INSTALLATION
While rom is installing, your everything in device is deleting. Thus you must backup your important data.
In order to install this rom, OEM (BOOTLOADER) must be unlocked and device drivers must be installed.
You can install device drivers with this tool.
The Folder in RAR extract anywhere on your computer that you downloaded from the link.
enter BOOTLOADER MODE. (close your device and hold the volume down and power key. When come "GENERAL MOBILE" , release buttons. This screen is BOOTLOADER SCREEN.
After you connect your device to your computer, run "INSTALL_M3D91" Folder.
choose your device part of install Stock Rom.
After INSTALLATION finished, Your device will be restarted.
After your device open, you choose option SETTINGS >> BACKUP & RESET >> FACTORY DATA RESET.
After your device restart, you can use your device bugless.

why is system.img damaged. Its in sparse format when I am trying to convert to ext4 its failing due to its damaged

Hi, file system of gm 5 plus is squashfs, you can use simg2img for converting sparsed squashfs image to unsparsed squashfs image.

I have tried.
Its sparse
While converting. It converts to SquashFS.
Then Unpacking using the squash-tools doset work! So I have received a TWRP backup Anyways, Need to download that.
M3D62B(June update) version added.

I can't get the new update via OTA. What's the difference between this ROM and OTA version?

Hi, I just got this tablet and it's working great.
Thanks for your files, I've used some of them to work on the tablet.
Do you know how this fastboot.exe is modded to work with the p78hd ?
Because I couln't find any info on the proprietary bootloader Allwinner is using on the A31. And I'm kind of amazed it support fastboot, but would like to port it to linux.
Yesterday I managed to kind of port the a10hd twrp recovery, there is a lot more to do, and it would help to use fastboot to boot the recovery without using a Windows machine. (Actually, I haven't tried the modded fastboot.exe yet, but I reinstalled a Windows yesterday on a computer lying around in order to use PhoenixSuite)

Installation:
Download this and extract it
Put boot and system img files into extracted folder
Enable USB Debugging and run Installer.bat

Run the following commands (one by one):
fastboot flash boot boot.img

Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) is an open-source software custom recovery image for Android-based devices. It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface that allows users to install third-party firmware and backup the current system, which are often unsupported by stock recovery images. It is, therefore, often installed when rooting Android devices, although it isn't dependent on a device being rooted to be installed.
Procedure:
First make sure you have installed proper drivers on your PC, then follow the flashing procedure.
1. Download and extract SP Flash Tool.
2. Download twrp-recovery.zip.
3. Open and run "flash_tool.exe" as administrator from Sp Flash Tool folder.
4. Click on the scatter loading button and select the scatter file from the twrp-recovery folder.
5. Click on download button and connect your smartphone to PC via USB cable and wait for the flashing process it will take 20-30 seconds.
Note: Switch off your smartphone before connecting to your PC then connect and do not interrupt the flashing process.
6. Boot into recovery by pressing VOL UP + POWER button.
7. Flash Latest Magisk Module (Prefer this for root over SuperSU)
8. Wipe Dalvik Cache and reboot the system.
Now, you have successfully installed TWRP on your mobile.

Please follow given instructions. Look at step 6,7 and 8. You will have to flash Magisk or SuperSu and wipe Dalvik Cache before booting system.

Yes it is perfectly stable.
I don't think bootloader is locked, I don't remember, it's been a while since I used this device.
No custom roms are available as far I know.

Prep:
Install the Asus Unlocker on your phone and unlock it.
Install Magisk Manager on your phone but dont run it yet.
Enable USB Degugging on your phone.
Install ABD and Fastboot on your PC. It will be installed to c:/adb/
Download the update that matches your phone version to your pc. [Mine was version "WW-32.40.106.41"]
Open the update file on your pc with your favorite zip manager and extract the boot.img .
Put the boot.img onto your phones internal storage.

» Non-rooted devices
Magisk 14.0 introduces a new and neat method to install on non-rooted Android devices. This new process doesn’t require your device to be rooted, nor does it require a custom recovery like TWRP. But for this method to work, your device must have the stock boot.
But for this method to work, your device must have the stock boot.img dump placed in the internal storage.
Make sure that you enable USB debugging and setup ADB access first, you will need it later in the guide.
Download Magisk Manager 5.3.0: Link
When the APK has been downloaded, use a file manager to install it. Now run the app from the app drawer.
Go to the app settings and tap on “Patched Boot Output Format”. You can select “.img.tar” if you will be using ODIN to flash the file or else simply select “.img” for the rest of the devices.

