Realme X50 Pro (RMX2075) won't turn on - Realme X50 Pro Questions & Answers

Hey Team,
For two weeks I was the proud owner of this phone model - Realme X50 Pro (RMX2075) - European version 12x256.
I woke up this morning (12 Sep 2020) and saw that the phone was turned off.
Before that, before going to bed, he worked and the battery was 100% charged.
At the moment, I cannot enable it by any combination.
Press and hold both Power and Volume Up buttons
Press and hold both Power and Volume Down buttons
Press and hold the Power button only.
The only back screen even during the charging. Just nothing.
Has anyone encountered such a problem?
Please advise what to do.
Thanks.

Never had this issue. Does your phone automatically update overnight? If so it might have tried to update and something disrupted it. Either way, I'd certainly contact realme as it doesn't look hopeful. Sometimes, phones like to switch off when there's too much or too little percent. Like when you run flat a phone it does that. Maybe leave it a day and see if there's still a persisting error.

Yeap. The phone does auto-update during the night.
I also think there was a problem during the upgrade or something on the hardware side.
I will contact the service. There will be news, I'll let you know. Perhaps someone in the future will face the same.

I keep auto-update turned off, it takes 5 mins to upgrade so I prefer to be able to upgrade in a controlled environment.
Hopefully realme will sort you out. Doubt it's a widespread issue and it's probably just that one off.

Verizon Touch Pro 2 - Shut Downs When Closing Slider

Hey everyone,
This is my second HTC Touch Pro 2 for Verizon Wireless and I returned the first one because the phone would shut off when I closed the slider. This happened once every few tries. I received my replacement phone last Thursday and just discovered the second phone does the same!
Has anyone experienced this issue with their Touch Pro 2? Open and close it a few times in a row and see if it shuts down. I'm two for two so far. I'm going to return the phone and get my money back and wait till Verizon releases the new HTC Imigio or the Samsung Omnia II.
Just curious to see if anyone else has witnessed this issue.
Dan
ive got the verizon tp2 and i dont have this problem...i just tried it to be double sure...sorry
Open and close the keyboard over and over and it turns off? Why would you do that anyway? My VZ TP2 doesn't do that.
I bet his finger is hitting the power button on top when he is closing the KB. I was doing that and it drove me nuts. There is a cab file that disables the button when the KB is open. Solved it for me.

this, very common for people to bump it on accident

power button? are you referring to the backlight ? on verizon the power button is the end key.
also, wheres this cab!! ?
thanks
Actually, it's definitely not the power button or the backlight button. I understand you would never shut and close the slider a few times in a row, but the reason I said that it to see if anyone else is seeing this problem. For example, I just replied to a text, sent it out and shut the keyboard and the phone shut off and started the boot screen instantly. I'm very surpirsed no one else is seeing this as this is my second phone. I want to stay with the Touch Pro 2, but I'm concerned the 30 day warranty from Verizon will pass and I'll be stuck with this issue.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKmDOkRJrfw
Check out the video. This is exactly my situation.
I thought there was a one year warranty? That's how it was with my ENV2.
Also, this doesn't happen with mine either.
Mine does not have this issue either, but I'd like the cab mentioned that prevents screen sleeping when kb is open. I'm hitting that button by accident when writing emails. It is mildly irritating having to be so careful. If a cab would prevent it , that'd be great.
Loose battery? It does get a little bump when it opens and closes, could it be the battery area is a bit bigger then it should be and the battery wiggles? See how flush it is.
Also in the video that's the sprint TP2, not verizon. Or is that not you and it happens on both?
I'll check the battery. It's an issue across all brands (Verizon, Sprint, etc.). Not just the Verizon version. The video is just an example of what's going on. I'm really surprised no one else has witnessed this problem. I love the phone and want to keep the Touch Pro 2, I just don't want a defective phone which I just paid $489 for. It should work perfectly.
Now that you mention the battery, I'm curious if the battery I received with the original phone is physically smaller in dimensions. The first phone had the issue along with the second phone. However, Verizon ships you a new phone without the battery since you're supposed to use your original. Now I'm really curious....
I have expierenced the same problem he is talking about. These phones are real sensitive to moisture. That's the cause I had the tech open it and blue dry it out and it started working again. Then it was raining and it left it in my hand and the mositure got back into the phone and the tech had to do it again. Then it got a little bit of moisture from the car wash I work at and I had to have the tech do it again.

