My phone is Xiaomi redmi note 2
In the last few days, I noticed a problem
When I’m talking (phone or buetooth car kit) after few seconds the sound is going to the speaker. The status signal still shows the original earphone/ bluetooh, but the voice is on the speaker.
After swiching to the speaker & back it’s OK, but meanwhile it’s annoying.
1- why is it so?
2- how do I fix it?
Other ideas?
Thanks

Hello all, new to the forum, with a brand new Mi4!
Here is my problem: the loudspeaker and/or microphone on the bottom are not working, but the earpiece is working fine. This means that when I call someone, I can hear him, but he can't. Same with medias (youtube, etc): they play, but don't output any noise. And I mean nothing at all for both, not "like from a really far distance". When I put the headphones' jack in and out, the headphone logo is always rightfully displayed (present only when they are plugged in). I can connect my UE BOOM 2 by bluetooth, and speak with it while calling someone, and it works.
Here are the solutions I tried, that did not work:
Plug in and out the jack's headphones really fast many times.
Try the hardware tests (tap five times on the "Kernel Version" in the "About" section). Failed the following: 4: Main mic speaker feedback test / 5: Simulation Call test / 6: Back mic speaker feedback test / 7: Top mic speaker feedback test.
If you have any solution / questions, please tell me. Here are the specs:
Model: Xiaomi MI 4W
Android version: 6.0.1 MMB29M
MIUI version: MIUI Global 9.5 | Stable 9.5.5.0(MXDMIFA)
Kernel version: 3.4.0-g1910d62
Thanks a lot, hope to hear from you guys! :cyclops:

