PDEM30 is China version(dual sims) and CPH2025 is global version(single sim)
correct?
how can i change from PDEM30 to CPH2025 to support local using in my country?
PDEM is China yes and CPH2025 is international version, but they do come with dual sims as well. I ordered mine from Thailand and I have dual sim with CPH2025 model number.

For the life of me I cannot find any sites that have dual sim as CPH2025. They are all PDEM30
Would you mind telling me where did you get it from please?
I ordered my from the Official Oppo store on JD.com. But they only ship to Thailand, had a friend there and they shipped it to me.

No, you don't. The international version of the phone physically has a dual SIM-card tray (same as the Chinese one) but only supports single SIM. ¨
That applies for every phone with Snapdragon 865 - either 5G functionality or dual-SIM.
You can't enable dual-SIM functionality on the international model.
No I don't what? I have dual sim so I don't understand what you're saying?

You might just be new to this Find X2 Pro forum, so let me know you about the situation:
It's established here that the Chinese (PDEM) version supports dual-SIM while the Global one (CPH) only supports single-SIM.
People tried so hard to modify the Global ROM so it would support dual-SIM (as it has the very same hardware as the Chinese one, even the same dual SIM card tray) but without success at all.
So the bottom line is (so far has been) that there is no way to make dual-SIM work on the Global (CPH) version of the phone.
So now if you're saying that you own a CPH version of the phone and dual-SIM works for you, it's revolutionary and we would really like to see the proof.
I'll copy here what I wrote in another thread to a user who reportedly found a Global dual-SIM version of the phone:
Ok, that sounds strange (or interesting, depending on the point of view). Currently, as the international CPH version of Find X2 Pro doesn't support dual-SIM, there are two possibilities:
- they're still sharing misleading information (deliberately or not) and the phone will be single-SIM
- the phone will come with a brand new version of Global ROM firmware which somehow enables dual-SIM (and which hasn't been released yet), which would give hope to other users of international CPH version.
Hardware-wise the version you're ordering is 99% the same as the ones already released in countries like Netherlands, Germany.

How can you be so sensitive? Why do you think I attacked you in any way? Seriously lol.
It's internet, words can have various tones and I was as polite as in every single other thread.
I'm a part of this Oppo forum since early March and I wanted to show you what multiple (rather dozens) users concluded here with their efforts.
If you fail to understand that, I apologize, I can't be any more gentle.

Agreed. The sarcasm on your side wasn't really necessary but I'm sure we can leave it behind.
Would you mind sharing your OS version (exact build)? So we may have a chance to find out whether you have a newer firmware. You wouldn't believe how many users here (and for how long) are eager to hear about a dual-SIM global Find X2 Pro. You're actually the very first one.

There IS a physical dual-SIM card tray. That is the most incomprehensible thing - why did Oppo bother with blocking dual-SIM for the rest of world.
Maybe it's got something to do with 5G? In good sources I read that you can't use both 5G and dual-SIM at the same time (you have to "decrease" to connection to 4G on both SIMs) - limitation of X55 modem on the Snapdragon 865.

Now, you @Stunna903 i'm interested in your phone, but i have some questions for you :
1. Where did you buy your phone? (online, physical shop?) -> ok just saw you got it on jd.com
2. Have you tried to change the Launcher on your phone (like installing Nova, etc.) and does it work. If you ADB unistall the launcher on the chinese version you lose the gesture controls at the bottom of your screen.
3. what language choices do you have ?
you are running A.18 which is the UK ROM... so please, i'm very interested in your phone, where you bought it, if Volte and wificalling are working...
As this is amazing for me. We had both phones in our hands Chinese and Global version, we tried EVERYTHING to port the Global to the Chinese, enable dual sim on the Global.
This could mean, depending where you bought it, that there is a specific market where they sell the X2Pro with global dual SIM... and that, might interest me A LOT.

