Hi everyone hope you are all well and safe
After a few weeks of using HMS and completely ditching GMS I can honestly say I am fully sold into the HMS core it took some tweaking I have to say to get into apps and bring over photos etc.
with that being said I wanted to start some sort of thread to those that are just starting out with HMS and what the benefits of HMS are and how do you bring them to life.
A key one for me is Huawei Cloud is currently offering 50GB for 12 months for free, I always maxed out 5gb and always thought why bother I found this a nice touch from Huawei Mobile Services.
Has anyone got any similar experiences that they would like to share so those just starting out there HMS journey can find useful.
Thanks everyone

When I got my device I got 10 free movies to watch via the Huawei video app. Pretty cool.
Install microG to resolve most notification issues.. Not perfect but fixes many apps

This solves a fair few notification problems for many apps ... and still a pretty pure HMS install .. microG is a small open-source app used for many years in heaps of ROMs ... it is simple to install but have added heaps of steps to make it easy ..
For HMS+microG
microG
https://microg.org/
1. Perform a factory reset of the phone (as you need to install apps after microG install).
2. Install F-Droid app (search for the apk .. F-Droid is a store with access to search for apps)
3. Add this repo into F-Droid .... https://microg.org/fdroid/repo
4. In F-Droid, then install MicroG Services Core.
5. In F-Droid, then Install MicroG Services Framework Proxy.
6. In F-Droid, then Install the MicroG FakeStore.
6. Open the Microg Settings app. Grant it all permissions and disable battery optimizations.
7. Add your Google account.
8. Turn on Device Registration, Cloud Messaging and SafetyNet.
9. Restart your phone.
10. Open Microg Settings app, check the status under Cloud Messaging. If it says not connected enter the following in the phone app: *#*#2432546#*#* and restart your phone. Check the status again – it should say Connected. (I had to enter the phone string and restart my phone twice until it said connected).
11. Install apps
12. Check connection in microG app for Google Cloud Messaging
All this will give you is push notifications with Google Cloud Messaging (including the Google Firebase messaging).
I also had notification issues caused by either Huawei PowerGenie and Android Doze .. if the notifications work and then suddenly stop after an hour or so, then try these .. in the end, I am not sure that it helped but worth a try.

Seem less experience ChrisHtube - I had never set it up on GMS devices but now on HMS the pictures I take auto sync to my partners device, my tablet and synced to my Mothers device so she can see her grandchild (daily since lockdown)
How about yourself?
they did a win reward game on app gallery, got you the chance to win a p40 pro, watch etc just for downloading a game. amazing

If you receive all the notifications that you need, then do not worry ... but the steps are super-detailed .. it is actually very easy ...
1. install f-droid apk
2. install x3 microG apps
3. enable microG and install your own apps to register in microG

If you dont want google, then there is a good chance you can happy very easily.
I am very close ... HMS+microG and it almost perfect except for Skype notifications .. spent heaps of time trying to solve an no luck yet .. I am about to resort to GMS
For those that want google apps, I have no idea why anyone would want the hassles & reliability risks with HMS+GMS+icebox just to get an extra 2 or 3 DXOMARK points.

Nice guide - albeit I couldn't overlook the irony of using Google Docs here!
Nice document. For me though it's not really the Google apps that I can't substitue, I hardly use any anyway. It's mainly apps that don't work because of GMS.
i have to say that having had this phone for a few days and trying to use it without play services it was becoming a struggle for me.
I downloaded as many of my apps i use from the app store and 3rd party sites but its just not the same. I forgot how much information i had stored with google like passwords and login details etc.
I managed to install the play services yesterday and so far everything seems fine, no errors and everything i used on other android devices available and working. Dont think i would have kept it otherwise even though the build quality and specs are amazing.
For those of you in doubt who have been a long time android user its really worth the effort with the installation.

Which guide did you follow? I see one on XDA and other ones floating around the web. Did you run into any issues or did the guide works step by step?
I followed the one on here which does not use a usb you plug in the phone. The video is in German and a but hard to follow at times and did face a few issues but I think that was because I had missed a step. I then found a similar video on YouTube that had some English on it and managed to figure it out.
Search an app called 'MoreAPP' in AppGalary, it has the apps you are missing.
there is one called 'Youtube Vanced' which doesn't require GMS

I followed the same guide and everything but the notifications works. Only notifications from a few apps work. All apps that require the Google services to get the notifications (about 85% for me) do not seem to work.
I too didn't managed to login with MicroG and without GMS...
Think it would be useful to update the list to include apps e.g. works 100% (Facebook) works ok but no notifications (BBC News) or does not work at all (eBay, The Athletic).
The more digging that I do the more it seems that other than getting some of the core Google apps to work the difference between using a P40 Pro with and without the GPS hack is actually quite minimal as I understand that the hack may help you say get Photos working but it will not help you get all of the notifications that still rely on GPS?

