I am expecting my S3 to arrive from Amazon today. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to using the sim card they send with it opposed to getting one from the Verizon store?
I guess what I am asking is if there are any strings attached or anything like that if I use the sim card amazon provides?
Thanks!

It is a standard Verizon sim. Contract is still Verizon. Amazon just the retailer. Same as if you went to Best Buy, Radio Shack or the Verizon store.

Ok, thank you! Wasn't sure if it would have any sort of extra strings attached or anything!
This has nothing to do with the sim but just be aware if the phone was discounted and you dont complete the 2yr agrement with verizon, amazon will charge you up to $250 for early cancellation. They try and get their money back they ate giving the discount. My friend got hit with that crap which is sort of dumb but does make sense.

Thanks! Yep, knew about that, but I think it is a 6 month thing, not the full 2 years. I plan on keeping the phone anyway, so I shouldn't have to worry much about that unless something extraordinary happens.

I got my GS3 through amazon with their sims card and never had a bit of trouble with it.
32gb is $249 at BB
32gb is $299 at Vzw
I'm really tempted to buy it from Best buy but I've never done a contract through them

I pre-ordered mine from best buy....cheaper and you get the free wireless charger. The process is pretty much the same.

I just got mine with Best Buy today. I'm on a loyalty plan 60 dollars unlimited talk test and 2 GB data. 249 plus tax I would have taken the 200 trade in for the gift card, but giving my Note 2 to my stepdaughter. I did get the wireless charger too the broke the USB cable within two minutes. It got bent as I accidentally tripped and the power bar turned over and actually bent the USB plug. No worries, will just use the USB cable from my charger if I use it.

Awesome, that's almost as good as my trading in a iPhone 3GS. That's why I save these old phones, I have a dozen more 3GS and 4s that I'll trade in when the iPhone 6S comes out.
I purchased the Note 5 on the Edge program and received a $200 Best Buy Gift Card and free wireless charger. I'll pay the phone off as soon as I can and use the $200 gift card on a Sound Bar for my TV.
I just made a boo boo. I bought the note 5 yesterday from best buy and didn't think of taking in my Droid X2 to see if they would give me the $200 gift card. Do you think they'd give it to me if I took it in and traded today?

I'm not sure if it will help but I did the same thing with Verizon. I ordered on the phone and didn't do the trade in but they gave my a $170 gift card and $30 credit on my bill for a S5 I traded in at the store. BestBuy will most likely let you return the phone and repurchase it with the promo. They are good with stuff like that.
I may very well try it but I don't want to return the phone to get it.

Yep, you could cancel the whole thing and do it all over if they wanted to go that route since you're in your 15 trial period.
As long as you're within 14 days of the activation (the carrier return policy that BBY is held to) and the promotion hadn't ended, they should and need to accommodate you on this.
The way I read it when going through the online cart, Best Buy would only give you the $200 device buy-back if you do the monthly installment, i.e. full price. Not true? I used an upgrade to get mine instead of paying the full price/24 mo.
Hey, just a heads up Costco has the Note 5 and Edge plus and you get a $150 Costco cash card and the Samsung wireless charger. Of Course you will have to mail in a rebate form but seems good to me. I believe Bestbuys deal for $200 is if you trade in a phone to them, so Costco is better. Also if you are on Tmobile with less than perfect credit and Tmobile wants you to pay a big down payment at Costco all you will end up paying is the sales tax and that's it. Also FYI if you have mailed in a Costco rebate before you know it can take months to get your rebate, but Costcos rebate handler has apparently changed the process and are claiming you will get your rebate in about 3 weeks so fingers crossed.
You work for Costco? Lol

That's where I got my Note5 and it also included a car mount, car charger (big woo) and the standard 25 dollar Costco Cash card for a total of & 175.00. Also 1 year of Netflix free ($107 value) if you have signed up. I think you can still sign up even after the 20th of August. That's how the S6 was. Samsung will give you a 30% off coupon for any Samsung accessories purchase under $59.99. The deals are fantastic and really bring the price down pretty close to the price of the Moto X Style.

Just called my local Costco and they said they don't sell 64GB in stores and they are sold out on black 32GB in the district. They really don't want my money.. As for the promos though, they said they only offer $150 rebate, wireless charger, car mount, and car charger. They said no additional $25 but hey, I'll take that $150.

Well I know in California they are having some kind of 14 day test with the rebates. Apparently Costco heard everyone's complaints about Stuart Lee Rebates and how long it takes for them to issue rebates in the past, so current rebates should be completed with 14 days after they receive the rebate. But I don't know if this is available in all areas. Maybe that might be a reason for the different rebate amounts.

My local Costco gives a $25 Costco card with any Tmobile phone purchase, all the time. The $150 card is a promo until the end of August for the Note 5 and Edge+ only. I got a total of $175 and a Samsung wireless charging pad.

I just ordered the Note 5 taking advantage of the $100 discount. I currently have a Note 3 and was wondering if I could get any money or credit for it by trading it in to Verizon. I also heard some people got credit or something from Samsung after buying the Note 5. I just can't find the thread anymore. Anybody know of any credit I can get with my Note 3 from Verizon or Samsung? Thanks.

I know VZW had a promo going a couple of months ago where you were guaranteed trade-in credit for the Note5--but that's ended for some time now. You should be able to look up the trade-in value for your phone on the VZW site before going in-store.

I upgraded and bought my note 5 the same way 2 weeks ago. Online with promo code to get $100 off the phone. Before i did, i went to nearby verizon store and said i could get $300 credit if I were to trade in my note 3. But they said up to, if in above good or mint condition, depending on condition of your phone and manager descrition. Hope you enjoy your note 5

I went from a Note 3 to 5 also and did get an offer from Verizon. The offer said up to $200 back. When I clicked on the link and filed out the form their website it told me they would give me $19.84 for the Note 3. Decided to just sell it on ebay with all the related accessories - I'll do that and get around $200 instead...

Hey man the website price isn't correct. They should text you a promo code about a week after purchase. I traded in a galaxy nexus that was worth $1 when I entered it on the site, but then I entered the promo code and it jumped to $200.

You did not say where you ordered your phone. It seems like the offers are always changing. I was able to get the best deal through Best Buy back in December. I got Best Buy $100 discount as well as $ off by financing through the Verizon plan of the day. I was planning to buy it out right. But it worked out to be cheaper to add it to there program. I had unlimited and they weren't about to let me keep that anymore.
If you have a note5, s6+, or s6 edge+ on sprint, and haven't rooted yet, go to Samsung promotions, and on the front page, scroll down to see a sprint promotion. If you activate Samsung pay, and activate a card, then follow those instructions on the website, you can get a $50 bill credit!
