Build your own CWM recovery
The procedure in short is:
A. Read the ROM
B. Process the ROM and generate the recovery (should
be automatic)
C. Flash the generated recovery
In a bit more details:
A. Read the ROM which includes these sub steps:
1. Create a scatter file for your phone with
MTKDroidTools and leave MTKDroidTools open
2. Open SP Flash Tools and load the scatter file you just
created
3. Go to ReadBack Tab and Add a new entry - name it
as you wish but leave the ROM_0 prefix - double tap the
new entry and choose the length of ROM you want to
read - to create the recovery it is enough to put the
number of the partition right after the recovery (you can
take that number from the scatter file you created) -
Keep in mind the number must be in Hex - so when you
copy it from the scatter file - make sure it's with the 0x
prefix - something like 0x03d80000 for example.
4. Hit the Readback and disconnect your phone from the
computer, shut it down, pull out the battery for a few
seconds and then put the battery back - don't turn the
phone on - just connect it to the usb - it should start
the readback and eventually should finish with a green
circle - if everything went good Smiling
B. Process the ROM and generate the recovery (should
be automatic):
1. Go back to your MTKDroidTools - which should still
be open from before - and hit "Process ROM" and
choose the one you just read from the SP Flash Tools.
2. If the reading was successful - you should see the
partitions you read being copied - and you would be
asked if to create CWM recovery automatically - answer
YES Smiling
3. After this process has ended successfully - go into
the backups folder inside the mtkdroidtools folder - and
you should see the ROM partitions you read - including
the original boot.img and recovery.img as well as the
newly created patched_recovery.img and
patched_boot.img
C. Flash the generated recovery:
1. Create a new folder and copy your original scatter file
you created in step A1 and your patched_recovery.img
into this new folder.
2. In the new folder you created, rename the
patched_recovery.img to just recovery.img
3. Open SP Flash Tools, choose the scatter file you
copied in the new folder and you should see that it also
adds automatically the recovery (make sure it's the
correct folder) - Make sure that ONLY recovery section
is selected !!!!!!
- hit Download and disconnect your phone from the
computer, shut it down, pull out the battery for a few
seconds and then put the battery back - don't turn the
phone on - just connect it to the usb - it should start
the flashing of the recovery and upon successful flasih -
you will see the green circle
it works for me always .... so i thought of sharing with you guys...try at your own risk...

If you guys want to root your device with CTrecovery which is ported by me, then this is the guide for you.
Requirements:
• Karbonn Smart A11 Star
• CTR (Carliv Touch Recovery)ported by me, needs to be installed. (for flashing CTR click here)
• adb installed.
• Supersu zip file, placed in adb folder
Generic Guide
• Make sure adb drivers installed.
• Connect your karbonn Smartphone via USB cable and click on USB Debugging.
• Open adb folder and click SHIFT button from keyboard and select right click from mouse.
• You see an option “open command window here”, select this option.
• A command prompt will open, then type below command.
adb.exe devices
• You can see your device, with some numeric no. if it is sowing “unauthorized” then check that a prompt is available at your mobile phone screen, select accept.
• Again type above command and see your device.
• Then go to recovery, via hardware combination or via adb.
• And then select “Install zip” on your mobile phone in recovery menu.
There are four options:
o Choose zip file from /storage/sdcard0
o Install zip from the last folder
o Install zip from side load
o Toggle signature verification
• Select the option “Install zip from sideload”
• And then select “command prompt” and type the below command.
adb.exe sideload filename.zip
• After this the “Supersu zip” file flash via sidelaod, and then select restart to restart your mobile phone.
• Open app drawer menu and then you can check that “Supersu” installed.

