Hey guys, I tried different sidebar menu apps, with each one when i start an app from homescreen there is always 3-4 sec. lag.
It has to do something with a androud security measure, but i dont know what it is.
Do you know how to fix the lag ?

So, I've been having issues with my TF101 for a while now. At first I thought it was ROM related, but I've seen this issue across a couple different ROMs, including the stock ICS update. The issue is that frequently, the launcher will crash and restart when swiping off the main homescreen. Other times, the UI overlay will crash. That is to say, the icons and everything will vanish, but the background will still be there. Sometimes a widget might be frozen on the screen (it's visible regardless of swiping, and you can't interact with it). I can still swipe, the background is still visible scrolling, and if you know where something should be, you can even tap it and it will open. Has anyone else experienced this? I've noticed the issue in the stock ICS launcher, Apex, or Trebuchet. When it happens, I either have to restart or at least re-apply the system them. Even the lock screen UI vanishes.
FWIW, my TF101 is a B60 unit, rooted, running RaymanFX's CM10 (4.1.2) ROM, and TWRP.
So no one's seen this kind of issue before?
I have a similar problem. Hitting the "home" button (it never disappears) solves the problem, no need for other apps or reboot or anything. I just plain hit the home button and everything reappears.

Click to collapse
Sometimes, my UI vanishes, but if I wait about 10 seconds or so, it comes back. I guess the launcher crashes, but is automatically restarted by the kernel. I use the K.A.T kernel, maybe that is better with the re-launch when it crashes?
I have a question, allmoust all launchers have a little lag, i tryed GEL, stock, nova, apex and holo HD, the best was holo HD, i rarely saw lag when swiping on home screen, my phone is stock (no root, no unlock bootloader, etc.) and i am running the latest kitkat update. Is this a bug, or someone is facing the same problem? The lag is noticeable when the scrolling wallpaper option is enabled. I did a factory reset, but no luck, this happens after a while, i installed action launcher and after a day the home screen scrolling was horrible...
I am not facing any lag. Might be you are considering transition animation as lag. lulz

Im also extremely picky and i also notice lag, i dont think there is anything you can do about it ((((
Yes, the transition is laggy, but it is present even on the stock launcher, i was worryed that maybe my phone has a bad digitizer since this was present from day 1. My phone is the xt1032.
ok, the problem was dashclock widget i deleted the widget and installed bright weather, put the widget on my home screen and the phone is smooth as butter (even on stock launcher)
I think all androids have slight lag on any launcher, even if it is completely minimal. But on our device it shouldn't lag very bad because of it being quadcore

The tweaks are available within the settings of all recent Android phones in a section called “Developer options.”
This section might be hidden on some phones, but it’s very easy to access. On many phones, you just have to open a certain page in the settings and tap a button seven times. Use Google to figure out how to enable Developer options on your phone if it’s currently hidden (for example, search “enable developer options HTC One”).
Once you have access to Developer options, simply scroll until you find the following three settings, which may be located on the main screen or within an “Advanced” subsection:
Window animation scale
Transition animation scale
Animator animation scale
Tapping each of the three aforementioned settings will reveal that it’s set to “1x” by default. If you want to speed up your phone or tablet dramatically, simply change each of those three settings to “.5x” — that’s it. p.s restart your device.
Well then, get another one

Has anyone else had an issue with apps being slow to load from the home screen?
Y'know, how when you click an app, it'll immediately go into the animation and start loading? Well with a few select apps for me (mostly browser apps like Chrome and Brave, but sometimes with Facebook and others) there's a slight pause between when I click on the app and when the animation starts.
It's almost as if there's a latency issue, but it only happens when opening those apps from the home screen. If I'm clicking open a link in facebook, or loading from a google search, or toggling apps from the recent apps page, the delay isn't present at all.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? It's kind of annoying as the S7 and S8 are the only devices I've used in years now where this has been a problem.
Hi guys
A while back I received an OTA update to L29C185B186 and ever since then I'm regularly (multiple times daily) having an issue with apps, most particularly Facebook, force quitting without any error or warning. It unexpectedly animates in a similar way to pressing the home button to minimise, then when I go to the app switcher I see it listed there but if I tap on it then it slides away as if I closed the app.
Anyone else experiencing this and/or know how to fix?
Stock operating system, no root
Go to Settings - Battery - Settings icon up top - turn off Close power excessive apps.,
It's a bug, it's supposed to close background apps but it does it to foreground ones too.
Think you hit the nail on the head there, Facebook among other apps does appear in the history of autoclosed apps. Useful feature when it works right, but bugs will be bugs
Thanks mate
As the title suggests, when I swipe up on the app drawer, there are times where it's 2-3 seconds to load the apps. It shows as nothing there for several seconds then loads them all. I feel like this is a battery optimization thing, but dunno the service/app name for the app drawer/launcher on Oneplus to make sure that's not optimized.
Anyone have any ideas?
The only thing I can think of is when you reboot your phone and quickly put in your pin and then you swiping up at the same time to open the App Drawer, the icons haven't loaded yet.
Other than that. The phone is faster than anything Ive ever seen or used.
Nah, it's not that. This will happen several times a day. I turned off battery optimization, so I guess we'll see how it goes. Still, would be nice to know what the Launcher is called so I can turn battery optimization back on without it affecting the app drawer.
