Need help getting past FRP protection on an improperly factory reset phone. - General Questions and Answers

Hello, a few days ago my aunt called me, because she was unable to get her phone to work. Turns out she managed to get into the recovery menu while attempting to turn the phone on and hit factory reset from there. I do have access to her login details for the account that was used with the phone, and the phone in question does appear to be linked to this account. I have waited 72 hours since she reset the phone, but haven't been able to log into it. I also do not see the option to remove the phone in the security tab in her Google account. How screwed is the phone?
The phone is a Gigaset GS370, and finding a legit stock firmware for it is unlikely, although if anyone has any ideas, it's appreciated.

FRP can likely be bypassed.
But you really need to see a video of it being done to understand.
Search YouTube for frp, your device and Android version.

Factory reset now stuck on "Verify your account"

hello,
Last night I had to put my phone in ultra power saving mode and this morning it won't go back to normal mode. I did a factory reset using the home, vol up and home. I'm now stuck at the Verify your account. I added my Gmail( same account that was on the phone). I get a message saying "please sign in using one of the owner's accounts for this device." I then reset the password with a new one and still giving me that message that it's wrong email account. I'm able to login on the desktop no problem. The phone is unable to accept my email/pass. I called Sprint they are unable to help me. Any idea?
Please help!
Thanks
If you had reactivation lock turned on, that might be the problem. You'll need to search for the fix, I've seen it before but I never saved the thread.

I called Google. They told me to wait 72 HRs. Sprint/Samsung was not very helpful. It's crazy because I'm able to login in my Gmail desktop.

[Completed] FRP lock on Blu Pure XL need help!

I got a Blu Pure XL on ebay, and a seller not helping.... It was a password on it so he gave me 2 different, non did work. Now i even more screwed , because after was factory reset iam getting a :
"this device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device" message.
I tried to follow the advice on youtube, when they turn on/off a hotspot and they skip the message and go to the "Google Services"
There is a problem, the solution is to hold and able to highlight any words there and use the "share" option. So this BLU doesn't do anything. I am holding down, and a phone vibrates for a sec, but no copy/share or any highlighted thing going on. So what can I do?
It came with a box, so it is a clean phone, not stolen, but this crap is really frustrated ...
Got a help with a seller , and tried with his account. Well after i put his email and password is taken me back again to the page where is asking for email.. He bought it as new from Amazon, so no other google account was used with... What is next?
Update... I was able to open a settings and did a factory reset from there . Only took few hours of try lol
Thread closed, issue solved

LG G Stylo Metro PCS FRP Bypass Android 5.1.1 Question

ok, here is something I haven't ran across...I was given a phone to use from a friend because my soon to be exwife decided to be a .....well that doesn't matter, what matters is I tried every procedure to bypass Google FRP that I have run across...I guess I managed to partially get around it enough to use dialer, manage phone settings, and actually use the browser...I can sign in to google, thru browser, but not anywhere thru the phone, it keeps sending me back to the screen saying the phone had been reset, and to enter the email associated with the phone...what am I forgetting to change, or is there something I can do to actually get my home screen up and then sign into google from this device?
thanks for any help you can offer

I restored my phone using Mobile Upgrade Q, but now I'm locked out

After doing a full reset on my phone using Mobile Upgrade Q (which successfully removed CM and TWRP from my phone) I get an error message when trying to set up Android saying "sign in with a google account that was previously synced on this device." I've only ever used one google account with this device, so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Its factory reset protection, you have to log in with the google account associated with the phone prior to reset.... To avoid this in future or if you sell phone just remove your Google account in settings... accounts before factory reset... It's the equivalent of iCloud locking on Apple, designed to cut down on theft.... If you cant remember the password you can go to the Google account recovery page for assistance
https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery
I don't understand. I WAS logged into the account prior to the reset, on CM. It's the only account I've ever used on this phone, and I haven't changed the password.
How do I unlock it? Is it even possible, or does it think I stole the phone?
Is it possible to reinstall TWRP and CM now? Just to have a useable phone?

