Procedure
MODEL GM1910 Hydrogen OS to Oxygen OS
Attention! This method will delete the entire contents of the phone!
Migrating from Hydrogen OS to Oxygen OS version 9.5.4 Global through Local Update:
1.) Download the file for rollback 9.5.4 Global and copy it to the root of the internal memory
(i.e., not in a folder such as Downloads, for example).
https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/Fulldowngrade_wipe_18821_190425_0253_user_fix_revision_MP_release.zip
2.) Go to Settings> System> System Updates> Click the gear at the top right> Local Upgrade> Click on the appropriate installation package> Update
3.) After the update is completed, click Restart
4.) The phone will boot in recovery mode to format user data, after formatting it will reboot again.
5.) The update was successful.
6.) After that, you can download and install the latest version of Oxygen OS
GM21AA (Global) or GM21BA (EU) via Local Upgrade.
Note If you do not see the firmware file, then check the file extension should be .zip (if you have .zip.jar just rename it by deleting .jar)

[Local Upgrade]
Q- How to manually to update?
A- Local Upgrade method:
Save the ZIP package to the root of your OnePlus smartphone’s storage
(i.e., not in a folder such as Downloads, for example).
Open Settings and go to System > System updates.
Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner.
Tap on Local upgrade.
You should see the ZIP file you downloaded. If you don’t,
you need to move it to the root directory.
Do so and repeat these steps if that’s the case.
Tap the ZIP file and allow Oxygen OS to install it.
You’ll get a notification that you need to reboot once it’s done installing,
which you should do by hitting the button.
Your phone will reboot.
Once it’s done, you’ll be on the latest version of Oxygen OS.
To check your current version, head to Settings > About phone
and check your build number.
P.S
Luckily, it’s easy to update OnePlus smartphones with the latest version of Oxygen OS
without needing to wait for the company to push the notification to you.
It takes a little extra effort on your part, but if you’re the type of person who wants
the latest updates immediately, you should know how to do it.

[GUIDE] Huawei Firmware Upgrades Manually from 8.1 to 9.1

This was done on the Huawei P20 Pro L29C636 variant.
My phone does have it's bootloader unlocked and has been previously rooted.
As stated on just about every other thread, I do not take responsibility for anything that happens to your phone. The method described below is what I experienced with my phone, with the various modifications I had made in the past, and using software other people have developed.
You assume all risk to your equipment.
OTA updates stopped on EMUI 8.0 so I had to find a solution to get the latest EMUI and security patches. Below is the list of software and instructions that I followed to complete these incremental updates. If you own a different regional variant (i.e. L29C432), you can still follow the same instructions, but pay attention to your build numbers when trying to upgrade past 8.1. When jumping from 8.1 to 9.0 and 9.0 to 9.1 you MUST upgrade to the firmware approved for your particular phone variant prior to the new EMUI update. There is a chance you will soft brick your phone, but as long as fastboot still works, you can recover.
Step 1:
Download these two files.
HiSuite_9.0.2.304.zip
hisuite.zip
Install the HiSuite application, do not upgrade the application, and close the program.
Copy the httpcomponent.dll file to C:\Program Files (x86)\HiSuite
Copy the HiSuiteConfig.xml to C:\Users\*username here*\AppData\Local\HiSuite\UserData\UpdateDogDev
Step 2:
Open your system host file at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
Add these lines to the bottom of the file:
188.225.84.142 query.hicloud.com
Save the file... be sure it saves over the current file and not a new file with a file extension.
Step 3:
Open your Network Connections window in Control Panel here:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Right click on your active Network Connection and go to Properties.
In the dialog box, click on Internet Protocol Version 4 and click the Properties button below the box.
In the dialog box, change your DNS Preferred to 188.225.84.142 and DNS Alternate to 1.2.3.4.
Click the box for Validate Settings Upon Exit just to make sure you do not have any network errors.
Step 4:
Download and open Firmware Finder on your phone here Firmware Finder
Open the program, check the top button is the model variant of your phone, and click the top button.
The list of firmware shown in this program will work for your phone. To be safe, select the firmware you want to upgrade to, and click Check Firmware Access then Check Availability to confirm it is approved for installation.
After you select the firmware you want to upgrade to, click on eRecovery for all versions and click through each prompt until you reach the prompt to Register Update. Click Register Update and this will register your IP address with this specific firmware. I do not know how long this stays registered for, but it will not expire for the time it takes to download and install the firmware.
Step 5:
Connect your phone to your PC with the proper cable, open HiSuite on your PC, and allow the application to install HiSuite on your phone.
Once HiSuite registers that your phone is connected click the Update button near the bottom of the screen.
A dialog box will pop up and recognize the new firmware you registered with Firmware Finder. Double check that the model and regional variant match your phone just in case you goofed up the selection.
This process does take some time since the firmware files can be upwards of 5GB. Be patient and do not interrupt the process. After it downloads, it will push the files to your phone (HiSuite calls is Installation), and then your phone will restart. After your phone restarts, you will get an EMUI update screen indicating that it is indeed updating your system. Once complete, the phone will restart, and you will have an shiny new upgraded phone.
I have read plenty of responses in other threads describing installation failures, stalled installations, or other negative outcomes. Here are a few tips:
RE: Soft Brick - Remember to factory reset/wipe data in eRecovery. This will not wipe your phone, but it will help you get back to some sort of recovery state whether it's eRecovery, TWRP, or back to the system.
RE: Failed Installations - Remember to check the firmware availability in Firmware Finder on your phone and not on the PC. This will avoid accidentally trying to install firmware meant for another variant.
RE: Stalled Installations - I prefer modifying the DNS settings on the computer that is connected to the phone using HiSuite. This avoids DNS settings that don't stick in router settings or a PC bypassing them altogether.
If you do soft brick, you can always HiSuite to recover and rollback the firmware on your phone. I also do have another technique in case HiSuite cannot recover your phone. Just to be clear that this other technique was only tested on the L29C636 variant, but it most likely will work on other global models.