I am debating if I should sell my Huawai Mate 8 NXT-L10. It is Mocha and full spec. I installed the International ROM, but considering getting the NXT-29 so I don't have to worry about OTA and such.
I don't speak/read Chinese and notice that the Chinese ROM still has messages that show up in Chinese despite English language setting. On the international ROM, I don't come across Chinese at all.
Trying to decide if I should sell my chinese one and just get the international one. I am in San Francisco, and bought directly in China with receipt, so don't think hard to sell. But getting international version seems difficult.
Thoughts? Are there any other differences between AL10 and L29?
nope, just software and 1 different supported LTE band, thats about it: http://www.anandtech.com/show/9878/the-huawei-mate-8-review
if its too much hassle to manually install the software and if u absolutely HAVE to have the latest OTA at the time point of release then yeah, go for the L29
Keep Chinese ROM
I'd personally keep the Chinese firmware for a while. The only thing I'm waiting for is rooting my beast to be able to remove some of the built in Chinese crapware I don't understand.
If I'm to wish for something, I'd want a Mate 8 with Nexus Android with nothing at all but the OS and Google apps. Unfortunately, all the Nexus phones I am aware of have no SD card support which for me is fundamental even with my Mate 8 (128 GB internal memory)

Ok, that is what I thought, but a question comes to my mind which is: Even if we could flash the overseas ROM on the Chinese device, will this work fine or would there be some features that won't work or HW failures or malfunctions? Personally, I'm OK with the Chinese version and happy to receive OTA updates, all I want is a root access to remove the unwanted applications.
By the way, I updated my NXT-AL10C00B137 to NXT-AL10C00B156 and I haven't noticed any bug or issues. I am not rooted and have the stock firmware. I live in Italy and I updated over WiFi.
once u root u lose capability of receiving OTA updates.
ive been on an international rom B133 from day one without any issues and im on the chinese model AL10 theyre so similar, almost identical in their hardware, that crossflashing roms doesnt seem to be a problem.

Dual SIM standby: you can have 2 SIM cards but only use one at a time.
Dual SIM active: you can have 2 SIM cards and use them simultaneous f.ex. make a call on one card and surfe the net on the other or surfe the net on one card and receive a call on the other card.
There are 3 versions of Mate 8.
2 universel : one with dual SIM standby and one with single SIM: m.huawei com
1 chinese with dual SIM full active: etotalk com
I would say that NXT-AL10 is the best one - also most expencive.

Take a look at GSMARENA, they can tell you otherwise.
knudknud3
I don't have to check it on GSMARENA because i have got this phone and I know, how it works. Do you have this phone or just distribute false information? I have got L29 C432 and everyday I use Dual Sim active functionality.
You'd better go to shop and check it personally.
On internet portals like gsmarena there is lots of errors in specs. Those webs are not reliable sources of any specs informations.

Of course I believe you. But that thread is saying nothing. Copycat is only confirming. Grofock is talking about AL10 (to me the real DSA/DSDA phone). Tsiglas is not explaining understandable (to me).
I hope you can explain to me in simple words, how you can do two different things AT THE SAME TIME on your phone. Please.
I've asked you to read this thread till the end... copysat AND tsiglas confirm, that L29 is Dual Sim Full Active. I confirm it too AS L29 OWNER. We know what we say, because we have got this phone.
It seems, that you have never had this phone, but you insist that L29 is not Dual Sim Active, because you have read about it on the website.
3 persons having this phone confirm, it is DS active, but you still says it means nothing....So i'm sorry, but I think there is no method to explain you anything, because it is impossible, that you can understand something more.
To the author of topic: don't listen to knudknud3. L29 and AL 10 have the same Dual Sim Active functionality. I confirm that as an European L29 owner.

3 questions
1. Is your Vivo Nex the 8gb ram version or the 6gb ram version? I heard that one of the two models do not work well with Verizon, so i want to know the model you use on Verizon if what i heard is true.
2. Did you buy the Chinese version or the India version of the Vivo Nex?
3. Where is a good place to buy a Vivo Nex? Is it possible to have the website where you got your Vivo Nex if you got yours online?
Ran into this info unrelated to your VOLTE problem but it deserves a read. Looks like IMS, which can be added in the APN settings, has to do with VOIP.
The settings location is APN TYPE located in your APN file @settings\Mobile Network\Access Point Name.