If you reset it any other way than from settings reset phone (i.e. Recovery mode or something like mobile upgrade Q) without first removing your Google acct your locked out for 24 hours(used to be 72 hours).

But if it locked me out with the correct information, how can I be sure it will let me in after 24 hours?

Here is a writeup on how and why frp works like it does....
http://www.pcnexus.net/2015/12/what...gle-72-hour-lockout-android-lollipop.html?m=1
There are some hacks around it, but I have never tried them, best method to avoid frp headaches is to simply remove your Google acct prior to any reset
Is there anything special I have to do to login in 24 hours? Is it 24 hours from the first time I reset or the last time I reset (I wiped it a few times trying to get in)?

Thank you for the link. Just to be clear, in case future people ever find this thread: during the 24 hour lock out, you cannot unlock the phone, EVEN WITH THE CORRECT ACCOUNT NAME AND PASSWORD. Oddly enough, the device can still receive phone calls, and displays the caller's contact name. So it's definitely logged into my account, it's just locked out of doing anything except receiving calls. Also, I can hear that the phone is receiving text messages, though I have no way to read or reply to them.
Once I unlock it, I will update this thread with how and what it looks like, again, just in case someone finds this thread in the future, because this information is hard to find.

Before running mobile upgrade Q just remove your Google account in settings, I believe that will allow you to safely reset without triggering FRP...
Nice!!!

This happened to me yesterday so I hope it works for me as well.
You know what, I just happened to be looking for the official Alcatel factory flash tool and came across this post because after a few factory resets I was able to get the phone to boot up......BUT, as described above, the phone will only accept the PREVIOUS password which I forgot.... I simply requested a new password be created and it doesn't unlock the phone.
So now I too must wait 24, wow.
This is BS.. I mean, yeah I factory reset the phone because after my son accepted a system update, his phone kept bootlooping and his battery doesn't want to accept a charge now (so it seems per the display).....but what if I want to sell my phone? We have to remove the gmail account prior??????? Wow way to go Alcatel. And if this is actually an Android feature, it sucks.
Now, can anyone direct me to the actual official Alcatel upgrade tool????? I want to just flash this stock unrooted phone to out of box condition so we can trade his phone in. The Alcatel website no longer offers it from what I can see. Thanks!

It's an android security feature introduced in 5.1 LP, it only triggers the wait if you reset any way other than from settings. It's similiar to an iCloud lock, so yes if you sell phone remove google account, or if your buying a used phone make sure the google account is removed prior to reset, or boot up phone and make sure you can get passed the lockout before buying it!!

Unlock/Flash Stock S7 with FRP Lock/OEM lock

Hi guys,
I received the smartphone from my father and he unfortunately locked out himself (forgot pass)
I tried to do a factory reset and it failed as it requires login from the old google account which he set up years ago and does not remember anymore.
I tried to connect to ODIN but quickly realized that USB debug and this special anti Unlock Setup (OEM unlock) in settings was not activated.
Is there any chance at all to reset this phone?
When I stick the phone to any PC device it says could not detect usb device properly. Its because the phone is "locked" I guess.
However going to download mode did not solve the problem either. ODIN just cant get any signal.
I tried on multiple win10 devices, installed KIES, did it only with samsung drivers but the phone does not get properly recognized as it should.
Help :/
S7 is 1.5 years old, he obviously knew the Google account login when he got the phone, which at max would be 1.5 years ago, recovery emails are used to create Google accounts, reset the Google account password from the web and sort it that way

That was a simple google account which he made and my father is having memory issues since he is over 60.
Its odd that you seem to know more about my issue right now with the phone. Induction is dangerous.
I even do not know at which MONTH or year I created my google account. I can just roughly guess more than 4 years old for sure but thats a stupid question Google is asking either.
So even with doing an induction here, we would fail ourselves.
PS: You wanna see the receipt? I smell great doubt in you!
similar problem

Flash stock firmware with ODIN 3.12.7, log into your Google account to remove FRP lock
