Pocophone acct locked need help - General Questions and Answers

I need help, in order to reactivate the pocophone mi acct again it needs the old number but totally forgot it since using a new number now. How do you activate your pocophone again to get the newly fresh setup if you don’t have access to the old number anymore? The phone suddenly turned off like there is a virus then when it opened again it is asking for the old number mi acc to be reaactivated again. Do you know a solution for this? There is no email registered, only the number

Call customer support for the service provider that you used the old number with, they should be able to give you your old number and get this issue straightened out.

[Q] Lost my Nexus S

I'm kinda in a daze from losing my Nexus S last night. The hangover is probably contributing to said daze. I don't have one of those security apps installed. I must have forgotten to restore it when I flashed a new ROM. My inner child is on my inner floor bawling his eyes out at the moment.
Anyway, my question is, what can I do to ensure minimal loss of my privacy. I have already changed all my passwords. Does this automatically unsync my account on the phone? I mean, will the phone ask whoever has it to re-enter the new password? What else am I forgetting? What else can I do?
Would appreciate it if "You should have"s are avoided. Thanks!
I know for sure that if you have changed your Google/Gmail Password, that the phone will prompt for a new one. As far as 'unsyncing' I do not know. I didn't check to see if my contacts/emails/calendar etc were removed when I changed the password and the phone prompted for a new one.
I will change my password again, see what happens and let you know.
*****EDIT*****
I changed my password for my phone, I got a notification about a sign in error, that prompted for a password. The dialing functions still worked as normal, any emails that you had cached were also visibile as well as the calendar. I rebooted without updating the password and could still call out as normal, but when I tried to access the Gmail app, it tried to sync the inbox, but prompted for a password right away.
I don't have any apps installed with other sensitive information, but I would imagine those would function as normal.
Hope this helps.
You could try lookout mobile security "plan b" will help find it.

Hmm sorry to hear that dude, i would probably be bawling on the floor too!
Although... i probably will install one of those security apps now...
Thanks for your help, guys.
Even if you don't change password but someone change sim card, android will require reenter password for sync

I don't know if Plan B would work seeing as how his Google Account is tied to the market account. Because he changed his password and the phone lost connection with the Google account, I don't believe remote installs will work, but I could be wrong.

Yes, I was wondering the same thing. I picked up a new Nexus S(not SAMOLED unfortunately) and synced it up and everything. Finally got to a PC and looked up my Market Account. It listed both phones under devices and I could go all the way to installing it on both phones. It located my current phone.
Unfortunately, I blocked my SIM card prematurely(did not know about Plan B), so, I can't send out the locate SMS. But, I figure whoever has it has probably removed the SIM card, or does not know how to charge it if the battery is dead or is using a SIM on it without a data connection. So, no data connection means no app on the phone. I haven't received an email from Plan B for the lost phone.
Why is the phone is still linked to my market account? I can see that the carrier has been changed which means a new SIM.
For now I'm just satisfying myself by installing inane and useless apps on the phone. HAHA! I hope it works and the app installation is going through. I've pretty much lost hope of finding it.

[Q & A] Activate this device, wrong ID

I've got this problem and i'm not able to use my Mi4c since 2 days: i changed rom and when i've to add mi account it says that:
This device may be associated with existing Mi Account (124***603). Sign in to activate this device.
The problem is that that account is not mine, the id is different. Btw the password of the account is the same as mine but there's another problem, when i press activate it goes to a very bugged page called Verify your identity.
I tried everything from there: i cannot use my device right now, i can't access to that account from web because i don't know the mail or the number associated to it. I chatted with support but they didn't nothing cause they can't access to account infos.
What can I do? Thanks in advance

