network where I am is currently having issues

Thanks for confirming. Although I was referring more to those with stock DBT CSC. Helpful, none the less. With regards to the upload/download speed, I was referring to the icon that shows up on the status bar.

Also, I'm just curious. How did you move/change your CSC from EVR to DBT? Did you use the *#272*IMEI# code? If yes, does it still work after you switched to DBT CSC?

Oh right.
I managed to change the CSC code by flashing the Brazilian firmware that has a different CSC firmware version. I then reflashed the UK firmware. I flashed the BTU firmware which is the UK unbranded one but ended up with the German DBT code. And no, unfortunately the *#272 process is disabled.
I have no idea why the CSC code changed to DBT instead of BTU though.
Hopefully it won't be long before we can choose our own CSC codes

LTE only?

Has anybody been able to do LTE only? I I have weak LTE where I am but it still is faster than hspa here but it keeps defaulting to slower speeds.
Your phone decides when to switch over to 3G or lte. Depending on the connection.
I think he's referring on how to do it through the service menu. On the Nexus 5 it's *#*#4636#*#* not sure about Samsung phones.
*#2263# Choose LTE all bands. Been using it on my note 4.
Neither of these short codes do anything on the S6. Does anyone know a working one?

Some models esp operator locked, disabled this feature.

I see. I'm running the H3G firmware. I'll happily flash a different operator firmware, any idea which one works?

A lot of these codes are not working on the newest baseband, looks like Samsung restricted them. They are only working if you download the PhoneInfo app and launch the code with SuperUser (root).

If you root and flash XtreStoLite rom there is a LTE only mode.
Hi,
I'm on the latest Xtrestolite v2.3 and I do not have the LTE only options in the settings (i only have 2G only, 3G only, 2G/3G and LTE/3G/2G), does it work for you ?
The *#2263# isn't working either.
EDIT : I found out how to fix the bug : if you are using your mobile in Frech you have to switch to another language to make the LTE only option appear.
I'm on 2.3 and I have that option, in mobile networks

Right, thanks davebugyi, you are right and I am aware of that. That is why I was wondering what Baseband version PunishedSnake and Djamog had in mind. I would like to know which commercial firmware exactly includes *#2263# features working, so I can downgrade/upgrade mine, on SM-G920F.

This works great, thank you for the answer.
Do you know any other network forcing related features and how to enable them? Menu *#2263# I am trying to access, similar to *#0011# (and Q0) in previous models, includes Band locking and probably more.

Need alternative to sammobile

I am in desperate need to get the firmware for my g930f - BGL csc specifically. Since Sammobile free is down for maintenance, I am stuck. Are there any mirrors or archives I can use? I tried updato.com but it got me the wrong file with wrong CSC.
What are my options at the moment?

Actually that's exactly what I used and it downloaded the Polish CSC not BGL which is what I needed. At least that's what autodiscovery did. With manual, it does not find the right firmware at all even though I am copying and pasting the details from their website.

Try this (Click "Slow Speed" for free download)
Code:

Using a download manager with multiple concurrent connections might help with the speed

Thanks, trying it out now. I guess the site has a pretty strong protection as none of the managers that I tried could do multi segment. Estimated completion is 12 hours, but oh well... its the best I can do at the moment.
If you post in the updato thread and let the owner know the wrong firmware is being downloaded he'll no doubt sort that for you too
Thank you Detection for all your help! I actually got tired of it and installed the PHN firmware via SamFirm. It has the latest Oct 1 patch and seems to be updated regularly... still unbranded. I should be OK with it, right?

Yea you'll be fine, just means you'll get OTA updates for that CSC now rather than whatever you were on before, only real differences I've heard about switching CSCs is features such as VoLTE and WiFi calling etc

Can I?
Hello. I already have an European firmware, but I'm from Latin america. I was wondering if is there any problems if I update my S8 (G950F) with this one (region DBT Germany), because I forget at all which country I choose when I did the region update (in here the updates are just too slow to arrive, because the carrier).
I would like to know if it has some local / specific configurations or if is it totally unlocked, international, clean, no different boot screen, or something like that. My current software, as an European firmware, is so much fast receiving the updates, but I haven't received this one yet. Sorry about my English, and I hope u guys understand. Thanks!

