We need an example from both cameras to see what you mean....? My Note 20 ultra has taken exceptional photos so far with no "bubble" effect ?

Note 3 Vs G2 1080p showdown

Here is a video of the Note 3 Vs the G2. Looks like the note 3's auto focus is better and the ois of the g2 helps a little. But not that much... Color is better on the note 3 too i think?
I'm looking through the 20 or so videos I took out doors with my Verizon G2 at the zoo and other places and the image isn't as bad as your representation. Maybe you are on the wrong setting or your phone has issues? Other video comparisons are out there also and I have yet to see your results duplicated.
Comparing videos I shot today with my Note 3 I would say they are both good but the G2 is better because of the reduction in noise during movement.

camera quality

Have just bought the note 10 plus 5g and am moving from Huawei mate 20 X
The reason is the screen quality and the uncertainty with Huawei plus of course the 5g
Can anyone tell me about the camera is it good ? I owned note 9 and loved the note experience but the camera was poor
I just hope I'm not making a mistake moving as the camera on the mate 20 X is brilliant as shown below (only issue the AI is bad and I have it switched off most of the time)
Is there any monochrome ?? And night camera ??
I've enclosed a picture from the mate 20 X for comparison
Thanks

I have Note10, didn't see any monochrome lens, but possibly can be applied later as an effect. Nigh camera mode is there. I like images that this phone produced. I usually take photos of the nature, clouds and such... I haven't had a chance to put the camera into a good use, but I will.
Coming from two Pixels the camera on the new note is.... alright..
The issue i have is that you need to mess with different modes to figure out which mode to be in to get the best picture. For instance in regular mode i cant get a crisp picture of anything moving at all. My sons slight movements even cause a blur which sucks. In pro mode it makes the shutter much quicker and is able to snap moving targets.
Portrait mode is also a weird one. Live Focus kind of sucks and takes a ton of time to snap a photo so youll have to make sure that whatever youre shooting stays absolutely still. Again pro mode works pretty well but youll need to quickly change your ISO/fstop etc to get the best color.
Im currently using the Gcam port from the s10 and it works a bit better at getting overall better photos.
Im very used to opening my camera app and quickly taking the best photo possible so for me this is the biggest issue i have with the phone. My advice if you're a camera person is to wait for the next Pixel and make a decision from there
I disagree with Cosmo. I would say if you are a camera person then you know about photography. Basically everything he pointed out tells me he doesn't understand. That is exactly the type of person who should get the Pixel. If you know how cameras work then the n10 has everything you need to get amazing pictures.

Nice photo of my home town
I've come across from the Mate 20 X as well, went to Crosby beach last night to take some photos and they came out really well, there is a night mode which i dabbled with and came out well.
I've not found a monochrome option but that can just be done through snapseed etc

Love Liverpool ? thank you that's what I wanted to hear someone who has come from the mighty mate 20 X
How do you cope with slightly less real estate screen wise ?
Can you make the icons smaller on the note 10 plus as they are huge compared to my mate 20 X

It's taking some getting used to, to most people the screen is probably large but coming from the X it's tiny in comparison. One benefit I've noticed is walking round I just don't notice the Note 10 being there.
Yes you can make the icons smaller, I've changed the DPI to 551 and it's made the icons a nice size for me, just mess about with the DPI till you find a size you like

Note 20 Ultra Camera Quality

I have noticed that the autofocus and picture quality of the device is not better than my note 10 plus. The phone tends to blur the back and then blur what it is trying to focus on.
I did a picture comparison on my old phone and I say that the note 10 plus takes better photos.
Has anyone else experience this issue?