Custom ROM based on stock firmware Android 11 - RETAIL_RRT31.Q1-84-24-1-2
Custom ROM version for Moto Edge S based on Global Stock firmware with added parts of Moto Edge S stock firmware RRN31.Q2-12-14-7 .
This custom ROM uses stock kernel without modification. The source for the stock kernel is not released by the OEM. Preliminary requirements:
- Only unlocked bootloader.
What's done:
- Removed the restriction on writing to the system, which in Android 11 is in Read Only (r/o) mode by default, which eliminates the possibility of modifying it. In this firmware it is possible to mount the system in Read Write (r/w) mode. Encryption is preserved in this case.
- System passes SafetyNet test, device is certified (in Magisk settings activate "Magisk Hide" function, in "Magisk Hide" tab give permission for Google Play Services, perform Google Play reset);
- Cleaned and lightened the system;
- Built in additional system color accents;
- Built in and updated to the latest versions at the time of firmware and Apps release . YouTube removed, because I use YouTube Vanced;
- Installed apps AdAway ad blocker, Command Center 2, File Manager, Gallery;
- Ringtones, notifications, alarms sounds have been replaced;
- Mod Logo and Bootanimation.
Installation:
1. Extract the system partition images from the archive (see the Download tab) and copy them to any convenient location on your PC.
2. Reboot the device into bootloader mode and:
- If you are installing the ROM for the first time or if you want to install the firmware with all data from the previous firmware removed, then use the _flash_custom.bat executable file;
- If you want to install the ROM as an update to its previous build, then use the _update_custom.bat executable file. Then all your data and applications will be saved and the system will be updated.
3. Phone will reboot into fastbootd mode and flash installation will start automatically. When the installation is completed the phone will automatically boot into the system.
6. When the boot is complete perform the initial settings.
7. Launch Magisk Manager application and update it. You are asked to setup workspace. Agree. The phone will automatically reboot after the setup is completed.
Notes
There is a hang-up when entering the connection settings of the NFC and Bluetooth settings. Don't worry about this. You just need to wait a little while.
There is no hang-up when you enable/disable NFC and Bluetooth via the icon from the Notification bar. This happens due to uninstalling any system applications.

hi can it be installed having moto edge S 5g chinese version with chinese rom?
Thanks for your efforts ! I will try it as soon as i can
Please write on which model you installed the ROM - Edge s or G100?

