I recently purchased this device because my Moto suffered the same fate (usb not recognized). When I tried to change the rom I could not recover it because of this usb error. The board was broken internally (WTF).
If I had an octopus box, I could repair it....
In short, it only remains to change the charging port.

Hi, I hope this is the correct sub forum for talking about Android TV boxes, if it's not please accept my apologies and tell me the correct one.
I have just received this Android TV Box, Cs918 MK888 Q7. I bought it from here: Aliexpress
I have tested it and it's working without any problem with the AV wires, but the quality of the image is not so good. And the problem is when plugged with the HDMI cable, the image in the TV is always appearing and disappearing, you can check this video: Video Mediafire
That's very annoying, since the AV quality is not so good, and I have already tried another HDMI cable and another TV, unsuccesfully. I kwow it's probably a hardware issue but is there any chance that it's software? Or did anybody have a similar experience and can make any suggestion about the hardware?
Thank you so much, I was so happy when I realized xda has a subforum for Android TVs and sticks, I'm sure I can get some answers here or if I buy a replacement find the best ROMs and support.

I bought the same thing. Take the following steps and it will be working!
1.open batch tool application (see link below)
2.find firmware and add to FW path
3.plug cs918 and needn't power it on
4.press recovery button and don't loose it.
5.find a otg cable connect computer and cs918
6.you can loose recovery button when the batch tool connected divices 1 turn green.
7.click upgrade and waiting for the finsh,device will upgrade automatically.

Connecting your box can be tricky. Took mee about 30 minutes.

I got the zeki streaming media box for christmas. it sucked btw. nothing ever worked. now with the power on, nothing is happening.. i tried plugging it into my pc via male to male usb. my computer is reading nothing..... is there a way to sideload new firmware? i got rid of cable. this is the only way my sons and i can watch our shows.. someone please help!

Dear folks,
I own a S805 IP TV box from XORO. Unfortunately I am facing big issues connecting the box to a screen using a HDMI-DVI cable.
Over all I have tried 5 cables and had to send them back as they did not work!
Only way is to either buy a new screen! .....or disable the crap..
Could someone pls help me out as I am not very familiar with that android stuff. Device already rooted!

My phone isnt getting detected by any pc. When I connect it, only charging occurs. And the following error in the screenshot is shown. Pls help
Try a different port on the PC or a different cable... if it truly isn't being recognized by ANY computer, even Linux, then your USB port on the phone is probably bad, but it is a simple fix, probably one of the easiest hardware fixes on this device. A quick google search will get you the parts and a tutorial video.

so: I am fed up with an open boot loader and using magisk. I wanted to use the MSM/Unbrick tool to
set my phone up totally clean.
But now my phone isn't recognized by my PC.
My PC literally does nothing when I connect my phone - no USB sound or whatever.
The phone only charges when I connect it.
There is no change when I change the USB behaviour options in the developer options.
ADB lists no devices.
The Device manager does nothing - nothing listed.
I tried several different cables, installing several different drivers, using a user account and the admin account of my PC.
Can anybody help me? I am not a noob, rooted and modded my devices for many years and never experienced something like that.
Help is much appreciated!
P.S.: My Pixel 6a is recognized without any problems

I fear that my charging port is the culprit. Apparently a repair is unavoidable ;-/