Do you own a single-SIM or dual-SIM variant?
For some inexplicable reason Oppo sells two versions of this phone - dual-SIM in China and single-SIM in the rest of the world.
If you own a single-SIM version, you're pretty much guaranteed to have a global ROM on your device.
It came from China and has Chinese apps, so I'm guessing dual sim

May I ask you, who did you buy it from?
Here in the Czech Republic there's a reseller who claims he buys all the phones in the UK and he offers a dual-sim (Chinese variant) of Find X2 Pro.
When I e-mailed him, he told me that the manufacturer would flash a global ROM before the dispatch and, therefore, from him I would receive a dual-SIM (Chinese) version of the phone with Global ROM.
So I'm a bit confused.
It's not out in the UK until the end of May, hence me getting a Chinese one, I used Ali Express
I suspect the global Rom will drop/Leake once the UK varient is out, I emailed Oppo who told me they are not doing a golobal ROM but clearly that's not true when you look at Youtubers etc

Hello, it's pretty simple in this case.
512 GB version is available internationally, is single-SIM, has fully working VoLTE and VoWi-Fi, has firmware named PCH and its global ROM is vastly superior to the Chinese one (less bloatware, very little restrictions about customization).
256 GB version is available only in China, is dual-SIM, has neither VoLTE nor VoWi-Fi, has firmware named PDEM and its Chinese ROM has some bloatware and more importantly unpleasant and incovenient restrictions for the user.
Hope that helps
More advanced answer:
Currently there's a battle on two fronts:
users try to flash the much more user-friendly Global ROM on the Chinese device but without success so far; it seems that an unlocked booloader might be required which is still a long way to go
users try to make the Global model work as dual-SIM as it actually physically has a double SIM-card tray so there is a tiny possibility that it's a very weird software limitation (breakable in the future) but I would't have high hopes
Thank you, I want / need dual sim, (work etc) so will probably have to give this a "miss" unless.......

No problem, glad I could.. "help".
No one has a clue why Oppo made this limitation, both phones (CPH and PDEM) are identical (hardware-wise), both have dual SIM-card tray but only the Chinese software is capable with working with two SIMs.
The phone is so great I might let go of dual-SIM requirement but I understand it's the decisive factor for many. Oppo has surely cut their profits by doing this and I've never seen anything like this before (phone hardware supporting it but an artificial software change blocking it).
I agree totally, it's ludicrous that this should be the case?
If only they gave users the choice? After all it's £1099 phone, it should be!?
Apparently Clove, (UK) has the dual sim version. Ceramic black only though, at the moment.

It's either a typo (misleading information), or they're offering the Chinese model with Chinese software and 256 GB storage (the latter option is very unlikely).
Remember, technically the phone is always dual-SIM. That might be the source of their information.
I have emailed them for clarification, awaiting reply!
Got the reply!

Yes this is very odd...not sure what game they are playing. Why would the UK get dual SIM, or some specific market. This is driving me nuts.
Maybe I'll contact oppo directly.

I might add, that until this question is clarified? I will not be ordering,
Single SIM?
Dual SIM??
it's just all over the place at the moment??
I thought i posted this here also :
Ok after some research, and reading another post in the forum, i can mostly confirm that there ARE 2025 GLOBAL models with dual sim around. Apparently the Clove is getting the dual sim.
Clove find x2 pro
and i confirm this is correct by going to the UK site of oppo...
Oppo official site
This means that's even crazier than i thought... some markets, even in the EU get the dual sim and others dont....
but just to make you laugh check this out :
Oppo says ALL their phone are dual SIM

I stand corrected!!! Oppo is really not clear on this.
As this is very WRONG
on the top of their site : it says "dual 5G" which can make one believe that it's dual SIM. But when you scroll down to "network" it clearly says "Single sim".
Uk Oppo site
So why do they mention dual 5G ?(maybe the two 5G (mmWave and the other one).
I sent an email to Oppo asking for some clarfication.
I checked all around the world which markets have dual sim (outside of China) and apparently none have it.
So i'm waiting on feedback from another member who has a 2025 but dual SIM... this is all very confusing.
just to add some more confusion (salt into wounds, so to speak) into this... Amazon UK also claims "dual-sim" in their pre-order for June 10th release. Also Orange version, 12GB 512GB.... sold and dispatched by Amazon... :crying: :fingers-crossed:
I loved this phone in PDEM version but the lockdown of the software made me switch to Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (plus I can use custom roms). Dual SIM especially since this is band capable for TMobile and Verizon in the states. I love dual sim... if dual sim is confirmed, i'm switching back in a heartbeat... just given the facts though, I think it is sellers typo in their information. Oppo clear states on UK site, CPH2025 model, Single SIM.

