hi, 1st off I am a noobi.I flashed my rom and messed it up, Phone would say touch pro ,then shake, then go out, come back on and do the same thing over and over. I downloaded a few differnt things onto the sd card and tryed to get it to load from it ....no luck. i have finally got it into bootloader mode and I am not sure what to do. right now on the sd card i have 2 things, on the bootloader screen i have 2 things but i am not sure what to do. the top one on the bootloader screen says:
raph 800
spl-0.37.cmonex
microP-hermann(led) v0c85
next in green is:
microf hermann (key)v8c05
psoc-raph stage_evt v20
I do not know what to do now, do I erase one and which one? then what will it load from the sd card now? Can anyone help me out ? I was trying to unlock and upgrade the os to win 6.5
OK, I read through all the postings I could find regarding this. Some questions remain:
Just how similar is the A510 to the A700 when it comes to CWM and ROMs?
Specifically, has anyone installed CWM 6.0.1.1 for A700 on an A510? And consecutively, Cyanogenmod 10?
Also, has anyone successfully put one of the A700 ROMs out there on an A510? I mean, has really done it himself, not hearsay?
I gather that the only difference is the graphics resolution?
I've been successful in installing the CWM 6.0.1.1 for A700 in my A510.
'cos my A510 was half-bricked so I could not test the functions.
OK, I felt adventurous and tried it myself:
installed CWM 6.0.1.1from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1791165 on my A510. It renders a usable CWM, but the screen is split in the middle. All CWM menu options show up in the left half and can be toggled with the Vol / On buttons. I did not try all CWM functions but wipe cache, wipe dalvik and install zip worked.
Then I installed CyanogenMod 10 for Acer A700 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1806980 on my A510. It seemed to work, but because the screen resolution is not set right, one can´t really use the device. I tried both landscape an portrait screen orientation. I somehow managed to get past the google setup, but tapping on symbols does not really work and the symbols you need are outside the visible screen. I could slide desktops, but only saw about 1/4 of the screen. So no luck, reverted to Stock Acer Rom again.
However, I think CyanogenMod10 would work if the screen resolution could be set right. I am no dev and basically don´t know what I am doing here, but if pawtip could include the proper screen resolution for the A510 in the work he is doing for the A700, we might get something workable.
Did u make a nandroid backup before installing cynogenmod 10 and restore from it? I was wondering if this is what u did when u said u restore to stock coz prev cwm for a510 doesnt have a working restore.

Frankenstein kernel image if you want to experiment (A510 kernel configuration on A700 device tree).
Completed untested and unsupported. Flash boot.img on top of CM from the other thread and resolution should work, your device will be misidentified as A700 though.
Recovery should work, but will misidentify your device causing it to accept A700 ROM but not A510 (should any be released in the future).

After some searching and trying, I found that this:
SDs_Acer_AV041_A510_RV28RC02_WW_GEN1.zip
was the only stock ROM I could put on my device. It is not the original ROM (I bought my device very early from Amazon Germany).
So, no, I did not make a nandroid backup. The above ROM is my backup. No matter how much I had my tablet screwed up with previous CWM failures and bad software that is floating around, I could always revive it with the stock recovery and the above ROM.

Sorry, that didn´t work. Firstly, the recovery did not work, only showed android lying on back with exclamation mark.
So I pushed the CWM 6.0.1.1 with adb. That produces a screen with a flickering band in the middle, but is workable. Then I wiped cache and dalvik, installed your latest CM10. On reboot, flickering screen but android startup animation in lower right quarter of screen. Counting up on app update. I then pushed your root.img with fastboot. rebooted. Same thing: only part of the desktop shown and flickering band in the middle of the screen. Did some playing around reinstalling CM10, but no effect.
So I put back my SDs_Acer_AV041_A510_RV28RC02_WW_GEN1.zip with CWM 6011, which also puts stock recovery back on.
I realize that it must be difficult when you don´t have an A510, so I just want to thank you for your trouble. Lucky the ones that got an A700 that they have you!!!
Us A510 owners will just have to wait until a dev comes along who takes a good look at our device for CM10 support
I have an star s5(mtk6859). I tried to use a twrp recovery (attached recovery) that was for another device (with lower resolution) and when I boot in the recovery, right side of my screen started to becoming white. after that I came back to my previous recovery and turned my phone on but my touch did not work, it works only in a limited area of my screen and when you touch somewhere it act in somewhere else.
I try some roms and recoveries (that it tested them before and they didn't have any problem) but it did not help and also tried official rom and does not change anything.
plz help me. I don't know what to do.
Hi, here's the deal: I was given an Asus TF300t with the touch screen broken to a hit. I've replaced it and it worked fine for about a week or so. Now the touch panel acts as if someone had his fingers stuck at the corners, either the top right or both bottom ones.
I'm trying to rule out a software glitch, so I tried to access the recovery to wipe everything and restore to defaults. I can access the menu with the choices of wiping, booting android or entering recovery. I can wipe from that menu. If I try to enter the recovery option, I get a screen with the android logo which also says "error".
Could this be a sign of a hardware problem with the nand? And, in any case, how could I go about fixing the recovery so it works?
(the touch screen issue might still be a hardware issue, due either a defective replacement or something I did wrong when replacing it, but I'm trying to rule out software at this point)
Thanks in advance

First step is to put your tablet into fastboot mode, and then with the fastboot program install the latest stock ROM. That'll clean everything. If you still have issues with touch, looks like hardware.
Hello,
Yesterday night i broke my beloved one plus one with the door of my car, the screen is cracked up but the LCD Display still work and show everything; the problem is that the touch detection is dead, i cant access to the phone through my PC since the phone have a pass that lock the memory until it is unlocked
My phone is rooted, but my recovery is TeamWin TOUCH recovery and well the touch doesn't work :/
I am kindda clueless and i really hope one of you might have the solution for me, i have a really important data for study/work as long as photo and part of my live into this phone i'll be devasted if i were loosing all this
I am waiting for any proposition you may have
Thanks
PS: Does anyone know how much would it cost to repair ? Lcd work but i think i saw a leak so it wont last long
This is what i am thinking about right now:
Flashing a new non-touch recovery via fastboot mode
Open the ADB menu and make and ADB backup if possible
Last time i did an ADB it was with the phone fully booted so i don't know if it is possible from the recovery
Also i could open the recovery and access the file from there ? does it bypass the code protection it have on normal boot ?
