I have the Xperia XZs SOV34 Au version, and wanted to flash a Global Rom to get rid of the bloatware and generally speed up the phone...I am a noob when it comes to flashing, but somehow followed the instructions and got the Global version flashed. But the problem is that the Camera is simply not working anymore...app crashes every time and gives an error saying not working... Even third party apps don't work...after running the diagnostics it says the camera is not connected....camera was working fine before the flash... any way to fix this? Is it possible to re-flash the original SOV34 Au firmware? Any help is much appreciated!
I have same model with single SIM and using 41.3A.2.247/R1E customized BLX G8231 firmware
It seem stable except NFC, but still have a little bloatware

Hello There,
My phone is an L55U(China Unicom variant of D6633). I have been using D6633 non-rooted stock rom for some time. and received lolipop OTA. It was okay but somehow it had problems like not able to read pictures in sdcard etc.
Recently I switched to pre-rooted stock ROM following the procedures shown in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/stock-firmware-23-1-1-e-0-1-customized-t3084544
When using this rom, the google apps constantly crash, so I switched to another stock rom shown in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/d6603-5-0-2-flashable-stock-23-1-0-690-t3056361
(D6633_23.1.1.E.0.1_HK_SuperSU_XZDR2.8.20 thanx to @alvinlim28)
But this time an even more irratating problem occurs. The phone mobile data is disabled no matter how I try. I tried to swap the simcards and it seems only the data roaming can be used.(my two simcards are local Ortel D and roaming ChinaMobile, as I now live in Germany).
Also tried restarting, limiting the simcard in GSM only mode but neither worked. Other functions are fine so far. I am now dowloading the pre-rooted RU ROM but it may take a while. Later I may test with that one.
plz help. thx
Maybe you're using a Rom from another country/carrier. think HK means hong kong in this case. You need to find a german one.

Problems solved after I did these procedures all over again and switched to the customized generic stock lolipop. It turned out that the stock HK ROM somehow couldn't properly retrieve the mobile data network settings.
Interesting.... Have you manually added the APN data for your mobile carrier?
I have had my original Xoom for a long while now - not sure exactly the version (601 rings a bell) but it was early in the very first release. ( it has 3g and wifi)
I've always had a sim card in it, however it was deactivated LONG ago, but still worked on wifi etc. My little fella uses it for simple games etc, but at some point the sim came out and we lost the little bracket thingy that it sits in - i believe that's needed right ? its been so long.
So today after numerous reboots, I simply could not get it factory reset, so I ended up following some great guides here to unlock then load the stock rom on there - I chose the Telstra AU version for 601 as it was the only version that sounded right for me.
That all went great and easy, however, without a sim, on startup im getting the "Tablet is not provisioned ... " error, and there is no way to unlock it.
So a number of questions - will stock rom simply not work at all without a sim ? I tried to 'fastboot oem unlock' and boot up like that to no avail.
If it won't work without a sim, is there a quick and dirty custom rom that is stupidly easy to install ? I like how easy it was to load the stock rom - if there is something like that great, otherwise the instructions i've seen for custom roms seem a little too much for my time.
Any pointers appreciated - i just need to get it back to usable for a 7 year old with games - it would be nice to install custom rom with latest android so that he can play some of the newer games, but not if its tricky and will take too much of my time - in that case i'm happy to just use stock if i can get it working without sim.
please can anyone at least advise whether this tablet with stock rom should work or not without a SIM ? (obviously 3G version AU)

The xoom 3G+wifi work perfectly with or without sim card.
OK
Hi,
I'm giving my old Moto G to my brother, so I need to remove root and install stock firmware, as the sim unlock code does not work on the custom firmware. I can easily install the stock 5.1 lollipop EU rom, but then when I try to install the stock firmware (I'm pretty sure it's O2, but I've tried both O2 firmware as well as the Retail GB) it gets stuck on the bootloader unlocked screen. It's still there after ~30 minutes, so I'm fairly certain that it's crashing.
Does anybody know what's going on, or potentially have any fixes? There are no errors when flashing the firmware, and I've triple checked that I've got the correct firmware version.
Thanks.
I got this e3 that i flashed 3 different stock roms, and i can't get sim card to work on any of them. With or without sim installed i get a failed check picture and i can't use sim, tho other things work just fine. I have tried a central european rom, a rom made for my counrty, but im not sure weather the sim card is from that operator the rom is made for.
I took the phone form a frined to try and fix it since it was stuck in boot loop, so i've handled that and i'm not sure how to fix this :crying:
The roms we apropriate for the model, d2203, used the both latest one and the one before.
Did you resolve this?
I found that if you run flashtool on pro mode it will allow flashing of simlock.
I don't know exactly what's that but I hope it (and google) helps you
My device restarts a lot a day with and without games, even when I don't carry it with me, it restarts on its own with an updated Android 13 version, device model xq-cq72, help .
check your SIM cards.....take them out and try without..... sometimes bad contact causes issues.
same problem with and without the SIM card.
Is the problem with the ROM? Can I change the ROM from the Chinese ROM to the global ROM? How do I know the version of the ROM for the device?