It's funny that you mentioned eBay and The Athletic as they are two apps that I use quite regularly and am having the same issue - is there any way around this without installing GMS?
My P40 Pro only arrived a couple of days ago and I really like the look and feel of it but the notifications thing is already bugging me. Currently, I'm only HMS (no micro-G or GMS) but not being able to get notifications from the stock email app (my account is Gmail) or news notifications from BBC etc. is a real flag for me...

install microG and move on .. notifications are completely screwed on HMS-naked .. even Huawei App Gallery apps are screwed-up with notifications .. very strange that this is often overlooked in the P40 Pro reviews ... how can you answer a skype call if the app never rings with a notification?
I've taken the plunge and pre-ordered my P40 Pro which should arrive in a few days. I have done some reading around as to whether to go GMS-naked or not and have a few questions still to help make my decision, hoping someone can help...
1) I currently have a Mate Pro 20, so I would be looking to clone my apps over. My understanding is that I can expect the vast majority of them to copy over (even if not on Huawei's AppGallery) but if I was to go GMS-naked, am I right in thinking that these apps would then never update (unless they are on AppGallery)?
2) Without installing GMS, is there any way of getting Chrome working? I use it as my browser on my tablet and desktop and it's helpful to have that sync so would really ideally like it on my phone.
3) Same as question 2 but regarding Google Suite apps such as Sheets and Docs - any hope in getting them without GMS?
4) I have read some positive reviews regarding BlueMail, is it possible to use this for Gmail accounts without GMS?
5) Without GMS, will UK banking apps only work if already on AppGallery? I currently use Starling, First Direct & NatWest - especially the former two so hoping that they would work.
6) If I did go down the GMS route, would I need to be reinstalling it every time there is an Android or Google update or would it be a one-off?

Regarding #5.
Starling works, though Natwest will not either with or without GMS sadly.
I now use yolt which will sync your account for the next best alternative.

Thank you, really helpful!! Good to know about Starling.
I don't suppose anyone else knows the answers to questions 1-4?

1. Most can be phone-cloned. They will not update unless you install Aurora, APKPure, Aptoide, Amazon App Store .. just install all of these and pick your favourite. Notifications wont work for most.
2. Firefox is better and can sync across devices.
3. Part of the attraction of the P40 Pro is going google-free for the challenge and to support Huawei .. I am using Office from the Huawei App Gallery.
4. Despite being on the Huawei App Gallery, BlueMail notifications were unreliable with HMS-naked ... warning message that no Google Cloud Messaging is installed .. that you had to clear evey day or two .. and people that are using BlueMail don't realise that notifications are delayed for a while. BlueMail is a bad app at the moment.
5. Banking apps .. phone-clone or install from Aurora, APKPure, Aptoide, Amazon App Store ... my banks are working fine . not too many people are reporting problems.
6. Why do you need GMS? Have they fixed notifications with a GMS install? microG is a much simpler and more reliable solution at the moment to give you notifications and you can still get apps from Aurora, APKPure, Aptoide, Amazon App Store.
If you find a reason that HMS-naked and HMS-microG are not acceptable ... and you really have to do a HMS-GMS setup, then I would not buy the P40 Pro ... just get the P30 Pro.
4. I used the stock Huawei email application. Lets you add multiple accounts (gmail/outlook) and gives you notifications without issue. I ended up preferring it to Gmail/Outlook app.
5. I don't have my P40 Pro any longer, but when I did FirstDirect app worked fine through GMS. Monzo bank did also. I downloaded NatWest and it worked but I didn't have an account so couldn't actually log in.
6. You only lose your GMS install if you factory reset. Software updates don't affect it.

I pretty much used the phone out the box with GMS, so maybe that's why I had a different experience. Gmail and Outlook definitely came through with timely notifications using stock app for me.

