Force closing apps - Huawei P40 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, I have a problem with my new P40 Pro (2 weeks old). All in all everyrhing seems very stable and well balanced software wise, but there is one very annoying thing happening.
Since the very start I have had apps randomly force closing, without any kind of error or crash message. Some even crash again and again when I start them. I open them, crash, open them, crash. Some apps like reddit (boost for reddit and baconreader) crash after a few minutes of usage. My app store (apkpure) crashes a couple of times at start up before I can even use it.
I really hope someone can help me out, does anyone else have this problem?
My phone is running on EMUI 10.1.0.147, don't have any mods besides a Huawei theme (which I only have been using sfor two days now). Also the P30 lite (new edition) of my mother has the same problem (but not as often), and it's running EMUI 10.0.0.250.

Stock ROM: crash / reboot every 9 days 9 hrs 30 min

My stock ROM crashes (or auto-reboots) every 9 days 9 hrs 30min like a clock.
It happened for at least third time in a row, or most likely it is going on like this all the time because I only noticed this odd behavior when I installed a little "uptime" app. After 3 times obviously that's not coincidence, something is causing my phone to crash or reboot every 9d 9hrs 30min.
Has anyone else notice or had same problem?
Stock rom, locked/unrooted, with stock apps and very few extra apps installed, after previous crash I removed almost everything I had installed in the past, I kept only AirDroid, ColReader, Google Drive, File Manager, Mobo player, Skype, SPB TV, TeamViewer - nothing else, yet it still crashed. I can't figure out is it ROM or any of the apps.
edit - perhaps I should have posted in ROM development... Moderator, please move it?
I wish I could help but I've never been able to stay on the stock ROM for that long.
But....no, you've posted in the right place. Put it in developement and it'll get moved to HERE.
There's a TMobile app on there that monitors the days until suggested reboot (7 days) and will then proceed to "warn" you consistently when you're over that period. It is possible that this app is clashing with one of your other apps or doing something in the phone - maybe using too much memory? /shrug
My phone does the exact same thing after a week but it doesn't reboot, it just randomly "soft-crashes" after I hit the back or home key while playing a game or backing out of dialer, apps, etc.
It's extremely annoying and happens whether I have few apps or my normal stock of apps; the only time it doesn't happen at all is after a factory reset (if I don't update anything).
The only thing I can do to stop it is to reboot the phone, as suggested on the 7th day...as soon as I see that notification, I reboot and so far so good.
Good Luck.

Freeze/crash apps

I experience freeze and crash of apps randomly. More of them appear during game but it seems statiscly normal since i spend more time on them.
Anyone experience the same problem ?
I use my phone the whole day with power link connect to the phone, and no app crash appear. I disconnect the power cable, and 5 minutes later a crash appear. Can this be related ?

Hi all,
This is probably a stupid question. I'm on an L29 180 rooted rom & get constant App freezing.
How do I go back to stock or fix my issue? I've trawled through the forum but can't get any clear instructions for the L29..
Thanks in advance

Problems with MM rebooting (even after 2 resets)

Hello,
I have a new AT&T H900 not rooted for past 5 months. It was working fine until the MM forced update. It started to shut down (apps stopped responding) some of my apps. I read that I needed to reboot fresh, so I did. Even directly after reboot, apps still kept shutting down (stock apps like Google, messaging, just to name a few) at different times, even before adding my old apps. I decided to reboot a 2nd time with the addition of clearing the cache every time ( I read somewhere that this should help). It seems that the apps seem stable, but now my device keeps rebooting at a moments notice (specifically when it is computing multi tasks). It has become very unstable. How can I fix this? Should I try a 3rd reboot? Thanks.

This is very odd. Usally apps closing like that mems theirs a compatibility issue. For now lets focus on your rebooting.
Try leaving your phone with the battery pulles for atleast 10 minutes. If that doeant solve your problem, see if it randomly reboots when you have it charging. My G3 did that if i ran more than one thig with it off the charger. And my case was a bad battery. So it may be your problem aswell

RAM/Cache cleaner issue on Mi 6

So I bought my Mi 6 a couple of weeks ago, had no major problems with it except some glitches on the manual mode in camera which wasn't a big deal to me cause manual mode on my phone camera really didn't matter much to me.
But after I was amazed with all the customizations in the Themes application, I just faced a glitch that made the cache cleaner (which works by tapping on the bottun on the left side of the home bottun) stop and found long delays that kept my device frozen for like a minute or two, and it sometimes even crashes after taking a long time and then sends an error message saying "Overview isn't responding". So my device was unstable when trying to clean the cache and close all of the open apps which made my device unfunctional for a minute or two. I tried different themes and it was like they all had the same glitch, except the theme Limitless and the default theme which were already installed on my device at the first place.
This issue is annoyingly preventing me from using any custom themes because I couldn't tolerate that sort of delay I had never seen before even on cheapest phones!
I've already reported this issue for like 3 times through the Feedback application on my phone, and I'm writing this here to ask if any of you guys have faced the same problem. And ask for the 4th time from Xiaomi to fix this issue because it prevents me from using any custom themes.
Thanks and have fun.

Note 20 Ultra having sudden crashing issues

This isn't my phone. It's my wife's. Her phone was working fine until a couple of hours ago. Now she has five apps that are crashing. There is an install notification in the notification area. When she taps it, it goes nowhere. Clear and swipe don't get rid of it. She goes into the update area and checks for an update and there were no updates available. Nothing was done to the phone before this all started happening. It was just sitting on a table.
I know nothing about these phone and how they work but I know that you all do. She's tried restarting the phone multiple times and it's made no difference. She's also uninstalled and reinstalled the apps. Any suggestions on how I might help her out?
Actually, we might have found and fixed the issue.
PSA: If your Android apps keep crashing, update 'WebView' and Chrome [Permanent fix]
Android users seeing constant app crashing can update the Android System WebView component and Google Chrome to fix the problem...