Go back to the app main screen and tap on the “Install” button. Go to INSTALL > PATCH BOOT IMAGE FILE.
Navigate through the storage and select the stock boot.img file. As soon as you select the stock boot.img file, the app will download the installer to patch the image.
Once the process is complete, you can tap on the “CLOSE” button.
Your new and patched boot image now include root and support for modules. So the last step is to grab this boot file and flash it your device via fastboot or ODIN (Depending on the output format you chose in step #4).
Connect your device to the PC via USB cable and navigate to the Magisk Manager folder inside the storage. Your “patched_boot.img” file will be present right there. So copy it to your PC.
Move the “patched_boot.img” file to C:/adb folder. And type in the following command to boot your phone into bootloader/fastboot mode:
adb reboot bootloader
Once your phone enters the bootloader/fastboot mode, enter the command to flash the file:
fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img
Finally, reboot your device:
fastboot reboot
That’s all, you have just installed one of the most trending mod out there and especially on your non-rooted device without any need of a custom recovery. Isn’t it great? Tinker around with the app and see what all things you could do.

I know it's been some time since this was discussed, but I am trying to go through this process. Can you confirm that you unlocked the bootloader on 8.0 with the Asus tool? Or did you install magisk without unlocking the bootloader (if that's possible)?

~DOWNLOAD LATEST QUALCOMM DRIVERS Qualcomm drivers ( MAKE SURE YOU HAVE QUALCOMM COM PORT INSTALLED IN DEVICE MANAGER)
~DOWNLOAD ADB/FASTBOOT OR ANDROID SDK PLATFORM TOOLS ADB Drivers
~GO TO ZIP AND INSTALL ALL DRIVERS POP 4+ DRIVERS/PYTHON-2.7/ PC GO TO DEVICE MANAGER AND MANUALLY INSTALL ALL DRIVERS FOR YOUR SYSTEM THAN RUN THE "AUTORUN.INF" IN MAIN FOLDER IN THE POP4 DRIVER FOLDER
~INSTALL QUALCOMM PREMIUM TOOL
~ IF ACTIVATION FOR QPT IS NOT ACTIVATED USE THE KEYGEN TO GENERATE NEW ACTIVATION.. MAY NEED TO DISABLE ANTIVIRUS/FIREWALL
~START QPT
~IF YOUR DEVICE VERSION IS NOT POP4 5056E MAKE A BACKUP THIS IS REQUIRED !!
~PUT DEVICE INTO EDL/DOWNLOAD MODE - YOU CAN USE ADB OR BY HOLDING [PWR VOL+ AND VOL-]

~GO TO QPT/ UNDER "BLOCK0 READ" CLICK FOLDER FOR SAVE DESTINATION/ ALSO CREATE A FOLDER FOR SAVE FOR BACKUP AND CLICK " READ ( 9008 ) GO TO FIRMWARE SECTION AND MAKE A BACKUP BE PATIENT !! BACKUP WILL TAKE A WHILE MAYBE SOME HOURS DEPENDING ON YOUR PC H/W!! HAVE A MIN OF 40 GB OF SPACE AVAILABLE
~ONCE FINISHED WITH BACKUP CLICK ON EMMC TAB BROWSE TO WHERE BACKUP IS AND SELECT THE SYSTEM.BIN IT WILL NOW LOAD THE FIRMWARE
~IN THE BLANK BOX INPUT YOUR SAVE DESTINATION FOR FIRMWARE
~CLICK ON THE EXTRACT PARTITIONS/FIRMWARE ON SCREEN AND GET YOUR FIRMWARE
NOW YOU HAVE YOUR DEVICES STOCK FIRMWARE !!

~CLICK PARTITION TAB/ CLICK SCAN/ CLICK DO JOB AND PARTITIONS WILL NOW LOAD
IF YOU GET AN ERROR SCANNING REBOOT EDL/DOWNLOAD MODE AND RETRY
~CLICK ON "WRITE" CLICK ON BOOT PARTITION AND A SEARCH WILL POP UP, FIND YOUR SAVED PATCHED MAGISK AND FLASH
~ONCE FINISHED UNCHECK THE BOX CLICK RECOVERY AND FIND THE TWRP FILE IN TWRP FOLDER IN ZIP
~FLASH THE RECOVERY