So you got the phone wet working in a car wash and you are still hitting the backlight buton?
A wet phone is not a VZ problem, sorry son!
This has nothing to do with moisture from what I can see. I'm going to cntact tech support tonight. The only connection I can make between phone no. 1 and no. 2 are the batteries. Going to see if they can ship me a new battery instead. Not sure if that's possible. They currently only have replacement phones available and not new ones. So not sure if I can get just the battery.
I can guarantee you it's not because of moisture though.
Just contacted Verizon... they're shipping me a brand new battery for free. Going to test it to see if that solves the problem. Not sure if it will, but at least I'll have a second battery when I finally have a phone that's working!
I'll put my vote in for the link for the CAB to disable backlight button when keyboard is out....
please provide.
Just an update. I received my new battery and the phone seems to work fine. Some how the sliding feature of the phone would jiggle the battery and some how turn the phone of because of loss of power.
Interesting.... So I guess I never had two defective phones huh?
Hi
I upgraded with the official WM 6.5 rom from HTC yesterday, and the unit shuts down when I close the slider(and I do not touch the power button).I then went back to the original WM 6.1 and the problem was gone.I then assume this is a software issue? Anyone else with this experience?

[Q] Screen won't stay off!

I can't turn my screen off. When I press the power button it goes off for 0.5 to 3 seconds and comes back on. I was using Axura when it first happened, but then I restored an older CM rom and I'm having the same issue. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm sure I don't have to add that it isn't ideal for battery life ..

Are you plugged in when it is happening? If so, have you tried to turn off the "Always stay on" setting?
I had this happen to me. It turns out it was a faulty power button. Its a hardware issue. I had to return my phone because I was still in the 30 day window, if you're outside of that you need to send it in to samsung.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
Thanks for the replies.
Strangely enough the issue disappeared as quickly as it appeared about 6 hours after it began! I tend to agree that it's a hardware problem, but as long as it's not happening constantly I'm going to live with it (due to the fact that as an Australian living in Spain with a NS from the US I don't imagine a warranty claim would be easy).
A hardware problem wouldn't be my first assumption if I was on a custom ROM and/or had lots of apps installed.
If it happens again, I'd get a logcat recorder app or adb logcat session running on the phone and see what exactly it says goes on just before the screen wakes each time.
Oh ok. I tend to assume it's a hardware problem due to the fact that it happened on completely different roms. But the way that bug causing "artifacts" are sometimes left behind when changing roms doesn't give me confidence in that assumption. I really don't understand it.
I'll definitely give the logcat a go if it comes back. Thanks.
hi,
i am bringing back this thread from a few months back because it was the only one i found that showed the same problem.
i installed alogcat and attached a log file here. can anyone see if there's anything in the log that would be a software reason as to why it's waking itself? also, it doesn't shut itself off while this is happening. the screen will stay on indefinitely. i've had the phone for 6 months and this has become a new problem i would say in the last 3 weeks. i don't want to have to send it to samsung for a few weeks.
thanks for any assistance

Lumia 820 turns off and wont turn back on

Im having a problem with my 820 and its pretty darn annoying. Every one and then it just turns off and the only way to turn it back on is to take the battery out. Anyone else having this problem?
Yep
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2021800
Hope you get it sorted.
Yep, I had it once, it was just after I paired it via bt to my car but it hasn't happened since.
Sent from my RM-825_eu_euro1_217 using Board Express
I think the system update released yesterday fixed this.
Yep, instead of taking out the battery, turn it on while holding volume down.

This crap happened 3x in the last 24h. Phone is going back and I regret that I didnt take another Android phone...
Had to send mine back, Bear in mind this is a hardware issue and not related to the OS as my replacement is working faultlessly, Androids have their hardware issues too and I have had to send many a HTC back for repair, Am none too impressed with Nokia ATM as the wifes Lumia 900 has just had to go in for repair with a non working loudspeaker

I agree, this is Nokias last whistle if they want to survive in the phone market and so far they are blowing it... ;/
I got a Lumia 820 for X-mas with the same error.
I have update the firmware to verion 1232.5951.1249.1003 and there is still this problem where the screen is turned off and I have hold down power and "volume down" button to restart the phone. It is very annoying, special when the alarm is not working in the morning.
Is there a software/firmware solution to the problem or is it a hardware error in the phone?
I found this at nokia forum:
http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nokia-Lumia/Lumia-820-freeze/m-p/1613474/highlight/true#M25637
I will try to turn off speech in setting and see if the phone will continue to freeze
I gave mine into to get replaced... Pissed me off too much to try and fix it.

After 4 days with the Speech settings turned off have the phone only freezed one in that time. The phone used to freeze 3-4 times every day. The phone af been constant turned on and I can use the alarm to wake up in the morning.
Update:
Today the Lumia 820 freezed. The only thing have have changed is that the Bluetooch have been turned with my headset, used and then turned off again.
got my phone back today... Unfortunately its the same phone... reflashed. Reinserted my SIM... 30min and it froze.... THANKS NOKIA! First and last phone from you.
That really is bad work from Nokia, I ended up selling my O2 replacement as got short of cash but cannot fault O2 as they did replace my faulty handset.
I am now debating whether to get another Nokia as had nothing but trouble with all of the Lumias me and the wife have owned, From Proximity sensor failures to loudspeaker to Device not waking up,
Think they really are in trouble now as they have shifted yet another 1000 workers