I have had a mate30 pro for about 4 months and ive not had any struggles, Depending on who you bank with currently you may not be able to get an 'app' but what you can do is save a hot link, So from the browser hit the dots on the top right and add to home screen, What you can do which is what ive done is saved a link with in the login page, really for me it does the same thing shows my balance and that's it really.
I mean if you're looking for apps through app gallery there is 2 key ones I would really recommend one is MoreApps and one is Petal both of which once installed act as a hub for other apps you may need. Its one that I know I've relied on hugely.
Other than that how you getting on with it?
It arrived yesterday and really it's a beautiful phone! Haven't had too much time to play with it yet but seems great.
I cloned over my apps from my Mate Pro20 and had a quick play. All of my WhatsApp history seemed to automatically copy over which is great. My main issue so far is that a couple of apps I have tried to use (e.g. The Athletic) say that Google Services Installation Required in order to use them. If hey are not on AppStore, is there any way I can use them as apps without GMS?
Similar question for other apps that I have cloned over such as betting apps. When I load them it says that location services must be enabled to use the app (which they are) but it doesn't eem to be picking up on this (probably GMS related?).
Are More Apps & Petal a way round sourcing apps not on AppStore but without having to install GMS?

1. I had some success with some apps that were broken with HMS-naked, but worked successfully with HMS+microG (but I have never tried HMS+GMS as it is silly to buy a P40 Pro then hack GMS onto it .. just buy a different phone).
2. Petal is a terrible app ... it just links you to other app store .. google these well know app stores, go to their websites and get the apk for the store and then install the new store on your p40 pro ..
aptoide
apkpure
amazon appstore
f-droid
aurora
I have them all installed and play around with each .. they mostly have similar apps (other than amazon appstore and f-droid).
dont waste your time with petal.
Thanks, I'm a total novice here so it's really helpful to get some advice.
1) Is microg relatively easy to install? Am I right in thinking that it adds a Google foundation but without GMS? Therefore, some apps from Playstore that didn't work when first cloned may then work?
2) would the benefit of those appstores be that they may have versions of apps that don't require GMS but aren't available on Huawei's Appstore?
3) One other question that I thought of... for apps that I clone over and work fine (but aren't available on Huawei's Appstore) - how will I keep them updated? I do have a Samsung tablet so would I be able to periodically clone them over from that or would I need to do something else?

1. Refer below .. 10 steps but they are simple steps ... it might take 15 mins for the first time .. 5 mins for the second time .. small open-source app to provide notifications only. what notifications are broken for you?
2. correct .. aurora even looks the same as the google playstore .. install some apps, update as required. I often just update apps directly from aurora or apkpure and dont even use the huawei app gallery.
3. Update your phone-cloned apps with aurora, apkpure, aptoide, f-droid, amazon appstore, etc ... I usually update at different stores every few days just for fun ... today is aurora day .. tomorrow is apkpure day.

2. correct .. aurora even looks the same as the google playstore .. install some apps, update as required. I often just update apps directly from aurora or apkpure and dont even use the huawei app gallery.
3. Update your phone-cloned apps with aurora, apkpure, aptoide, f-droid, amazon appstore, etc ... I usually update at different stores every few days just for fun ... today is aurora day .. tomorrow is apkpure day.
microG

1. Perform a factory reset of the phone.
Check the status again - it should say Connected.

That's great, thank you. I'm still using my Mate Pro 20 as my phone at the moment so not really sure how effective the notifications on my P40 Pro are. It sounds like it would make sense to factory reset and Microg my P40 Pro before I properly make the switch to using that then? You mentioned it should only take 5 mins to do Microg the second time... unless I misread the instruction guide, why would I need to do it a second time?
And presumably once I've installed Microg, I could just clone my apps over from the Mate Pro 20 as normal?

1. I would test your essential apps first and check if notifications are working for you. what are your critical apps for notifications? maybe you can go HMS-naked and no need for HMS+microG.
2. You have to install apps after installing microG ... otherwise the apps don't open .. if you have only installed a few apps, then no need to reset ... you can just install microG, uninstall those few apps, then reinstall those few apps .. but if you have 20 apps, it might be quicker to reset and start fresh.
3. quicker the second time as you know where to click! that's all.
4. yep.
but .. hopefully your critical apps have notifications working real-time & consistently, then no need for microG.

Critical apps would be WhatsApp, SMS messages and emails. Other notifications such as news/sports and some other social media would be important but not critical.
I'll pop my SIM in tonight and do a comparison of how notifications are popping up vs my Galaxy tablet and Mate Pro 20 to see whether a reset and microg is necessary.
Thanks again for the help, I'll let you know how I get on!

