Problem OnePlus Nord - Strage reboot - OnePlus Nord Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I have experienced this problem twice in two weeks time when my mobile is inside my pocket.
The screen, previusly blocked, turns black with the red ball and the white ones dancing in circles. After 10-15 minutes it appears a keyboard and after preasing my screen unlock code, a blue message appears saying "decripting" and takes to a kind of "recovery mode".
Then I choose "reboot" and It works again.
Poket mode is on, so accidental things should not happen when It is inside...
Any clues? It is like it encriptes itself for some reason...
I attach some picutures.

I had the same thing about a week ago and then 2 days ago whilst using the phone it just froze. Couldn't even use the power button at all. In the end it rebooted in the same manner you described.
Could it be a software issue? My OP2 had the same freezing issues back in the day.

Some more information: did you unlock the bootloaders and/or rooted your devices? Which region are your devices?
I don't have these malfunctions on European ROM

Hi and thanks for the feedback. I bought the mobile from Amazon Spain.
I have not rooted the phone but I am not sure the region, where can I check It?

I'm in Europe and at the time the device was locked and not rooted.

At least we can exclude any root-caused modifications. It is strange i never had these issues as i have a European model as well. I just uninstalled / deactivated all apps that i don't need, including Facebook and associated services

I am waiting for the 10.5.5 update, but I am afraid this problem is something oneplus has never heard before, I mean regarding this new model so I don't expect the update to solve It.
Edit. Updated on 25/08, lets seeif It solves it

Same here on two oneplus nord after one week of use.
Not rooted, locked bootloader. Amazon france.

Same what? Same problem as me?

I'm facing a strange network error in my OnePlus Nord. Most of the time it can't connect to internet from Google app, Google widget and Google assistant on mobile data. On wifi works fine and other apps in background can use internet at the same time.

Nexus 5 WiFi problem

Hi guys, I am having a strange problem with my nexus 5, or I should say my Wife's Nexus 5. Right what is happening is that when my wife's phone is connected to a WiFi network it does not receive calls. My phone is identical and has no problems at all. The phone has been back to where we bought it from for repair twice and they finally gave us a brand new phone. After getting home and restoring my wife's phone it has the same problem. Both phones are stock and updated to 4.4.4 . I have checked the settings and as far as I can see they are identical. If I reboot the phone it will ring with WiFi on but after a couple of minutes the problem returns.
Now I would guess that an app is causing the problem but I have tried uninstalling and re installing most of her apps but still can't solve this. I have spent ages on the phone to our provider (T-Mobile UK) tried my sim in her phone but still have the same problem. Is there any type of diagnostic software or app I can run to try and pin point the problem?
The phone has been factory reset but still got the same problem! Bearing in mind the phone is brand new and has the same problem as the old one its got to be an app hasn't it, but how to work out which one
Thanks in advance

Well after an evening of uninstalling and re-installing apps and resetting it seems to have cured itself. I am sure it was something to do with the recent system update, as the problem only started recently. The phone is just over 6 months old and we have had no problems until this. Still fingers crossed it seems ok now.

Hi, i'm having the same problem!! When on wifi sometimes calls get through but most of the time it blocks them, I also thought it had to be something about an app but i even booted the phone into safemode which disables all 3rd party apps and the issue was still there. Where you being able to narrow it down to something in particular??
EDIT: Nevermind, i think i found a thread with the solution.

I should have updated ages ago, the problem was in fact being caused by the sim card. Dont know why it suddenly started playing up but it coincided with the software update to 4.4.4 But my phone was identical and had no problem and my wifes did. Compared to hers my sim was relatively new we eventually ordered a replacement sim and there has been no problem since
Sorry I could not be any more help

Random reboots

Hi guys, I got my G920i from an ebay seller that everyone here has been talking about. The phone was in great condition and everything was fine with the phone for the first 24 hours. Ever since then , my phone has been constantly rebooting after a few hours on it's own. I have not installed any apps that I normally don't have on my other android device , the oneplus one. The G920I is not rooted or anything. The only app I can think of , that is different this time from the OPO , is the samsung push service update. I checked around and could not see anyone else who had recvd the Push service update and was facing the same issue.
Please help!
same
I have the same issue. I also bought the international version off of eBay. I didn't notice anything for about two days, but have now had the phone restart on me three times. All three times I was not actively using the phone and the screen was off.
One thing that I tried was to reinstall the Samsung push service update. That worked for 3 days as I didn't see any more reboots. And just 15 mins ago it happened again while the phone was in my pocket. Hope this gets fixed soon.
It has happened to me twice. I just disabled the auto update feature for my apps to see if that actually works. Will let you know if it worked after a couple of days.
I've had the phone since last tuesday and didnt notice any random reboots until this app updated and now i have 3-5 a day

the samsung push service or whatever it was called that was supposed to fix the battery everyone claimed
Can you check this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/nearby-wifi-portal-causes-constant-t3086743
Maybe it's the same issue and we can narrow down the problem.

Im only around open networks at work and it does the soft reboots around my house which is secured
My random reboots started shortly after the Samsung Push Services app was updated. I force stopped it, disabled it and uninstalled the update and I haven't had a reboot in a while.
My phone was rebooting several times every day before that.
Edit: The random reboots are back. This is very frustrating.
reflash the firmware fix the problem for me. No reboot since 24 hours. 5 to 6 reboots per day before. Hope it will continue.
I also have the same issue. It has happened 2 times for me, today and yesterday. I had the phone in my hand and suddenly I see the Samsung logo. Within 5 minutes it reboots 2-3 times. This sucks =(
I have the same problem, it only happens to me when I open Play Store or when I update something.
Edit: I have the F model.
I have had my 920i for almost a week, and I haven't had any random reboot at all. Everything works as supposed to.

