Hello, Has anyone encountered this error on their Nord? Any ideas how to fix it? factory reset does not work. My local dealer said they have escalated to OP for a solution but Im not waiting for them

Nopes, no solution.
Official position from my local OnePlus distro (sg) is that this is a minor issue that has no impact on the the phone functionality.
They say it will be fixed in a future update. So for now, just press "Never Show"
You can use adb to remove the software totally if you want. I noticed that this is one of the bloatwares that people removed.
The few days I had the set, I did not see any other issues either. But I returned my set anyway and awaiting approval for refund. Hope that goes through

Thanks for reverting, unfortunately my set not just have this issue, but also green tint issue.

ooohhh, unlucky. Tinting is another issue that OnePlus say is a property of Amoled screens and not a fault. See their staff member reply:

This tinting issue has been around since OP8 launch. My Nord did not have tinting issues so I got lucky on that front.
By the way. Have you updated to latest OOS? 10.5.4 I believe? They mitigated the issue somewhat by increasing min brightness if I'm not wrong.
Are you in sg and using sg set? Have you tried using GPay on public transport like SBS & MRT? Thats another issue they have not fixed for OP8 sg sets but we dont know if it affects Nord or not. Supposedly fix incoming with OOS 11
If you set is new and bought from official OP store online, make the call while the platform's return policy is in force. OP will not likely agree to exhange or refund you since they do not see these as grounds for exchange/refund so you have to go through the platform CSO.

Just updating for posterity's sake. Seems like update 10.5.5 resolved the issue

issue is resolved with update 10.5.6

adb comman.....disable net.oneplus.nvbackup
Does not affect the phone at all

[Q] Display issue: bottom third ghosted with repeating lines

Received the phone yesterday afternoon and everything was great for the first three hours. After updating to the latest version and reinstalling apps from Play, the screen flickered and started ghosting a line of pixels stretched vertically over the bottom third of the screen (images and video below). It doesn't appears to be a hardware issue as the ghosting moves with animations, but it does appear during boot as well. I've factory reset without any difference, and have flashed the current firmware images (cm-11.0-XNPH33R-bacon-signed-fastboot) without any luck.

Any ideas?
EDIT: I didn't have my brightness all the way up; the issue persists during transistions.
Sorry about that, you can try RMA. If it's also in Fastboot mode, you have two options: a) Write OnePlusOne and ask for repair(tooks long!!) b) Buy another phone.
You should try a custom kernel. As the stock kernel for 33r doesn't have the display commits that custom kernels have. I recommend Franco kernel. If the problem persists, then I'm afraid you'll have to RMA.
It is surely hardware.

Got mine 5 days ago and was in the middle of a game last night and the exact same thing is happening..... I put in a request for an RMA already but the whole process takes about a month from what i have read.... Didn't see a similar issue in a search of their forums but it is interesting that our phones came from the same batch likely and have the same issue....grrr

So I am debating filing a paypal claim. Reading the reports of the RMA process on their forum I am wondering if I will get a functioning device within the paypal buyer's protection timeframe. After several emails and pointless software fix attempts back and forth I finally got their support person to say they would forward me to an RMA specialist... but who knows how long that will take and given time frames I think it is very likely the 45 days will run out on 10/5/14 before I receive a replacement device. Any luck on your end?

[Q] Missing letters in the S6 system

Hello.
I got the Samsung Galaxy S6 on the 11th of April this year.
But I've been having som problems since then.
When I use the phone some letters isn't showing (see photos). It's everywhere from the clock on the lockscreen, messages app, to games.
I was wondering if anybody knows about this?
Samsung in Denmark says that I'm the only one they heard of who had this problem.
So I was curious.

Might be due to a rogue app. Go to recovery mode and do full reset.

remember to also do a backup if possible. You can use smart switch PC application
Letters missing
I have the exact same problem with mine. After multiple factory resets, waiting for updates, and running it in safe mode I finally sent mine into Samsung support hopefully to get fixed.

I've tried the same things as you mention. And sent it to my carrier for a repair. But all they did was update it and ship it back. No difference.
So after some time now, I've convinced my local Samsung shop to tell my carrier that there is a problem with the "motherboard" of the phone.
And that all of the inside hardware should be changed to some new.
So let's see how it's gonna end.
But please, tell me if you find a solution.

