Concept
Flash and be happy out of the box!
The kernel provides 4 Spectrum profiles and 3 Franco Kernel Manager profiles for most usecases. Balanced / Battery / Performance (default) / Gaming. For choosing another profile as Balanced please install Spectrum from the Google PlayStore.
If you want to modify the profiles just run a kernelmanager like EX Kernelmanager and change what you want.
The Android 10 version comes with autoinstalling Magisk module and autoinstalling config app made by Senior member xXx and Senior member tanisch2k09!
To preconfigure the kernel uses a config file made by well known Senior member @xXx
Many thx to both for this oustanding contribution to this project!!!
The Android 10 version supports Magisk 20.3 or higher only!
These are the tunables you could modify:
Defaults in [ ]
Profiles battery, balanced, [performance], gaming
SELinux [permissive] / enforced
CPU minimum frequency little 300, 403, 518, 614, [691], 787, 883, 1075
CPU minimum frequency big [710], 825, 940, 1056, 1171
CPU minimum frequency prime [844], 960, 1075, 1190
GPU minimum frequency 200, [305], 400
GPU Input boost off 305, [400], 441
GPU maximum frequency up to 900 MHz (comes with 600 MHz frequency set!)
etc.
!!! WARNING !!! 700, 800and 900 MHz are GPU OC frequencies and NOT stable on all devices!
The SmurfKernel configuration file is placed in /sdcard/SmurfKernel: If you want to use the kernel with it's default configuration just flash it!!! For custom changes please edit the SmurfKernelConfigurationEditor by @tanish2k09. The settings are applied saving the config. Your actual configuration is written to smurf.kernel.bootlog.

"with all features from PMEM versions"
I understand that it will not work "a better camera" and "HDR Camera" from Almalence. Both do not work on DCT 4.2.2 r9.

Hello!
I mean, I merged all custom features which I added to the stock kernel over the time. So, basically, all custom features from Phenom Kernel v6.3.2 were merged.
I edited the changelog, thanks for reporting!
And this kernel is only for ION ROM's so for ADC Team's CM10.1 RC1 not the PMEM RC9

OK, I know it. It scares me reinstalling dozens of applications to version ion and the fact that some may also not work. After all, congratulations to continued progress in improving our ariesve.

Hi guys,
just want to inform you that i have tested antutu benchmark with this kernel - though i'm not a fan of it , but i have read about problems with it in the K^Kernel thread. With this kernel the benchmark run throuhg to the end
First result InteractiveX 1651 MHz SIO 6377
second result Ondemand 1400 MHz RAW App just closed at the end of the test. After restarting there was a result ??? 5965
third result SmartAssV2 1400 MHz NOOP 6037
Just a few results without any meaning despite that the benchmark works....
additional EDIT:
Meanwhile Christopher had investigated the cause for the problem for ANTUTU-Benchmark with "BIGMEM-K^Kernel" so it seems to be related to BIGMEM-Versions of the ION-customkernels.
Have a nice evening

you don't have to reinstall nothing, you can upgrade directly from r9... and apps are working, the problem with antutu benchmark on k^k is due to an application bug and it is already fixed (don't want to spam this thread, I say this only to let you know that all is working)
Black screen
Yesterday I installed 4.2.2 ion r1 on pmem r9, and this morning I uploaded Phenom 4.2.2 Kernel v0.1 for ION.
.
I have just bought a Moon+ Reader Pro is another application that is not working properly.
Starts, but I do not see the text because the screen is black.
.
On my HTC Desire everything works perfectly, so a black screen that is definitely not the fault of the application Moon + Reader Pro.
.
If there is someone who did a clean install of 4.2.2 ion, please check how it behaves Moon+ Reader. Thank You in advance.
.
I put this information in the thread with the kernel, but I do not know if the problem also applies to 4.2.2 dct r1 ion.
.
=============== edit =============
.
The problem disappeared after uninstalling and reinstalling the apk.

Not yet. I don't really update kernels when I'm doing good with what I have,
Anyone else having issue with the saving of a "Profile" w/ the included and recommended "Synapse app" that comes with this Kernel?
I have had different errors, yet same results per each release on the (910T) Note 4 on r14, r15, and now r16...
So since this thread is here in T-Mobile forum discussing and I'm not getting much of an answer in it's original thread due to so many different variants/released versions, thought I would throw that question out here :fingers-crossed:
Working good for me... tmo note 4.
*Note: I discovered the error with inability to save "profiles" w/ this kernel & Synapse was due to the app "FolderMount" which modifies a /system level file :sdcard.
After some research and rolling back to original said file & uninstall of "FolderMount" app, all is well.
Just wanted to report so if anyone else runs into mentioned issue 2 posts back.. :good:
Is this for kk or lp?
Should note that this is for LP. Just tried on my KK and died.

