Hy, i cant use the stock camera app 9.1.0.355 to view the photos i ve taken... i get an error message that points to the "working profile = Arbeitsprofil in german" (gallery is missing there) but i ve searched and found nothing that helped me...

It worked a little in the beginning but wouldn't update when new albums were added. Now it jsut says "no albums for this user" or something. I hit refresh and nothing and reboot doesn't help.
Anybody else have this issue? Also anyone have a link to the stock Gallery APK from Gingebread?
Can use that instead.
Gallery 3D from the nexus days...still works
You may also need to check to ensure your syncs are working as well, just incase:
Located in the market.

But I also use picasa tool to upload. The gallery 3d and stock gallery uploads to the known 75%-25% gray pics. Using the picasa tool eliminates that issue...for me anyways.

Hello,
I am running the most recent version of Vincom's SUPERLITE JB. Everything works great on the ROM, which is my first custom, except I just found out the video camera will not record. I press the record button and everything happens like its supposed to. The clock shows up with the record symbol denoting the record time. I hit record again to stop the recording and nothing gets saved. The video is no where to be found.
This ROM is my daily user. Christmas is coming up and the wife and I would like to be able to record the kiddos. I have done a search of the forums and tried a a busybox command line that was supposed to help, but nothing has helped. I would have posted in that ROM's section, but I am so n00b that I am not allowed to do that. Any help would be most appreciated.
Thank you,
Tim

Well I know vincom didn't do anything to the camera most likely did u flash the 4.2 camera mod because a lot of us saw that camera mod doesn't work. If not I would dirty flash the ROM and see what happens if not switch to jedis CUZ I know it works on mine

video camera should be working, but 1080p video recording might have lines through it, 720p works perfect
edit:look in storage/sdcard0/dcim/ to see if the videos were saved, but it should be able to playback from the camera app, you must have installed something to mess up the media storage settings. also open the gallery and see if u see the videos there. does taking pics allow u to open them in the camera app
edit: it seems the picasa sync up can mess up the gallery settings in cm10, quote from official teamchopsticks faq:
"Picasa sync doesn't work (if you overwrite the Gallery with the Google version, you'll break the camera, don't do it). We need someone to port the sync code from the old Gallery3D app! "
So I checked around around on my phone and as far as I can tell the videos do not save. They are not in my gallery or in dcim. Photos save to the gallery fine and at accessible, just not video. I will try dirty flashing the ROM. I just don't know what I would have installed. I am running the ROM and gapps lite. No camera mod at all. Kinda weird.
I have the default gallery with the ROM and gapps light.
Thanks for the responses.
Tim

I have searched the best I can in the forum for this issue and found Gallery related issues but not like my issue on the Samsung.
Considering I am inept at technology and really have little skills in this area, I managed to flash SuperNexus on my old Samsung GT-I9000 and I am amazed that i was able to get it to work. I am very impressed and thankful for this ROM.
Info:
Baseband: I9000XXJVT
Kernel: 3.0.89-gb1c64eb
SuperNexus 3.0 smtd build 1
Build: JSS15J
SO FAR, I have only one issue that I cannot seem to resolve.
The Gallery is showing all of my pictures whether on the SD Card or the Phone and thumbnailing them as videos (without any actual thumbnail image because the video is presumable corrupt since it is actually a .jpg). Selecting any of these, of course, generates an error: "Can't play this video.'
The only image that has a thumbnail is in the Camera folder and was a picture I took with the camera. The other pictures in that folder are also thumbnailed as unplayable videos even though they were taken with the device when it was Gingerbread.
I have deleted the .thumbnails folder, renamed the directories, moved the folders around (varies suggestions I found while searching) to no avail. The images are valid - I can go into File Manager and they are listed in there, viewable and have thumbnails.
Rebooting doesn't change anything and the camera image that DOES work is STILL valid.
** I apologize if I missed a solution to this, although I did search.
I appreciate your help.

This is a nice app - I can live with this and be happy.
Although, there is one issue and from what I can tell it is NOT a QuickPic issue. In SMS(MMS) when sending a text message and using the attachment option, QuickPic appears as a choice to choose from just like Gallery - which is good, is what I expect. However, I mainly use WhatsApp for messaging. Its attachment option does not list QuickPic - only Gallery, Take photo, Video, Audio, Location, Contact. This seems like a WhatsApp issue and I hope they don't have those options hard coded. If anyone has any ideas, that would be great.
But all that said, this is a step forward for me and helps a lot - thanks!
Hey everyone! I have a problem with every N rom i've tried, that in some app like google photos, the default wallpaper picker, and the inbuilt file manager, lot of my camera pictures (from a specific date), and some of my wallpaper folders doesn't show up. But in other apps like totalcommander or Quickpic they are there. Do you guys have any ideas what's causing this? On MM roms everything works fine, and i haven't read anything like this from other users. I would appreciate any help or idea

If i snap a pic now its gona be there, but if i change to a different N rom or just do a clean flash, then the last photos the apps gonna show, those will be the ones i took in april. And with other wallpaper directories, the half of them are there but the other half is missing.

Are your photos dependent on Google Photos? Maybe they're in the cloud and can be accessed on another device.
Also, use a root file manager to search your device for all *.jpg.

Yeah tried already with google search but couldnt find anything that would be useful. But the link you gave me had one trick that seems to be good, or at least kind of, it's weird, but i have all the photos and walls for now.
Thank you for your help sir.
Hey,
I,ve tried to find some topics about the issue here, but no luck. When i take a picture in whatsapp, it could take over 10 to 20sec before is shows the photo and lets you send it. I believe this is since A12.
Some say that clearing cache of whatsapp ect would work but is only temporary.
you could just select the normal camera app, in whatsapp, but thats not realy an solution, and take a few more steps.
Does anyone have found a solution for it?>
i dont have solution but got the same problem
been facing same problem since long. on android 11 too i think. no solution.
Same here. It happens also when I attach photos in general.