Don't hard reset your vivo

This is a warning for all who maybe thinking about hard resetting their phone.
Strangest thing happened to my vivo.
I hard reset my vivo and now I can't login to my Google account. Due to that I can't use the phone, it doesn't even load Google login screen for me to enter my credentials. It's essentially screwed.
Vivo can't help and have asked me to go to the nearest support centre, which is in Asia somewhere and I'm in the UK. I did tell them not possible so they apologised and said unable to help even though phone is aimed at international market.
I'd hold of buying vivo products in the future for now until they have support for Europe customers.
In recovery there is an option to download and flash the latest firmware
you can just go to setting and find account setting to add google account
then go to apkmirror to find play store apk, download it and install, done
It is advised to log out any google accounts and other proprietary apps that have security activations, like Mi Account in xiaomi devices, before you hard reset any phone.
On my xiaomi device when i reset 2 options apear, one is access wifi settings so i can enter my wifi, second is log in on my Mi Account after the first option, so i can unlock my device.
hope it helps.

That's the mistake I made, reset without logging out of my Google account.
Stuck on this screen
I assume this issue happen only on global version of Chinese phones that has Google play services and Play store pre installed out of box.
Because I've never had that kind of issue with Chinese version of Chinese phones.
BTW I'm waiting end of the week or earlier next week receive my Chinese version of Dual Display.

It's the dual display version not the regular Vivo Nex.
Perhaps he should change the title so not people get confused.

Yesterday I've hard reset my dual display Chinese version for the first time after purchasing 1.5 month ego and after installing manual play store/play services via Vivo store app everything worked as normal.
No any kind issue.
So problem you had its only occur on global version of the device.
So with Chinese version people won't have to worry of dealing with frustrated situation as you lived with global version with Google account login.

I have the chinese version and after reading this I made sure to sign out of my Google account and vivo account just to be safe before reset, thanks! The only problem I had after reset was that i could nt sign into my vivo account, I know my password as i use it all the time and it was working before the reset (whenever i made changes to some app vivo asks for password). I had to contact vivo through messenger and they reactivated my account ( for some reason it got suspended)

The phone number is already associated with another account - Solved

I have been struggling with Xiaomi to get this error corrected in my Mi account, "The phone number is already associated with another account". I have tried to register the phone so that I can get it unlocked and eventually on a better rom. Without a phone number in the account the Mi Flash unlock utility won't work. At least I think this is the problem. I have no problems making or receiving calls, but unlocking seems tied to the phone number on my Mi account. Is this correct?
When I run Mi Flash the Unlock button remains grey and unresponsive.
This issue is that when I go to my Mi Account (setup for the new phone) and then to security to add my phone number I get this error " The phone number is already associated with another account ". I have found through trying to add the number that I have a second account with Xiaomi with my phone number registered to it. Unfortunately, this second account only shows me the first two and last three numbers of the Mi account. I can't delete this account or change my phone number and am stuck at square 1.
I have been through Xiaomi support with emails every day for a week and I guesss I can't explain this well enough for them to fix it. They keep recycling the same instructions that don't work because of the second account issue. Very frustrating, because their response comes overnight and mine through the day, so only one response a day.
Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it. I'd appreciate help with this.
RESOLVED
OK, I finally resolved this via Xaomi support. I went to the Mi Account login page and clicked on "Forgot Password". Then I entered the phone number and then entered the veriication code sent via text. I got into the old account, got my account number - noted that my phone number was associated with the old account and then logged out. I then signed into this web address to delete this duplicate account - https://account.xiaomi.com/pass/del. I entered my login information and then deleted the account.
You have to be logged out of your Mi Account on the phone, or you will get an error.
After this I went in and successfully added my phone number to my Mi Account.
So simple, but it takes the right steps and you need the link to delete the account. You can't do it from your Mi account.

OK, got it. Thanks.

Scary s*it. Someone give me an answer!

So I was sitting down tryping up a resume when all of a sudden my phone lit up. The service has been inactive for 3 days due to in sufficient funds (Don't Judge Me its Coronavirus season). So I picked up my phone unlocked the lock screen and noticed that it routed me to Google. It said my accounts have been updated and my phone number has been verified. I have 5 active google accounts on this phone. Each account had a number I have never seen before all the same number. My phone has an entire month of fresh prepaid service and my data has been reset I recieve 10g a month at high speed. The phone services work just fine. My old number has been removed and the new number is working just fine. Any answers as to what the he'll is going on?