Bad display issue with horizontal lines

Good day my friends,
my OPO from the very first batch in early june 2014 works perfectly. My second One, bought in september 2015, worked also very well. Until yesterday when I noticed that the display is completely full of horizontal lines, all aligned with the same space and the same size.
I thought it could be a problem with CM13 and updated to the latest release, but the issue persisted. I updated to the latest firmware because it made a lot weird stuff in the past - nothing changed. I read about some DPI problems when setting up a custom DPI in settings, you should set the same DPI in your build-prop. Did it and nothing changed. Finally I switched back to the CM12.1 release candidate from november 2015 and .... the lines were gone. I was very happy, but confused because it seems I was the only one having this problem.
2 hours later I was randomly checking my phone... and the lines were back. They started to get visible alongside the upper edge, in the statusbar region. After some time the whole screen is full with lines. After some time with display off there is a big shift and you can see everything double (unfortunately no image of this). I got the doubt it may not be software related and made a screenshot and sent it to my other OPO. And yes, there weren't any lines. So I think it is indeed hardware related, but I was not able to find something similar. Many results for this big line at the bottom which occured in late 2014, but nothing similar to my problem.
Before asking for a RMA I'd like to post this here, maybe someone knows what is wrong. I really hope it is not hardware-related and I can refuse to use the (not well working) RMA and support of OnePlus.
And NO, my device didn't fall down or something else. To be honest it isn't really in use, I just use it an hour a day

After some further investigation I found an angry comment which states "horrible horizontal lines". Moreover it seems to be clearly a hardware defect when a LCD panel shows lines..
Go for RMA, faulty connector pins. Maybe from the factory, maybe from yours. Higher air moisture can produce chalk on the pins too, even while they plugged in

notification screen issue

In my notification scren when i scroll down the message goes up again.Looks strange also i cant answer when i am in landscape mode.
Notice this problem with ONEui 3,0 android 11.(no root device, europian model exynos)
I made factory reset from phone settings twice, hard factory reset clear cashe repair apps from stock recovery.nothing..

It's been an ongoing issue since the beta. Samsung was made aware but chose not to fix it.

I reported it once on the first initial one ui 3.0 and then again once I upgraded to ctl7, hopefully it gets fixed, but it doesn't seem like a priority to them. i actually just downgraded to 2.5 cause I hate the bugs they currently have.

Eventually is the time frame. Samsung took over a year to fix the Buds+ firmware. Lol not sure it's optimized even now and niether is Samsung
It probably will get fixed... eventually
Strange I'm not having this issue on mine at all. I got European version too but nordic one and my notification part is fine for me.

probably a few devices have this and that is the reason its not a priority for samsung..

Samsung will substitute smaller chipsets and components during a production run if need be. Result is the firmware may not be compatible for those chipsets/components until the glitch is noticed and firmware updated to include them.
Add to that there are many variants of firmware because of different carriers and countries.

Question Does the OOS13 update fix the storage issue in OnePlus 9 ?

Hi, I'm looking to buy a US model LE2115 OnePlus 9 and I saw that many people have storage full issue, Is the problem fixed now ?
Curious about this as well. Went to a custom rom for this reason.

StagOS 12. Developer is working on 13 right now but there's some issues with data and it's still in beta. It comes with a safetynet fix so no need to deal with Magisk if you don't want to. It's not perfect, PNC bank and Netflix refuse to run, but Google Pay and every other banking app and brokerage account I use works. The Microsoft Authenticator I need for work runs without issue as well. It has Pixel exclusive things like AI screen calling. And the system takes up a diminutive 6.1G. OOS12 was sucking down a quarter of my memory and the "Other" folder was growing every day.
Nope, it still seems to use a lot of storage.. I'm going to move to a custom ROM

I think oos13 storage issue is fixed...
I've been using 13 about a few days, It doesn't seem ever reoccurring, original issue was image and audio file system duplicated them as soon as you have one copy on your storage,. Attach my storage screenshot it should be self explainatory .. others category we never get clear answer from OnePlus, but at least is not doubling image and audio..from what I understanding this others could be Color os extra stuff add on top of original stock a13.
My issue, similar to what cp posted, was Other would keep getting larger and larger. According to LTT, it's OOS storing logs that they never delete.
Is this fixed yet? It happened on my old Nord N10 last month. I want to get rid of my N200, should I but a OP 10T or Nothing Phone (1)? r/OnePlus' Discord isn't being very helpful.