Try Following combination for improved battery life
Using bio shock governer for Big cores and blu active for little cores. This combo giving me better battery life with seemingly no loss of performance. Try it and let us know.
Damn, if you can set selinux permissive then u can use v4a. ?

Does version 2.0 include the stuff from 1.8?
I got the kernel installed, but selinux is still set to enforcing.
Question
This kernel work on Treble rom? Example : Lineage Os
Fingerprint is quite a lot slower
Edit: nvm I think it's just the bad kernel settings that I set
For next update, pls add oc option, decrease the minimum CPU frequency, increase charging speed and add thermal control. Hotplugging is useless if the cores cannot me turned off due to aggressive throttling by thermal control
Plz add over clocking and under clocking in next updates

@CATUVA21, I tested during one hour or so, and everything was working perfect...
Then I received a call but the display was different as usual, looks like that I'm doing a call for an "unknown" number, not receiving one as expected. So the issue is that I cannot place or receive calls.
logcat enclosed
I agree, same "unknown" error for me. The rest is ok
Haven't tested that calling issue, but for me,
Wifi not working
BT not working

Huawei modified the modem partition, there is already a magisk module that corrects the error:laugh::laugh:
thanks for activating threads @Darth

Hi. Tried the kernel on my p20 lite but when opening spectrum it says not supported. The screenshots seem to indicate it is. Am I doing something wrong?
Sent from my ANE-LX1 using XDA Labs
a magisk module was added to call
Thread reopened. Update the sources link in OP.
You are good to go.

Final work
there will be no more updates?
Will this work on 8.1 treble rom?

It worked for me . (source: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8...pment/spectrum-labyrinth-kernel-r2-2-t4096129)
If not, install Kernel Adiutor app and set cpu and I/O scheduler: (the same settings as in apk Spectrum)
Balance mode
cpu: darkness/impulse
I/O: zen 2048kb/zen 2048kb
Performance mode
CPU darkness/impulse
I/O zen 1024 kb/zen 2048 kb
Battery mode
CPU powersave/powersave
I/O zen 64 kb/zen 64kb
Gaming mode
CPU performance/performance
I/O zen 4096kb/zen 4096kb
Overclock the CPU
Is it possibile with this Custom kernel to overclock GPU and CPU? Because i've tried to do it with Kernel Adiutor but it didn't change much the performance. Spectrum app didn't chance performance, too.

IMO this kernel doesn't let you overclock, only lets you toggle cores and change governors.

OnePlus 7 Pro / OnePlus 7The only fully unified kernel for OOS and CUSTOM ROMs
Concept
Flash and be happy out of the box!
The kernel provides 4 Spectrum profiles and 3 Franco Kernel Manager profiles (Pie only) for most usecases.
The Android 10 version supports Magisk 19.4 or higher only!
These are the tunables you could modify:
Defaults in [ ]
Profiles battery, balanced, [performance], gaming
SELinux [permissive] / enforced
CPU minimum frequency little [300], 403, 499, 576, 672, 768
CPU minimum frequency big [825], 948, 1056
CPU minimum frequency prime [825], 948, 1056, 1171
GPU minimum frequency [257], 345
GPU Input boost off [345], 427
GPU maximum frequency up to 850 MHz (comes with 585 stock frequenccy set!)
etc.
!!! WARNING !!! 675, 765 and 800 / 850 MHz are GPU OC frequencies and NOT stable on all devices!
It's recommended to use my kernel paired with

Thank you for bringing this to us!
haven't flashed a kernel yet been waiting on this thanks for all the work you put in
Good Job! Awesome performance. Thank you Erik. :highfive:
Many thx for the kind words. Have fun using it. There are several OC steps available. 850 MHz is for sure not for all
Great job like always! This has been my main kernel for the OP6, OP6T and 7 Pro. Definitely reccomend it!
Is this really happening
Click on the smiley above !
Oh, forgot to add the option to turn off gold core boost, next version. You could use boost option little only for now.

heard good things about this kernel on OP6.
Sucks OP not merged Pro 5G sources as no custom kernel boots for me.
Yeaaahhhhh the best is here. This device doesn't need to be tinker with, except your kernel. As always thanks and i hope you to have some great time and super performance kernels.
Stunning performance, fantastic kernel....cheers Erik......:good:

great thanks
are you certain they will update with unified source or is that your theory?
I already flashed exkernel with exkm. Is it possible to flash with exkm without twrp.