Hello guys, just an update. I tried to record my voice, and it worked (I could hear it in my headphones!). I don't understand why no-one can hear me when I call them. Someone having the same problem as me?
Speaker not working
I am having exactly the same problem with my MI 4W phone too. How do I fix it?
Hi,
I could connect it (meizu chinese phone = comparable to sam s7 hw) to my headunit bt and there I had no problem with pairing it this meizu phone etc at all..
but I did not hear any sound (voice) from the/my car speakers came when I called someone (or home) and I did not hear a ring tone if I dialed a phone number too, after trying and trying to find a solution to it but nothings benefiting/helped.. yesterday I told meself why not tried an older firmware version of this meizu chinese phone you have nothing to lose.. right? and indeed, I have a fw that 1 year (almost) old is flashed it with it and you would not believe it mate, it worked immediately, I heard the ring tone and also the sound (voice) comes from the/my car speakers when I make a phone call as it should too!.
I hope it is useful to you guys too.
try
I have tried to Google this problem and I cannot find any result that resembles this problem. No reviews of these devices mention this issue anywhere, from Amazon to Aliexpress.
You guys are my last hope. Please help me.
I use an Infinix Zero 6 Phone
Here is a Link to the GSM Arena page for the specs.
Here is my journey with three different earbuds.
I ordered my Edifier TWS 1 Pro off the eCommerce Platform Jumia.
The first set arrived and I tested everything.
Everything worked except one thing.
I couldn't hear anything during calls.
When I first made the call, it sounded for 1 second and then the sound went off.
I could hear music playing on the phone and on my laptop but I could not hear anything immediately I hit the dial button to make a call.
If I switched to speaker or headset, I could hear the sound of the ringing.
I called my second device a Zinox Zpad X7 from the Infinix and I could not hear my own voice as I spoke into the microphone of the Zpad.
I connected the earbuds to the Zpad and I called the infinix and the same problem persisted.
I tried everything.
I enabled developer options and I tried the switch the Bluetooth codec to AptX but it just wouldn't change. It kept going back to SBC.
I reset all app preferences but the problem didn't go away.
I figured it was a defective unit and returned it.
I ordered another Edifier TWS 1 pro earbuds.
The second one arrived and I tested the calls immediately. At first, it looked like it was not going to work, then it did.
The next day, I was on a call when the sound suddenly went off when another call came in while I was on the first call.
The problem had returned.
I connected to the Zpad and the problem was still there.
I brought a third phone, an Infinix Note 4 and I connected the earbuds, the sound returned. I connected back to my Infinix Zero 6 and the sound was there.
Two days later, the problem returned.
I never bothered to connect it to the third phone. I connected to the Zpad and the problem remained so I just ordered a return.
I decided to go for another model, reasoning that perhaps my phone was not compatible with the TWS 1 pro.
I ordered the Edifier X5.
It arrived and the same problem started. At first, I heard the ringing sound for a second and then it cut off. I didn't hear anything again. The problem was back.
I connected to the Zpad and the problem persisted.
I connected to the Note 4 and the problem persisted.
I took the fourth device. A Xiaomi Redmi 9C which runs android 10.
1. I connect the Earbuds and make a call and I can't hear anything. Then I press the volume down key and I hear the ringing.
2. I switch to my Infinix Zero 6 and I make a call and I can hear the ringing. I press the volume down key and the sound stops.
3. I switch back to the Redmi 9c and repeat step 1, the voice comes back.
4. I connect to the Zinox Zpad 7 and it works. I press the volume down button and the volume up button and it still works.
5. I repeat step 2, same result.
PLEASE WHO CAN HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND CAN OFFER ME A PATH TO THE SOLUTION.
Thanks!
Hi all,
After Redmi note 6 pro which was working as it is supposed to, I have tried Redmi note 8, Redmi note 9 pro and now is am with a mi10 lite 5g (monet) but I still face connectivity issues regarding Bluetooth. I am many hrs in my Skoda kamiq with an bolero infotainment. Mi 10 connects to the infotainment rapidly and the FIRST call is handled correctly so I speak through the infotainment. BUT the second and all other calls no matter incoming or not are made via the phone's earpiece. Each time I have to pick the phone and choose the car option via the menu of the dialer's calling screen.
Since there is an audio connection to phone active shouldn't be the one to receive calls?
Could it be a Bluetooth connections prioritization issue ?
Can I prioritize somehow Bluetooth connections so to ensure that if car is connected then all calls be made through the infotaimnet?
Shouldn't the current handsfree bluetooth connection be the main to handle calls?
What if I have 2 connections to the phone active at the same time (eg a bluetooth handsfree and the car's infotainment)? Which one is in priority?
And why every time the first call after been connected is sent to the infotainment while all the rest to phone's earpiece?
Except it's something totally different and i am looking for in the wrong way.
Any suggestion is appreciated
Thanks in advance
very strange thing.
skoda car, i've used for 2 week without any problems the call when connected via BT to the car system.
but now every call i make or receive, both I and the responder/speaker, hear only a big noise.
Tried with another smartphone and no issue, but very strange if i connect the xiaomi to a BT ears no problems at all, if i connect the xiaomi to a BT speaker no problems at all...
I have already tried,:
-delete and reconnect the phone to the car
-reboot the phone
-manage the bt option on the phone, disable AAC and absolute volume
I have to try the xiaomi with another car....
any suggestion?
android auto isn't connected but it's possible that interfere with something else?
Many thanks

Hello. Any updates on the topic?
Let me add my story here too. The thing is- my phone is mi note 10 lite.
Here it goes. So, recently, about a week or 2 ago the Bluetooth audio stopped working completely on my device. I don't understand where to look, and how did it happen. The phone was global official rom, locked bootloader no root etc.
The situation is as follows : the headphones /car audio system can connect and pair. But there's no sound when you press the play button. Moreover, the Bluetooth works, at least I think it works also because I have a huawei watch connected to the phone. And I have notifications everything is fine.
So during these 2 weeks I tried to clear cache/bt and wifi settings (no need to tell you that my headphones connect and play music with no problems with other devices. Tried on my wife's p20 pro.) i tried to make factory reset. No results. Today I even rolled back on android 11 rom from 2021. Offcical rom. Sadly nothing changed. Everything works perfectly, except Bluetooth audio.
Have redmi buds 4 pro and amazfit powerbuds. With my phone they connect but no audio. With huawei p20 pro they connect and work how they should. Also they have no problems with my mi tab 5.
Don't know what to do.