I bought my 920i from Breed on Ebay. Everything has been great for the most part, but I do experience a random reboot at least once every few days. It just happened to me while sitting on my desk.
I am rooted, but I don't have any crazy customizations and I applied stock recovery after root. Only one app is frozen and it's that Samsung Security Agent process that was draining my battery. I also have it connected to a Gear S, but I'm pretty sure that's not the issue.
I wiped it twice yesterday and then set it up. It's definitely not a ROM/cache issue. I'll be interested to see if anyone figures out what this is. It could just be a bug that we'll have to deal with until the next update. Fortunately, the phone restarts super fast.
I also believe this is a software issue. I am not rooted and don't see myself doing that any time soon.
Which network are you using on your 920i? I am on AT&T network

AT&T here, also.
I'm using the G920F with an european carrier, so I think that is a global problem.
It happened to me twice today. That's a first. The only thing that's different is that I have a Gear S connected full time.
Didn't Android 5.01 cause the phone to reboot after some time due to running out of available memory?

Brand New HTC ONE A9 keeps restarting

Hi all,
I just bought an A9 while I was traveling middle east from a shop which offered no warranty on the product but claimed that the phone has international warranty.
Since day one phone just keeps restarting randomly. sometimes while installing an app, sometimes while opening and app and so on. it does not have a defined pattern. I have done all the updates and tried Factory reset too. the problem still exists. I contacted US htc online support and they told me your phone has been manufactured for Taiwan and you should resolve the issue with them. I think I might not be able to use any warranty for it. I live in Finland. HTC finland has not replied to my email yet.
I am wondering is it a software or hardware issue?
phone does not get hot and there is not any other unusual thing before it restarts.
any one has any idea both about the phone possible problem/ solution and also warranty?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Since no one else is facing this issue with any software version, has to be a faulty hardware. It may be a rogue app, but you say you've already tried factory reset, so.
Your best option is to wait for a reply from htc.

i have exactly the same issue.
mine even rebooted while turning it on for the first time and going through the initial setup.
so its not an app or anything added after setting the phone up.
after contacting my provider they said they will swap the phone out as it faulty.

In last 1 month usage, it did this weird restart thing to me also.. In between a day, maybe an app issue it was restarting and I would never know it restarted until I see the pin to unlock the phone. I uninstalled few unwanted apps and the problem didn't repeat again. And that was the only instance where it happened and it restarted more than 4-5 in that day. Well its been 2 weeks after that and no such weird issues.. happy A9 customer

MOTO G5 automatically rebooting

I recently purchased MOTO-G5 in Bangalore. After 10 days of purchase a peculiar problem is surfacing. It reboots on its own quite frequently. It automatically boots when I am using some app (not specific) or even when I receive a call. My return window (at Amazon) is also over. Can anyone help?

Go to service center and explain your problem. It seems like a software issue. They will flash a new os.

Question Experiencing random restarts?

Is it only me or something common? (P7P)
I haven't had any, and my wife hasn't said anything about this happening with hers, either. We've had ours for two weeks today. I'm rooted, hers is with the bootloader still locked.
Have not had a random restart since I got the phone.
Alright, possibly one of the root modules is causing some problems. thanks for the info.
Rooted, no restarts.
I have been experiencing them regularly... Usually right after i try and make a call ...
This is the first time i ever saw something like this.... Does not inspire confidence!

Factory reset and use the phone with little to nothing installed and see if it still happens. If it does try a sim from another provider. If you still get them you have a faulty handset so RMA it.
I haven't experienced it with the Pixel 7 Pro but it happened sometimes with the 6 Pro.
Got one restarts just after freeze for 30 second twice. Rooted kirasakura kernel and despair both happen once
Hasn't happened once in the two weeks I've had it.
Well this is absolutely rediculous.. HORRIBLE support... Google Support wanted me to run the phone in SAFE MODE for a "a few days" to make sure it wasn'ty a third poarty app causing the reboots.. and if it still happens i will have to run around trying to find a service center to "look at the phone" eff that... Take itr back and i will go back to OnePlus or Samsung..... HORRIBLE first experience with a Pixel ... ABHORRENT
I still have one Day on my 14 day return window so i am returning the sucker and getting my money back.. I am not paying 1500$ CAD for a phone that randomly reboots when i try to initiate a call...
I had 1 random reboot during a VOIP call. Didn't notice it till my headphones told me they were disconnected, lol.
This was full stock, unlocked and rooted the day after.

How is that horrible support? 90% of the time it is user error. As a few post above mentioned. Wipe phone and try it with minimal apps installed. They want you to run it in Safe Mode for a reason, if still happens send it in or find a service center. I wouldn't call that horrible support.

Bare in mind this is probably thye first phone i have owned since my nokia days back in the early 2000's that is -NOT- rooted , bootloader unlocked or anything of the sort !(Yet)
I have my P7P now since the 13th of October and I had no random reboot during this time. Everything is running smooth and stable. My phone is not rooted.
I've only noticed phone crashes when using Android auto. When I try using apps that change the font and display size, that's when I run into reboots. My phone is rooted with multiple magisk modules

Just a data point: I haven't had any phone crashes when using Android Auto on the Pixel 7 Pro.
More specifically, whenever I change the screen to large screen on an app like Paramount Plus, or some other video viewing app. This is when I get the phone reset