Thanks for the guide, I followed it and got microG running, then cloned over my apps and appear to be getting notifications through (at least for the apps I've tried), which is great!
I have now run into a problem with my Google account though. I was trying to sign in to YT Music and typed in my Google account details but it said there was a problem communicating with Google servers. I then went in to Settings > Users and Accounts > Google and there were some sync issues so I removed the account and went to add it again but now it won't work as before, My microG is also showing as without an active Google account and when I try and add it, I am getting the same issue, I enter my email and password and then it takes me to Googles Terms of Service, which I agree but then get the following message:
Sorry... There was a problem communicating with Google servers. Try again later.
Any idea how I can add my Google account again?

So I cleared the data on my MicroG Services Core app which appeared to fix the problem of not being able to sign in. The issue I now have is that I've signed in to my Google account then when I go to an app such as YT Music and go to sign in, the account doesn't show up, when I then click 'add account' it takes me to MicroG Services but I type in my email and it just says 'This account already exists on your device'...
So my Google account is registered on the phone but whenever I try and sign in to any app with it, it redirects to MicroG Services Core for sign in and then it just says that the account already exists and I cannot go any further with log in

I think you're expecting too much from microG on a non-rooted phone without signature spoofing to use the full microG capabilities.
If want to run a full microG install, then buy a phone with good rooted ROM support with microG already built-in.
I logged into microG and have done no other google logins since .... if any apps have requested a google login, then I have ignored.
you can use amazon music, tidal, spotify, etc .. no idea how to use YoutTubeMusic

I definitely don't know the intricacies of what microG provides but it was definitely enabling much better performance from notifications.
This is an issue for me though as I get free YT Music so not something I would particularly want to give up. I don't appear to have an issue signing into YouTube via my browser with my Google account but it appears any app that requires an email log in directly on the app (as opposed to through a browser) automatically routes me to log in via microG core services and when I then try and log in, it says that the account is already regsitered on my device (which it is but I can't seem to access it for this purpose).
I'm not sure if I just did part of the process slightly wrong and if it#s worth me resetting and doing the whole process again, or if for some reason it's not possible?

I'm wondering if it would work if I reset the phone, cloned over any apps where I need the few apps where I need to log in via Google (I don't need notifications for them anyway), then installed microG, then cloned over all the rest of the apps?
Hi guys
I just got huawei p40 pro today and installed GMS manually. My discord doesn't produce any notifications. Can I install microG alongside GMS to get it working?
Thanks
i think you have to icebox your GMS to get notifications .. search some other threads here

Yes you can.
When I got my P40 Pro I installed Micro-G just for YouTube Vanced. A week later I decided to install GMS and kept the Micro-G on the device. No issues found after combining Micro-G with GMS whatsoever.
BTW I didn't try to install the official YouTube app as I'm more satisfied with Vanced.
Does Micro-G help purely for notifications or could it help apps that require Google services to work?

No, Micro-G will not allow you to run Google-Dependant apps. You need to install GMS for that. Which is very easy in case you are curious.
I can't install microG, it says I already have the latest version. The only thing I did was installing Google services and play store.
What should I do to get push notifications working? My banking app relies on firebase ?

For the Micro-G issues I honestly don't know. For me I installed Micro-G first and then GMS. But I remember when I tried to install YouTube Vanced it didnt run, meaning that Micro-G installation was not successful. I seached the web and the solution was deleting Mkcro-G and then installing SAI (Split APKs Installer) from APK-Pure and then re-installing Micro-G. Then YouTube Vanced worked so I know now that Micro-G is working fine. ----> try this it may work.
For your second issue about the push notifications, Firebase is a Google-Cloud massaging service. And it will have the same problem as other Google push notifications such as Gmail. There is a solution on xda I previously read but I can't find the thread. Try searching it.

Options:
HMS-naked (broken notifications on heaps of apps even Huawei App Gallery)
HMS+microG (for notifications with google firebase cloud messaging)
HMS+GMS (notifications broken)
HMS+GMS+icebox (freeze google play store as required for notifications and unfreeze intermittently for updating apps)
I think it is called icebox (just from memory .. or something similar) .. just search in the recent threads and you will find the process to freeze & unfreeze GMS to get notifications working.
This is awesome explanation. Thank you so much, I will have a look tonight
I just found out icebox requires all my account to be removed first. I will wait this weekend first
My understanding is
1. Install Icebox before you put anything. It requires ADB and you need to remove your Google Accounts beforehand.
2. Install GMS
3. Disable GMS with Icebox
4. Install MicroG
5. Install all the apps that you want. Make sure you have microG first before installing apps

can you post the link to this new process?
are you developing something new .. i have never heard of this combination before ...
HMS+GMS+Icebox+microG
why install microG if you are using GMS+Icebox? the purpose of Icebox is to give notifications, then you dont need microG.
if you really want the google play store, I really wouldn't bother with the P40 Pro.