Is there the Combination Files already for this firmware?
Flashed with Odin with no problems. Thanks for uploading!!
Regarding AR Emoji and Super Slow Mo, they work alright.
They are both a bit gimmicky but whatever. Guess there is literally no reason to upgrade to S9 from S8 now

Change CSC for dual-SIM device

Hello,
Hello,
I am a UK resident. I bought a Note 20 Ultra 5G, as a grey import, from Singapore.
My device is dual-SIM, and I believe the UK version is also dual-SIM(?)
I have tried the 'trick' of typing: *#272*IMEI# into the dialer. I can see an option to select the UK/BTU, but it's single - see attached.
Spoiler: Screen shots

Is there a way I can change the CSC of my device and get a UK firmware build onto it? For use with both SIMs?
I have rooted my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and found where I find infomation in folders of my 2nd sim. When your device is rooted then you can install x-plore manager and go in the root folder to sec efs and map *!SVC has the information of the 2nd sim. Tried to change the scs code of the provider because I can changed it but not save it!
My phone in unlocked on the 1st sim but seems to be locked on the 2nd sim! It also has much more information about your device so it would maybe work when a lot more has to be changed!
And I don't know how or what!
Before you change CSC you need to know something.
What shows on your phone thise numbers? Please share screenshot.
1: OXM
2: ATL
3: ATL/ATL,ATL/EUX/ATL
I can change the first 3 ATL, EUX can't be changed but the last ATL seems to make the phone a branded phone! Because Samsung told me that the ATL after EUX hangs together with the carrier and the phone! So in my language means that it makes it a branded phone!
So are we able to make it a debranded phone?

Can I ask you why? Because an other one from XDA was able to remove the last csc code from CCIC on download mode/page.
I add that image as attachment then you can see that he was able to DELETE/REMOVE the last csc code which stands for AID in the CCIC code named as sales code/CID/AID and he was able to DELETE/REMOVE that last csc code!
Last one seems to be important as well! I guess I know what to change and that is map !SVC and SVC in root because there is written ATL in the text but TYPE needs to be changed as well probably to have any effect for the reason I have changed proveder ATL to PHE but didn't change so I think the "TYPE" is important as well to change!

I guess it is possible to change it in root in map efs then map sec efs and then in the map !SVC and SVC there we can change the customercode but then type needs to change possible as well. Now it is with me customerceode "ATL" and type"DST".
Is there someone who has really bought a free/open/no carrier based one and can they look when rooted what it get said in those maps?
When I change "ATL" to "PHE" without changing type then when I login into my Samsung account it says that I have made unauthorized changes and need to contact customer service! So I have changed it back to "ATL" and don't get that notification anymore!

Question Not getting OTA updates on my S22 ultra (SM-S908U)

Hello,
Recently I bought an S22 ultra from unofficial source. I haven't got any updates from then. I think it's carrier locked. And it is not possible for me to use that carrier in my country. The phone's model number is SM-S908U/DS . In the software information page the whole model number is shown as SM-S908UZKATT. I want to update my device. How should I do it? I heard odin can be used to manually update my phone. But I don't know how to do it. Also I don't know where will I get official firmwares. Please help me ASAP.
Thanks in Advance. Cheers.

You might want to consider sideloading the latest firmware update.
But before that, you must
1. Find your Model name & CSC Code using Phone INFO ★SAM★ 3.8.5 or just go to about phone
2. Download your firmware using Frija
3. Flash the latest firmware using SamFw Tool

then I thought the CSC might be XAA. So I typed XAA and clicked Check Update. It showed
am I doing it the right way? or do I need to search using my whole model number? (which is SM-S908UZKATT.)

There are 2 Models for the US: The "U" which is carrier locked & the "U1" which is Carrier Unlocked. Your device as per the CSC belongs to the U1 model.
I mean you already tried it with SM-S908U and not SM-S908U1 and did not get any result.