Create a custom boot animation for any android device

A BUNCH OF OTHER SOFTWARES {LINKS FOR THEM IN THE DESCRIPTION}
So first of all install all the softwares..
STEPS
1. Create a folder in your desktop for saving all the files .....
For eg:- call it Boot.
2. Open "Free Video to JPG Converter"
3.Select "add files"
4.Make output path as "Boot" folder in desktop.
5.Click "Convert".
6.Open "FastStone Photo ReSizer".
7.Open your folder containing images.
8. Select "add all" option.
9.Select desired out put format{ Best format is png/jpeg }
10.Select " UseAdvance Option" and click "Advance Option"
11.Select "Resize" option.
12. Enter your device's height and width in pixels. {mine is 1080X1920}
13.Select "OK".
14.Make sure that "Rename" option is checked.
15. Click "Convert"
16.Now create a folder and name it as "part0" {case sensitive}.
17.If the number of images is more than 75 create another folder named "part1" and copy the images starting from number 76 into this folder. [Each folder can have maximum 75 images]. If images are more create folder as part2,part3 etc....
18.Create another folder. Lets call it as "files".And move part0 and part1 to this folder.
19.Now open"BOOT ANIMATION CREATOR".
20..Select "Next".
21.Select "Choose Folder".
22.Browse and open the "files" folder..{do not open part0 or part1"}
23.Hit next.
24.Select "Add Loop".
25.Select "part0" from drop down menu.
25.Select number of loops as "1". Do the same for part1. [if number of lopps=0,it is an infinte loop]
26. Click next and Save the file as"bootanimation" [case sensitive]
27.Copy the boot animation to your phone/tablet.
28Open "ES File Explorer".
29.From "Tools" option navigate to "Root Explorer" and make sure that it is selected.
30.From root explorer option select "Mount R/W" and change all option to "RW".
31.Copy the bootanimation.zip to"/system/media/" and paste it there. {make a back up of existingbootanimation.zip in that folder by renaming it to"boot animation.zip.bat".
32.Once thats done you are ready..Go ahead and restart you device and enjoy your new boot animation..

Its a common error
make sure that the twrp downloaded matches your system requirement
and also specify the error so that i can look into it

[Sony Ericsson Arc S][ROM MODIFY] Modify/Edit System.sin and repack Flash file FTF

HI Everyone
As you might have heard that you can't modify Sony Ericsson Arc s Flash file, i.e sin file, as it requires sony's signatures and blah blah...
but wellp it's not true, now you can modify it, i found a solution but it's a messy way to go through but well it works and tested by me. might also work Sony ericsson arc rom as well.
Note: The Yaffey tool is currently only supported on Windows pc. But you can other tools if you afe linux user their are several available
Here's the trick:

Tools needed(compulsory):
Flashtools (version 0.9.18.6)
WinRar (Recommended)
Yaffey tool (only Windows version available), or any yaffey editor extractor/repacker on your linux.
Notepad++ (text editor)
Steps:
Extract FTF flash file(your device flashfile).
Copy "sytem.sin" to a temporary working folder.
Open flashtools click "Tools" > "Sin editor" select the "sysytem.sin" file and click "Extract Data" then "system.yaffs2" file will be created in same folder.
(Download Yaffey tool from below)
Open yaffey tool.
Click "Open" and select the "system.yaffs2" file.
Now delete/modify from this tool, when done click "File" > "Save as" enter new name "system-new.yaffs2" and save it.
now you have a new "system-new.yaffs2" file.
Open flashtools goto "Tools" > "Sin editor" select the "system.sin" file again.
now click "Advanced" > "Create sin as" and select the "system-new.yaffs2" file which we created earlier, then click "Open".
wait till it's complete, now that "system-new.yaffs2" file will be converted into "system-new.yaffs2.sin" file, rename it to "system.sin".
Now extract the full Flashfile "*.ftf"(your device fashfile) in a temporary folder with Winrar. Now open the "META-INF/MANIFEST.MF" with any text viewer/editor and note down the "branding" and "version" it will be used while repacking the rom.
and then Don't touch any file just replace the "system.sin" file with the file we create renamed to "system.sin" earlier.
then most of you might know what to do, now we have to repack the flashfile by flashtools so Open Flashtools click "Tools" > "Bundles" > "create" then double click on Device column and select the device name by double clicking it. enter the Branding and version(enter the info we got earlier from "manifest.mf" file) check "No final verification". click "..." on upper right side and select the temporary folder where your full flashfile was extracted and click "ok". then you will find many files in "folder list" column select all files expect "*.ta" files if any. then click "->" button all files will be moved to "Firmware content" column then click "create", now wait till it's completed.
Now the rom is successfully created, You can find the firmware in "Firmwares" folder in flashtools data folder(for windows pc: it wil be in users or programdata folder in ".flashtools/firmwares/ dir").
You can now flash it to your device from flashtools