No I'm not developing anything new ? I'm trying to get the best of both worlds.
This GMS installation mod seems to be using microG underneath bcuz I got the message from the official microG app that my microG is already the latest version. I got the Vanced microG version installed without any need for icebox. But push notifications still doesn't work.

All good guys. Thanks, yeah MicroG vanced version didn't help me with my push notification issue.
but linux2525 pointed me to the right direction
1. HMS + GMS + Icebox. <-- At least I got my Banking app working now with Google Push notification. I think the next time I reset my PC, I would go with HMS + MicroG instead. I dont play games and mostly just Youtube, Spotify and Instagram only.
Also my whatsapp Google Drive backup still working with this combination *I'm backing up 3GB to my drive

just out of interest .. which apps were those? i am curious to test on my p40 pro.
YouTube Music (technically works but can't seem to add an account)
The Atheltic
Paddy Power
Betfair
eBay
There were some others as well but can't think off the top of my head. Some of those I can use the websites instead of apps but often they aren't as user friendly.
YTMusic .. works great on firefox preview .. except a major problem .. cannot download.
eBay is not great in browser
Hi everyone.
I'm new to the forum and thought it would be a god opportunity to discuss banking apps. I have been trying to test banking apps via friends, family to see what works. I have built a tech channel and that's why I'm testing, because some of the biggest questions are around apps and more specifically banking apps. I wanted to share my findings and see if anyone else has had experience with any other banks. The below list has been tested through me and work on HMS as an application. I look forward to your input.
Banking apps that are working on HMS,
Tesco
First Direct
Halifax
Loyds TSB
Nationwide
Santander
HSBC
Monzo
It appears most Banking Apps are easily accessible either through Huawei's App Gallery, Phone clone or APK or Standard weblink and save as a shortcut, what do you all think?

I have seen that advertised but haven't ever tried it or met anyone that has. How did you download it? Also i know a lot of people are side loading GMS which can potentially cause minor issues as GMS and HMS aren't built to work together. So if you have that could be one reason?
For banking apps there are three possibilities. (as for my opinion)
1- The app is on AppGallery, go ahead and download it and start using it.
2- The app is not on AppGallery, and is working fine if cloned from another device, also go ahead and use it.
3- The app is not on AppGallery, and won't run if cloned. Please do not side-load it from external sources for security reasons obviously. Live with the browser until the app is available on AppGallery or get yourself GMS installed and then get the app from the Playstore.
I went for the 3rd option and installed GMS as my local bank "SABB" app is not yet available on AppGallery and not working when cloned.

If what the people posted are correct, MicroG should be the one help with push notification.
My understanding is
1. Install Icebox before you put anything. It requires ADB and you need to remove your Google Accounts beforehand.
2. Install GMS
3. Disable GMS with Icebox
4. Install MicroG
5. Install all the apps that you want. Make sure you have microG first before installing apps
Technically you can get all the apps that you want with microG and PureAPK. but I went with the hard route
PS: I still haven't done it because I need time to backup my P40 Pro again, I don't feel like repeating from step 1 again after installing GMS and the apps configuration

Hi, I'm interested to get your thoughts. So a lot of people seam to be installing GMS despite it causing issues as its running with HMS. What would you say is your main reason for wanting to install GMS? I have the P40 Lite and i have got a P40 Pro on the way none of which ill be using GMS on just HMS core.
The way i see it is peoples main needs are,
Social media, which you can get via Phone Clone, App Gallery, or Petal search which pulls from major APK sites.
Maps, you can use Google maps via Phone Clone but cant log in or Here we go maps which is actually pretty good.
Banking Apps, most of which work through phone clone, App Gallery. and the ones that don't can be saved as a shortcut for now whist it grows.
Email, you can still use your Gmail account via Huawei's Email
Backing up data/ Photos can be done via Huawei Cloud
Accessing Google Photos can be done via Shortcut or from a PC/Laptop
What are your thoughts?

