What's new in Latest Build (4_15D) Update - Nokia 7 Plus Guides, News, & Discussion

What's new in Latest Build (4_15D) Update with May, 2020 Security Update? I found the following:
1. Best flawless performance ever. Animation time has been adjusted very well, fells buttery smooth.
2. Call recording option in dialer app. It has a big problem though: Call recording stars with the automatic voice "the call is now being recorded" that can be heard by both the caller and receiver!
3. Display size in Default mode has become bigger than the previous update.
4. Screen on time has been drastically reduced!!! Only 3 and half hour.
5. One bug: Phone's loudspeaker is not working!
What about your update? Please share in this thread.

[Q] 2 way phone recording

Does Chacha support phone call recording?
Thanks
you question should be - what software should I use for call recording on Gingerbread phone
Anyone who was able to record calls with good quality on a Chacha?
I read some threads, but didn't find any answer there which is strange since even Symbian was able to record calls.
Will any custom ROM be any help there?
try Auto Call Recorder or some app like it on google play !

This does not really work. It just turns the microphone so sensitive that it will record the other side of the call (if you turn it loud enough). But the things you say will be recorded 10 times louder.
Even Symbian could record calls with a good quality on both sides, so why can't Android?
So there were no changes yet. I figured out that you will need a patch for that.
Anyone who has an idea what to do there bzw. how to port this to the Chacha?

Call quallity problem (speakers)

I have this problem from the day I bought Nexus 5.
When I talking with someone (call), I can hear him - not excellent, but acceptable. Then suddenly the voice volume goes down for second or two and I can hear just a little. And again ...
At first I think this is HW problem, because I wasn't sure if this issue comes when I move a phone.
But then I tried to play some music - it is louder then call voice and there isn't any changing volumes when I listen music (I tried also to hold a phone like when making a phone call).
So now I'm sure, this is SW problem. Speakers works good - but not clear and loud enough when I make a call.
Any idea?
Change (stock) kernel to Franco? Wait for Google update?

NoiseKill v0.7: kill the system noises from your TabPro speaker with this app

Work in complete silence and eliminate the ram/cpu noises that come out of the Tab Pro speakers with this intuitive app.
Hi all! A lot of people are annoyed by the noises that come out of the Tab Pro speakers. Me included, that's why I made an app for that.
!!! When active it mutes all system sounds, including notifications and incoming calls !!!
It's a service that forces audio to the headphones when you put the volume to zero. When the audio is forced to the headphone it is shutting down the speaker amplifier circuit and thus eliminates noises. If you want to have audio again, simply raise the volume with the hardware buttons.
Features:
No CPU/RAM noises! Low memory footprint, event based only. Wakelocks free, save your battery!
Known limitations:
- Mutes all system sounds (notifications, incoming calls etc.) if enabled.
- Only hardware volume buttons are monitored (for efficiency reasons).
- Tested only on stock android 4.4.2 on Tab Pro 8.4 and Nexus 7 2012 running Lolipop 5.1 (dirty unicorns 9.8)
- No enable/disable feature (service <-> app communication probably increases memory footprint a lot)
Installation:
Install app, run once or reboot to get the service started.
Uninstall
Remove the app "NoiseKill" to inactivate and remove the service.
Permissions:
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED to start the service at boot
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS well... It probably is to modify the audio settings right?!
To other developers:
I am still looking to allow the playback of notifications / incoming calls etc while still suppressing the speaker noises. But I didn't found a way to get this information event based (I could poll though but it would drain the battery very fast).
Please let me know what you think of it.
Awesome! Asked someone for this nearly a year ago but they said it wasn't possible. It seems to be working mostly, sometimes at random it doesn't though. I think when you are at any volume level and you press and hold your volume-down button until muted, the app won't recognize that you have muted until you press once more (when already muted). Only a minor nuisance though, since the noise coming from the speakers is infinitely worse. Thank you very much for this app!
Edit: By the way, running CM12.1 on a TabPro 8.4 here.

The app doesn't seem to be working for CM13. I believe the way the volume is controlled was changed in Marshmallow. Are you planning on updating the app?

Poor call quality while ok google detection is on

I am having issue with the call quality in my opo while the ok google detection is on! While incoming or outgoing call the person on the other side can't hear anything but a hazy noise tough I can hear everything crystal clear! So I have come to this conclusion that this is due to my mic and only happening when i am turning on OK GOOGLE detection on from any screen! When that is turned off everything is just fine! The same problem is happening in official cyanogenos 12.1 latest version and on the cyanogenmod 13 latest nightly! I think if somehow I can create a task that will turn off ok google detection while I am at call and will enable it after, then the problem will be solved! So any idea guys how may I solve this annoying issue?

No mic audio on call and other apps

I'm having a weird problem with the mic on my HTC U11. The past week sometimes when I received a call, other people couldn't listen to me, eventually it's happening on every call.
I also noticed that the voice recording app, and other 3rd party video apps are not recording sound, "Manual Camera DSLR" app does some kind of a loud "click" sound when the record starts and then stops the audio, but if I use the Hi-Res or 3D function on the native camera app the sound is recorded and also if I put the call on speaker the sound is back. I tried to clean the phone but didn't help and did a doing a call to another phone and everything I could hear was total silence like if it was muted, not distorted sound like if the mic was dirty or something blocking it, until I put the call on speaker the sound was "not muted"
Any idea on how could I attempt to fix it?
Thanks.
Hope this 6 easy ways help you fix the issue with HTC:
1. Restart your phone
2. Check if the phone cover covers the microphone
3. Check connected devices
4. Clean the microphone
5. Remove third-party apps
6. Software update

Restarted, didn't work.
No cover on phone, also sound doesn't sound covered, just 0 sound, not even white noise or interference.
Not connected
Seems clean
Didn't work
No updates
Have been doing more checks... native camera app is also failing, does the same "click" sound and then stops recording audio. Moments ago mic wasn't working on voice recorder, then I plugged the charger and mic started to work.
