I'm having problem to record voice using my external microphone on my Realme 6 device. Its only record audio from internal microphone even the external microphone connected to the phone.
This what I've done:
1. Using 3 external microphone, different brand: giving the same result: not recorded from external microphone.
2. The same external microphone had been tested on: Huawei Mate P20, Samsung Note 5 and iPhone 6: working fine & smooth.
3. Using the same 3 external microphone to other Realme phone: Realme C2, giving the same result as Realme 6: recorded from internal microphone.
4. Tested on Redmi Note 4 and Note 9: even more worst: no sound recorded.
So, what is your opinion? Is it Realme set it up (we can't use external microphone)?

I'm having a similar problem.
I have tested several adapters and external mics but none of them are working on 3 differents phones.
I think it could be android related since 2 older phones with android 4 and 6 are working with the same microphones and adapaters.

In the last few days, I noticed a problem
When I’m talking (phone or buetooth car kit) after few seconds the sound is going to the speaker. The status signal still shows the original earphone/ bluetooh, but the voice is on the speaker.
After swiching to the speaker & back it’s OK, but meanwhile it’s annoying.
1- why is it so?
2- how do I fix it?

i have recently purchased the U11 and i was wondering about the use of an external microphone. I have a sony ecm 907 stereo condenser microphone with internal battery. I am using the camera / video app that came with the phone .
When i plugged it in using the 3.5mm / usb adapter, a dialog box popped up to inform me that the microphone was being installed .... in all cases the microphone is connected prior to launching the camera app.
i have also tried an electret unpowered lavalier mic but it treats this as a headphone
But the video app continues to only use the onboard microphones. I have tried front and rear cameras, 3d audio and hi-res audio in all possible combinations.
Is this simply a limitation of the camera software? or..
Do i need to use a particular type of microphone?
Do i need to install a 3rd party app such as Filmic Pro?
Do i need to change any other settings?
Do i need to install a patch/ app to get round this issue?
The phone won't have drivers to use the hardware and isn't capable of installing them as root is protected.
You will need an app to use it or there is even the chance you might have to root or even accept that it may not work at all..
Just got my new RedMi Note 8 Pro, 6Gb RAM, 128 Gb memory with MIUI 11.0.3 installed
I have an issue while using it with my bluetooth Interphone Tour intercom system that I use on my motorbike helmet.
I can connect them, listen music in the helmet, hear every sound while touching the screen even while forming a number or searching contacts BUT when starting the voice call the conversation is not transferred to the bluetooth device.
Also while trying to switch manually during the conversation between Interphone Tour, Speaker and Phone, the first option is not working.
To resume:
-can connect the device via phone's bluetooth
-the bluetooth connection is fully functional for everything else except any type of voice call (phone,Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Skype).
-Interphone Tour is working perfectly with the previous phones I had (Huawei P10 lite, Samsung Galaxy S4)
Please help me to solve this issue.
Hi, I have a Fire HD 10, sideloaded Google Play Store, but otherwise standard. I purchased a 3.5 mm audio jack style lavalier microphone that is supposedly compatible with all tablets and smartphones that have a 3.5 mm jack. The Fire HD 10 tablet doesn't seem to recognize it. When I record video, it's still using the internal microphone. I tried the microphone on a Samsung Note phone and it seems to be working. I'm a complete newbie and was wondering if there are any tricks to get it to work. Microphone: PoP voice Upgraded Lavalier Lapel Microphone. Thanks in advance!
I figured some things out. First, the USB C input worked vs. the 3.5 mm jack. I used an adapter to test it out with a Voice Recording app which defaulted to detecting an external microphone. When using the app, I had to disable Alexa who was using the microphone. Then I had to download a different camera app since the default camera app with Fire HD Tablet did not allow an external microphone. Open Camera does allow a setting to default to external microphone when present. Now I can record videos with the lav mic.

When i connect my Airdots to my PC it uses it only with Hands-Free device (aka 16k Hz sound quality). How can i use it with Stereo device (44k Hz)? Here is my attempts to make it normally work: https://files.catbox.moe/u4as64.mp4