Hi. For me I didnt face any issues with both HMS & GMS together. The only known problem is Gmail notifications do not show up and I am using the default email app instead.
And yes I could add the URL of the bank on my homescreen but some how I still need GMS for many apps such as Maps, WhatsApp backup and many more. Plus I the banking app is much easier than using the web page obviously.
With GMS, I don't have any issue with YouTube, or Google map. I don't care about push notifications much but for some reasons my Bank N26 requires push notifications and it doesn't seem to be clickable when I need to confirm a transaction.
This is the only thing why I need push notifications.
Hello everyone,
I'm using P40 Pro. I installed GMS before 3 weeks, it's working good for me. I don't get any GMS error notifications I did software update it's still working.
But I have problems with apps notifications, I don't get notifications for like:
-Twitter
-LinkedIn
-Workplace
-Spark mail
-Other apps
Battery opt. it's not a problem, I think it's a main problem with GMS.
I would like to know if there is anyway to get all notifications working normally? I don't want to use AuroraStore or freeze my GMS.
Or it's better to get back on stock HMS and use ACMarket, Apptoide, etc. to get my notifications working 100%?
Thank you.

Notifications are broken for many apps with HMS-naked install .. so it is far from 100%.
I am using HMS+microG and it fixes notifications with many apps ... but not all unfortunately ... maybe 60%
1. HMS-naked (broken notifications)
2. HMS+microG (notification fix – generally ok)
3. HMS+GMS (for google apps and broken notifications)
4. HMS+GMS+icebox (for google apps and notifications)

I started to use AuroraStore with frozen GSF.. After that everything started to work perfectly. I updated my GMS over AuroraStore, installed Google Duo.. All notifications started to work. So happy.:victory:

Download & install Huawei multi-tool on your computer: https://pro-teammt.ru/en/multi-tool-huawei-honor/
Connect your Huawei to your PC and open the multi tool.
Go to the "Modifications" tab
In "Disabling/enabling applications" just disable com.google.android.gsf
And that's it.
I am starting to lose the love for my P40 Pro ...
a) microG - almost perfect except notifications with Skype
b) GMS+icebox - I cannot add my gmail account into outlook.
Might pickup an S20 Ultra 5G on the way home.

Why S20 Ultra 5G? That thing has so many issues with exynos and camera autofocus.
I got my Gmail working fine on my Outlook.
I'm a bit confused why some people get different results from GMS HMS + icebox
I'm pretty happy with the 2 setups, the only annoying thing is when I need to update my apps on aurora store it's not automatic. I have to grant install one by one ?

gmail isn't gonna work so use "Outlook" app or something else and add your gmail account there. Works great for me.
Playstore isn't gonna work if you freeze Google services Framework. Obviously. You gonna have to use Aurora Store or Apk Pure. The point of this operation (freezing GSF) is to get notifications working. I had problems with notifications when having BOTH Huawei Mobile Services AND GSF.
Android auto works?

Too bad, i'd rather used Playstore due to purchases that i made using it. I would rather not having notification to avoid the hassle with in-app purchase issue
If you freeze gsf with MT8 and unfreeze it, are there any problems. I tried something like that, I had icebox installed too, and after unfreeze at 6AM in the morning I've got a train of non-stop notification that my device is not certified by google.
Was that a side effect of freezing or just my playing with the services too much?
@sheikgr is right. But I did it slightly different, before unfreezing in icebox i opened Google Play Store - From the left menu i choose Play Protect and I turn off that function at all. Then i did unfreeze. Gmail/Maps, GPS itself.. all works fine.
But if true is what @madmack is claiming, i think its better to keep services freezed and simply to use bluemail/outlook instead of gmail. Because even if gmail is showing notification its always informs much much later than it should

Hi, I have a problem with some location based app, like Tripadvisor, after unfreezing: in place of the map, I get the message "Play services are updating" and the app can't get position.
If I freeze, some apps ask to enable high precision positiong by google and can't get position as well.
Did you experience these bugs? Thx
Just use the methods on this website ... Use Chrome to translate ... They are well written and reliable ... Factory reset and start fresh with this ..

Can you please explain something? As I see in the website , with one method you have playstore, apps etc working but no push notifications; the other one says no gms, appstore, etc but you get notifications. Is there a way to have both without the gms freezing trick?

Can't have notifications and Google Play store at same time.
Keep frozen.
Google to find aurora appstore APK file and install for your apps and updates
I use outlook mail in exchange mode, and notification work immediately. Calendard and contact sync work like a charme