They are definately in trouble. This was there last chance and they blew it. Shoulda gone Android when they had the chance and not bash it. Some really good looking phones with crappy software.
Time to go b*tch at the guy from the store again.
Possible Solution !!!!
THIS IS NOT MY COMMENT, only copied from http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Nokia-Lumia/Nokia-Lumia-920-freezing/td-p/1604040/page/13 from user CloudStrife
I think there are many problems all software related. I wonder if all the Lumias were made using the same hardware, i.e. the same wlan adapter, the same video processor etc etc... if the answer to this question was NO, then there might be compatibility issues with the driver for different components.
Some experience the issue with the WLan I read, I exprienced that with the data network, leaving it only WLan never made it freeze. Some others with the "find my phone" option. That maybe could explain the crashes during the night?
However... I found and tried to follow a suggestion that one user reported coming from both Microsoft and Nokia, and surprisingly it seems to have fixed my issue.
I removed the SIM, then turned up the phone and left it on for 10 minutes (I read that when the "no sim" message appears, some files are supposed to be deleted, and written again when the SIM will be put back in the handset and recognized as new).
Then I shut it down, inserted the SIM back, and turned it on.
It has never frozen again, it's about four days.
My issue was when I had both network data connection and WiFi, or when I had only network data connection but with low service so it was often switching between 2G (Edge) and 3G data connection.
From when I tried that I left enabled both WiFi and network data, and it never froze again.
I don't know if it's a definitive solution, but I hope so.
What I'm pretty sure of is the fact that if I left both WiFi and network data enabled before, it was a matter of hours for it to freeze.
I hope that my experience can be helpful for someone... at least, it worths a try.
OR
Try this:
If automatic date/time settings are on, the phone freezes if there is problems with the date/time sync:
1. On Start, flick left to the App list, tap Settings , and then tap Date+time.
2. Tap to toggle Set automatically to Off.
3. Perform a "Soft Reset", i.e. press and hold the power button and volume down button for about 10 seconds; the phone should vibrate and reboot your phone.
4. After reboot date+time should be wrong! Thus, on Start, flick left to the App list, tap Settings , and then tap Date+time.
5. Tap on each of the options to set your current Time zone, Date, and Time. When you're done, tap the phone's back button.
IMPORTANT Don't turn on automatic date+time setting again!
OR
It is the Network + update and affects everyone!
after software update ,not switching on
after the windows software update automatically my lumia 820 gone for restarting,, after that it shows nokia logo and gone off again,, now my phone is not switching on,, is there any problem happen with the software update? how to recover from this problem?

Press Unlock / Phone goes right back to sleep.

I've got a problem. Same problem I had on my G2 and I ended up getting rid of the G2.
For some strange reason at times when I press the button on the back to unlock/wake the phone the screen comes on and it goes RIGHT BACK to sleep.
At first it seemed like it was when my hand is touching the top of the phone but this morning I couldn't duplicate it on command.
Any clue whats happening?
I know this isn't any help to you, but I am seeing the same behavior. It took me 5 minutes to get the phone to unlock last night. If anyone has any ideas on this please help! Thank you in advance.

No it can be anytime. Usually if a finger is on the top of the phone but not always there and not every time it there.
Its weird.
The only thing that I can think of is the feature they use with the sensors next to the camera on the front. If your phone is in your pocket and the power button is pressed the screen will shut back off. You can test it by holding your hand over the proximity next to the camera. Then press power.
I know I mess up when I disconnect my phone from the power cord in the morning. The phone's screen automatically comes on when you unplug it, but I have a habit of trying to turn the screen on myself. What happens is that the phone automatically turns the screen on, and my actions immediately turn it off again.
I realize this probably isn't the same issue that some of you are facing, but it does annoy me!

Oneplus 7 Pro Screen Blank issue

Hi,
I have a 9-month-old Oneplus 7 Pro. I am from Bangalore, India. This is my first Oneplus device. Previously I was owner of Nexus Series and Samsung devices.
I was expecting my Oneplus 7 Pro to last a few years considering the extended software support from OnePlus. But for the last 3 days, the screen has gone black. I am able to get calls, notifications, and even alarm tones. Even the slider button for notification works and I can feel vibrations. But the screen does not turn on. This is the 2nd time it is happening to me. It had happened the first time before two months when there was Corona lockdown. I was unable to give for service due to lockdown. After a week, the screen came back miraculously.
Now the problem has recurred again, I am trying to call Oneplus support, no one answers. No luck with chat as well. I have tried volume up + power to reboot, nothing happens. I scheduled for pickup to service for Saturday, still, no one bothered to call or msg till today! Now I am fed up with Oneplus. Have decided never to buy again. Better luck with Samsung / iPhone. My wife's Mi phone has better service, I guess!
Have anyone faced similar issues? How can I revive my phone? Thanks in advance.

Yes. I can even feel it vibrate after few seconds. But it doesn't work. The display is not coming on.
Well that is a force reboot, do you see anything in a dark room? Other than that, can't say I had this problem and I had this phone since launch

No, nothing is visible. Will see what Oneplus says... Thanks for your response.