I sent an email to Clove UK and Amazon to clarify their listings for these phones... I'll wait to see reply..
Hello,
i would just like to know if OnePlus 8 (China version) is good enough to support 4G LTE in EU, does it have all the bands required? I've read about "band 28" which it lacks and that this will be used for 5G? I don't care for 5G (yet), so my question is, will it work for everything else, is it good enough, i'm from Slovenia if that helps, i've been checking the bands, but i'm too confused to know what to think about this, those are too confusing for me, i've been checking them, but i'm just not sure, i think it should be fine, but i'm not 100% sure, so if anyone who knows this stuff can tell me, or even better, someone who has that OnePlus 8 phone can tell me, that would be great (=
Greetings
I have just ordered a CN version for use in the UK and from what i have read it lacks 1 frequency (band 32 i think) which from what i'm aware o2 in UK doesn't use .... Is this correct anyone? (Sorry if this a thread hijack)

Hi, just to be sure we're on the same page, I read that IN2010 is the international version (5 4gLTE bands support) and IN2020 is the Chinese one, which is missing one band used here in Europe.
Are you sure IN2010 is Chinese ?

Oh thx, I didn't see that one coming , so I have 2 questions : where to search for those infos (regional variants numbers I mean) and is this a software matter or a hardware matter ? (Will there be missing/China specials bands in it or it's just software)
Edit:
Are there any global version of the OnePlus 8, if so what would be its regional variant name ?

I just use google to find out a variant. The main differences are hardware related, specifically the bands of the device. There is also a chinese version of Oxygen OS which is called Hydrogen OS , but this can change easily by flashing global unlocked OxygenOS without any compromises.
Here you can learn more about the bands in each version : https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/g1rm7e/oneplus_8_pro_versions_and_4glte_and_5g_nr/
Edit: I think there is not a global version bandwise. (US, Europe, India and China as far as i know )

Hi,
Thanks for all this clarification, indeed I've been kinda fooled by marketing speech...
I've bought the OnePlus 8 not on the OnePlus website but on another one, and the announce said "OnePlus International Version IN2010", I was like "cool, plus it's cheap, let's get this".
Now I understand the business behind the whole website (a French one): they buy in China, flash the global rom manually and sells it cheaper, but make a little margin on the final price. That's why they call it international, just because of the ROM!
I knew (but still wanted confirmation) about missing bands a HydrogenOS and now I fully understand the market scheme. So I'll be missing B28 band (used in France with my career for 4G LTE)and an EU-compatible charger. No big deal but I'm kinda disappointed in myself, not being able to see through marketing speech and candidly trusting attractive prices... Well, we learn as we make mistakes (and I'm not ready to forgot that one).
One last think, kil-movil had a section for the OnePlus 8 called "Global" with every bands marked as available, and the model number was still IN2010. I guess they're part of the deal, since when I clicked on "see offers" I was redirected to the website I bought it in.
Even the seller was lying as he said "compatible with every bands in France". And when people ask, he was denying it every single time
Thanks for your explanations tho, I'll be able to warn the next ones at least.

Yup don't worry, I can return it and having all my money back but I don't think I will, my Nextbit Robin (daily driver) is dying and not having B28 4G out of 4 other antennas available isn't a big deal. I have only 50 Mo of data so I don't use 4G often. I would have been bothered by the charger but the seller claims (if it's not a lie) that he gives us an adapter. (Comments says he does, so hopefully he'll do)
Right now the only thing I have to do is getting past the disillusionment with some good music. Have you any title to recommend?

IN2013= EU version, not global, there is no global version.
But thx for the website, it's nice to have that tool
Is it possible to activate the VoLTE service (Vodafone ITA) with IN2010?
Hello, I have just ordered the oneplus 8 through Fnac and I think it is the version IN2010, seem like I cant find any EU version from fnac ( sorry im new in France )
My question is do you know any others site selling op8 EU version if not, does the IN2010 work fine in france?
