Hello,
Yesterday night i broke my beloved one plus one with the door of my car, the screen is cracked up but the LCD Display still work and show everything; the problem is that the touch detection is dead, i cant access to the phone through my PC since the phone have a pass that lock the memory until it is unlocked
My phone is rooted, but my recovery is TeamWin TOUCH recovery and well the touch doesn't work :/
I am kindda clueless and i really hope one of you might have the solution for me, i have a really important data for study/work as long as photo and part of my live into this phone i'll be devasted if i were loosing all this
I am waiting for any proposition you may have
Thanks
PS: Does anyone know how much would it cost to repair ? Lcd work but i think i saw a leak so it wont last long
This is what i am thinking about right now:
Flashing a new non-touch recovery via fastboot mode
Open the ADB menu and make and ADB backup if possible
Last time i did an ADB it was with the phone fully booted so i don't know if it is possible from the recovery
Also i could open the recovery and access the file from there ? does it bypass the code protection it have on normal boot ?

The digitizer is blacked out because the screen was broken. Phone will still turn on and I have a new digitizer on order. The phone is locked. Is there a way to unlock the phone to download information to Keis?
If you have a custom recovery (TWRP or CWM) you can use the buttons (Both Volume+Power) to put the phone into recovery mode. Then if you look at a screenshot for that recovery you can probably make a backup and then transfer that to your computer. Not sure how possible it is, but it's better than nothing.
Just backup via recovery and wipe via odin
Not sure

I'm not sure on how to do that. I've looked everywhere for a replacement touch screen/digitizer and can't seem to find one for a decent price or here in the states. I bought one for a black one, same model, for $96 and replaced it myself. The color is a little off, yellowish, but it works well. Any suggestions to where to purchase a new one or unlocking this one to get everything off of it and just get another phone?
My girlfriends T mobile LG G2 D801 was dropped and the screen cracked and the digitizer only recognizes the left of the screen so she can not input her lock code. Being pretty android savvy I was hoping I could figure out a way to get CWM installed to be able to pull her pictures off the SD card for her. Unfortunately I can not connect to the phone through ADB since I can only assume she never turned USB debugging on because why would she? The phone is stock rom unrooted. I booted into the stock recovery and only have the option to wipe the phone which I would assume will wipe her sd card also. I booted into download mode and upgraded the recovery with the LG support tool for the hell of it. So obviously I'm able to install a new recovery that route but I cant find anyway to install CWM without a working screen or USB debugging already enabled. Does anyone have any suggestions? Bricking the phone trying isnt really a concern since it needs to be sent back to the insurance company anyway. Any help is appreciated.
Good day ,
I've been looking around for solution in this forum for two days now and none has helped me solving the problem I'm having. Hopefully by posting more specific details on this thread, you guys could help me pinpoint what to do. My main goal is to backup all data from the internal storage if possible (the data in the SD cards are backed up fine) then proceed to possibly make the phone usable again.
The phone was initially somehow soft-brick (loop on bootloader - tampered, locked, security warning and S-ON). Tried all possible actions/options on the bootloader but none has worked out, it would just prompt me back to bootloader. I am really not sure, as to how it ended up soft-brick. The phone was bought through Vodafone Australia carrier and has never been rooted etc.
So following guide on from (forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one-m8/398427-htc-one-tampered-locked-security-warning-2.html), So from the guide I've done as followed:
- I understand I have to firstly unlocked the bootloader, which was done just fine. So after Unlocked, I could still boot to hboot and getting tampered, unlocked and S-ON (no security warning).
- Then I connect my phone to fastboot, flash twrp-2.8.5.0-k2_ul.img and clear the cache
- I then tried to access the recover mode
- The phone restarted and stuck on the HTC logo with "Starting recovery..." message at the top but nothing really loaded for a long while
- So then I tried to restart it but it just won't work, I then pulled out the battery and re-inserted it
- After that, the phone was just stuck on the battery symbol with solid orange light on (this occurs if the USB cable is connected to power or computer), I tried all button, buttons up/down power hold etc (I even tried that covering middle battery part and let the outer ones connected) but none helped
-- If I unplugged the USB cable, the battery symbol and the solid orange light would still persist until it runs out of battery
-- If I removed the battery then re-insert the battery without connecting to USB cable, it's not displaying anything regardless how long I pressed the buttons (I tried holding them for more than 3 minutes which I assumed enough?)
That's pretty much everything, I really hope someone could shed some light for me - the thing is the data is fairly crucial that it may even help me prove a legal case, where some physical threats were sent out to me. :crying:
Thanks for the assistance in advance!
Help anyone?
i guess that if you didn't break your phone as i did the datas are still there and so, have you a recovery installed like twrp ? if not do it with bootloader, all you have to do is access fastboot and recovery to use adb commands and copy datas, if you can't do that i'm afraid there is no much to do without erasing all..

Hi there,
Thanks for your response, so I could access fastboot before and installed TWRP, the phone became 'totally' unresponsive after I installed TWRP and restart the phone.
At first it's stuck on recovery screen loading screen, then it just won't show anything. At the moment, I am wondering if there is any way to recover the internal storage data. I have contacted local HTC service center about the issue and they recommended me to go back to Australia (where I bought the phone) since they don't sell this model here in Indonesia (nearest country selling this model would be Singapore or Malaysia) - so yeah not much help from them as well.
Any other thought?

sorry wrong topic...
Hi there,
I have cracked the screen on my phone and was wondering if it was possible to access it via PC/USB or any other way to completely factory reset it (no personal data left). I dont think I can get ADB access, as I cant see what's on it, and the 80% of of it cant respond to touch. But it does have the following:
- Fingerprint access(able to unlock)
-Root access
-TWRP
-Unlocked bootloader
Will this be possible?

Are your volume keys working ? if yes then , flash a new recovery(non-touch) to your phone using odin(probably ur stock one) and then factory reset your device using the volume keys , if you dont remember the option sequence of your recovery than reply me your Phone's manufacturer and model number.
And I would suggest that in future whenever you flash custom roms , never flash a touch one .
I have a rooted one plus 8 and when I go to unlock it the screen flashes between my home screen saver and my lock screen pic. Cant use at all besides when I get calls but that only allows me to talk nothing else.
This is the video of what’s happening
I’m able to boot into recovery and other modes fine. Safe mode does the same thing just flashes. I have a super important Audio file i need on the phone and I can’t figure out how to fix this.
I tried adb pull but idk what file or directory it’s in.
I tried using ./adb backup -all and I get this “now unlock your device and confirm the backup operation” but I can’t unlock my phone and I’m in recovery mode.