If their's error then we need to change flashfiles cmd25 checksum to false.
then:
open flashfile.ftf with winrar, extract "MANIFEST.MF" file in META-INF folder to a temporary folder, and open it with Notepad++ and change line "cmd25: true" to "cmd25: false" remove the lines "rda: " and "revision:" if exists and save it.
the file should look something like this:

version: 4.1.B.0.587
Now open Winrar open META-INF folder, then click "Add" and selct the edited "MANIFEST.MF" file and click "ok" again "Ok" in winrar dailog now the file will be overriden now it's you can flash it.

Really spent few hour to look around the internet but found nothing, i wanted to remove the bloatwares from my Sony Ericcson LT18i.
Get flashtools from GDrive:
Flashtools v0.9.18.6.exe (118mb)

[TUT] Change H+ Network Status Bar Icon Manually to 4G for 3G Devices

Required:
1. Devices Rooted
2. Root Explorer
Steps:
1. Please do backup your device before to do this tutorial for just in case system failure.
2. Open Root Explorer if has installed.
3. Find SystemUI.apk file at System -> Priv-app folder.
4. Then copy and paste in the root of Micro SD Card.
5. Click and hold SystemUI.apk then choose to Extract All.
6. Go find SystemUI extracted file folder on SpeedSoftware folder -> Extracted folder.
7. Open SystemUI folder -> Res -> drawable-hdpi.
8. Find this 6 files on Drawable HDPI folder:
stat_sys_gemini_data_connected_4g_orange.png
stat_sys_gemini_data_connected_4g_orange_roam.png
stat_sys_gemini_data_connected_h_plus_orange.png
stat_sys_gemini_data_connected_h_plus_orange_roam.png
stat_sys_gemini_signal_3g_orange.png
stat_sys_gemini_signal_4g_orange.png
9. Copy those 6 files from Drawable HDPI folder then paste on new folder to edit.
10. Please do not confuse it & here's you must to do:
Rename "stat_sys_gemini_data_connected_4g_orange.png" to "stat_sys_gemini_data_connected_h_plus_orange.png" (without ").
Rename "stat_sys_gemini_data_connected_4g_orange_roam.png" to "stat_sys_gemini_data_connected_h_plus_orange_roam.png" (without ").
Rename "stat_sys_gemini_signal_4g_orange.png" to "stat_sys_gemini_signal_3g_orange.png" (without ").
And if it ask to overwrite or replace, just click or choose yes.
11. And if it has done, you just choose and copy only 3 files:
stat_sys_gemini_data_connected_h_plus_orange.png
stat_sys_gemini_data_connected_h_plus_orange_roam.png
stat_sys_gemini_signal_3g_orange.png
12. Paste back to folder SystemUI folder -> Res -> drawable-hdpi on folder that you've been extracted before & please click or choose yes if it ask to overwrite.
13. When everything has done, then click on SystemUI folder & hold to choose Zip this folder.
14. Rename from SystemUI.zip to SystemUI.apk then copy & paste back to System -> Priv-app folder and please click or choose yes if it ask to overwrite or replace notification.
15. Click or choose and hold SystemUI.apk and please edit permission to R-W-R-R or enter Octal to 0644. Click yes if it appear notification "The current file system is read-only, do you want to remount as read-write and continue the operation?" and put it back to read-only mode if it has done.
16. Reboot your device if you has ready for big surprise and some "Forced Close" notification, and please reboot again your device for more stable & please let H+ data network become 4G on your Android device status bar.
(Tested working fine on Acer Liquid E700 Triple SIM - MTK6582 - Android Kitkat 4.4.2 Stock ROM)
PS: Please do it at on your own risk. i'm not responsible if your Android device bootloop or system failure because this modifying.