Question Photos are too warm compared to iPhone

Hi,
Did you notice that S22 Ultra photos are a bit yellow in a low light situations (late evening or indoors). My wife's iPhone 12 Pro produces more natural colder images.
Couldn't find any setting. Editing white balance each time - not a solution.
I will post some examples later (iphone vs samsung). But I think you got the idea.
Here's an article I read this morning.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra vs iPhone 13 Pro Max camera test: why one is my favorite
Only one goes the distance
www.techradar.com
Granted it is being compared to the iPhone 13 Max Pro.
Are you looking at them on the same display? Or are you comparing the look from her phone display to the look on your phone display? You would get a better comparison if you looked at them on a common display, such as a computer monitor.
To be fair though. Samsung phones' cameras have always generally produced warmer and more saturated photos than iPhones.
Open the camera then swipe the screen to the right to access the modes "Plus ". This menu will give you the possibility to choose all the modes available on your camera. Select the mode "BESS" to access and modify the settings.
There you can make adjustments for contrast and color saturation. Modify each of these settings directly using the slider to find the ideal setting for your shot. You can also edit the photos you have already taken via the "Gallery App" and change these settings directly from a recorded photo.

I don't know what phone app you are talking about. There is no "BESS" mode on the S22 Ultra camera app. Nor is that mode available in Expert RAW.

Not the same problem. How about you actually post relevant information.
Images from Samsung S series and Note series phones tend to be a little too warm for some people.

This, first of all.
How are you (OP) comparing things? Screen by screen on two different devices? Obviously that's not good practice.
As @generttl says, view photos taken by both of the same subject on a "neutral" device (a third phone, or a computer, tv, whatever) and compare there first of all.
Just to rule out differences in screens and their respective settings I mean.
Dunno about the iPhones, but my S22U had "vivid" screen color mode set as default at delivery, and it really overheats and -saturates things IMO. The "natural" mode tones things down quite a bit toward the cooler side.

The photo reflects the Saturation Slider in Pro Mode. This won't totally eliminate unwanted tinting but will reduce the intensity.
Well, or get an IPhone instead?
Hi,
You're right. I was comparing photos on S22 Ultra screen vs. iPhone 12 Pro screen. And the deference was huge! Once I downloaded to PC - the difference is not that big.
This is a low light evening shot.

You can still see that Samsung photo is a bit warmer and iPhone - a bit greener.
Samsung photo looks like it is seen with the naked eye.
Iphone photo - as it would look like in a daylight.
This is daylight shot.

Question S22 Ultra exynos camera picture quality.... and has it improved with A13 betas? Please share if you know or have expirienced better colour processing

I have Pixel 6 pro and have S22 Ultra, when I do photos side by side, S22 Ultra can't make so good photos. Colours are washed out, details are missing. Even same zoom level photos with pixel have more detail and for example, you can read letters of object you take photo (carbord box with black letters) and on S22 ultra you just get blurry black line.
Expert Raw gives better output, but still can't match Pixel 6 Pro.
So what I see hardware is there and sometimes S22 Ultra comes close, but just point and shoot not satisfied with such camera for price of phone.
Only hope is that Android 13 and software update might get things right. Please share if you know.

I am not saying that there are crappy photos, but mi 11 ultra and Pixel 6 Pro are making better ones. And in all reviews there are this a bit of better detail with Snapdragon version.
So I just looking for ways to get S22 pictures to be natural colour and looking at least like Pixel 6 Pro.
But on paper S22 Ultra should be making better pictures because of all camera modules etc.

yes that's from cheaper pixel 6 pro and it's better
Pixel series from years had and still have very good algorytmics, software and all this make very good work.
Maybe in paper PIxels cameras don't look like other devices but in real this devieces from Google can make very good photos (not always movies) even after updates, and presentation next models (read aging device like samsung can do it)
Samsung do not focuses to do possibility maximum good software like Google in PIxel for cameras because easier and more profits is show new device for samsung.
Pixels have always been the best camera phones simply just for their pre- and post-processing, especially now with Tensor.
I saw reports about the camera quality being worse for the Exynos variant compared to Snapdragon on the S22 Ultra though, so for sure this is a factor as well. Europe just always gets screwed over.
There's not much you can do; did you try using the optimizing feature from the S22 Ultra's gallery/photo editing app? Heard it's pretty good. Otherwise you're probably stuck with either "blurry" photos (still good ones though!) or you need to tweak 'em manually.

Expert Raw+ good light can do something close but still, it's 400 EUR more expensive and I need to make photos look better .
Yes they aren't garbage but even far from Mi 11 Ultra.