G100 model , installed successfully .
I appreciate the post, had no issues with installing. I did have an unrelated issue tho, that other noobs like me might wanna know about. I had an issue were some streaming apps and games from the play store said they were unsupported, which I thought Magisk or the firmware CDM was causing it. The issue was that I never turned on location and by activating it solved the problem.
I made a custom ROM version for Moto Edge S. Based on Global Stock firmware with parts of Moto Edge S stock firmware added (patched boot.img and vendor).
I would be glad if someone would write about his experience installing this ROM on Moto Edge S!

Thank you for the guide.

Could you please advise?

Hi,
I successfully flashed the phone with the firmware LOS18.1-QJIN-F21PRO as the one attached failed during the flash process. My phone is the 3/32GB version.
I have two problems:
1) I tried to lock the bootloader (for security reason) but the phone never starter. (I imagine that cannot be possible)
2) The keypad light is always on, is there a way to turn it off while the screen is off? Which application/setting is controlling this function? I might be able to help
Overall the system is pretty stable, my next step is to install the MicroG. Any advice on this?
Thank you
f21s Pro is F21 Pro. it is the same thing.
TWRP brought in 4PDA (Thankful to @ Hagai that brought it in Mitamchim top - the Israeli forum). flash it as boot_a.

What is LOS18.1-QJIN-F21PRO? This LOS for 32GB from 4PDA? It is based on my ROM.
You can not lock bootloader After Flashing ROM
Light in the keys? It's a well-known bug (number 4)
I now work on repairs, for example better support in hardware keypad.

Update: I managed to flash and access TWRP, but not able to find the MicroG zip file saved in the phone.
Hi,
Yes, I took the LOS18.1-QJIN-F21PRO from the 4PDA forum (I don't speak Russian).
I will try to flash microG through TWRP (thank you for providing it)
How would I access the TWRP on the F21pro? Is it sufficient to boot the phone with volume down (#/camera button) pressed?
Many thanks
is volte working in this rom? thanks a lot.

Thanks again for your excellent work!
I noticed that the phone boots with the Orange State warning (bootloader unlocked). Apart from this, I didn't notice any other problem

To make a version with Gapps?
Thank you for this! Any plans to upload the source? Would like to build this myself.

Instead of Gapps, MicroG would be awesome and less invasive (and easy to implement).
Please keep Lineageos clean and in the worst-case scenario, the user will install MicroG or Gapps separately.
ok.
i fix the bluetooth headset problem...
in the next version, w.g.h.
Can anyone confirm volte is working on v2? Thanks a lot

Doogee N20 - Some phones are just hard to modify

After finally unlocking the bootloader, installed TWRP 3.6.0 and rotted with Magisk v23.0. Lets find a custom ROM that suits this phone - WRONG!
I have tried many types of ROM and so far it ends in soft brick. Need advise if you have any. My aim is to install a basic custom ROM , install pico or nano GAPP, and only install like 4 apps on it. phone, sms, navigation, music player etc.
I have tried the following ROM:
Phhusson-treble AOSP andriod version 9, 11 & 12.
GSI arm64 ab ROM
a so call stock ROM
I also tried installing the vendor.img as described here
I would like to use LineageOS but there doesn't seem to be one for this phone
I am now resorting to installing the stock firmware to make the phone work again, instruction here
If anyone has sucessfully rooted this phone using a basic ROM and GAPP please share how you did it and where your download was.
Why did phhuson fail ? That's the basic gsi, every other gsi are build on top of that. If that doesn't work, nothing will.

I install - system-arm64 –ab
I did some research that the Doogee n20 is a arm64 and a+b .... Unless I got the wrong information.
I suspect there maybe some stock firmware files that needs to be installed as well to make it work properly.
A post said it needs vendor.img, I might try sourcing another copy.
Follow up - I got it un-bricked with the stock firmware (android 9) (link in my original post) .... Back to square one .

Many thanks, didn't do that step.
Did it now, it shows it needs system-arm64-ab

follow advices from this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/doogee-n20-twrp.4136331/

Hey man, did you get it fixed?
Actually this device is A-only, but you should use Gsis A/B.
Most Phh based Gsi works almost perfectly for me.
You can try this:
- Download and install Twrp 3.6.1 here
- Download LineageOS 18.1 (lir) here Choose "arm64 bvZ" version
- Download stock rom here or Y9Plus variant here
- Extract the Gsi, and the vendor image from the stock rom
- I restarted in Twrp, go to wipe and select system, data, cache...
- Go install and flash the Gsi as system image, and vendor as vendor image
-reboot
