Anyone using the Poco F2 Pro on T-Mobile in the US?
I am. Reception is no different than my T-mobile OP 7pro. The F2pro also don't have tmobile 5g bands.
I tried to reply on Reddit to your question, but guess it didnt show due to low post count. I'm using a Xiaomi Mi 10 Global in the USA and I have VoLTE enabled over a Tmobile MVNO. Wifi calling does not really work properly, at least with the provided IMS settings. As stated above, 5G will NOT work in the USA due to Xiaomi missing necessary USA 5G bands; and 4G LTE may be a hit or miss depending on your area. As long as you're not getting the phone for 5G, it's an excellent purchase! It's not going to be necessary to have a 5G enabled phone for many years anyways, 4G is really fast enough. Hope this helps

Are you getting voLTE on T-Mobile? If so, did you have to use the dialer code to enable it?

Thanks for the info. I currently have a Mi 9 and have voLTE on T-Mobile and Fi (I did have to use the dialer code). I was just wondering if it's different for the F2 considering it lacks band 12 that the Mi 9 has. Looks like the Mi 10 global has the same bands as the F2, and you're getting voLTE, so I should be good. I also had a Mi A2 in the past, which had bands 2 and 4, which was fine, but voLTE wouldn't work, even with the dialer code. So calls defaulted to 3G, and I would constantly miss calls because it wouldn't ring. I just want to make 100% sure I can get voLTE with the F2 before buying.

Yes I'm getting voLTE and voWifi. I used the dialer code but the funny thing is to enable both I actually had to disable them. Even though after the code I get a prompt that the they're disable they are actually enabled.

No problem. I had Google Fi on my Pixel, then got the SIM to use for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Global and everything worked, but I just ended up going with another cheaper MVNO for Tmobile. The only complaint I have is generally I receive like 1-2 bars of reception in my house, when I go about 2 miles out it will jump up to 4+ bars. So when you receive your F2 Pro after setting up the APN settings, ensure in "preferred network type" it is 5G and not LTE! It will obviously not connect with 5G and default back to 4G LTE, but I had a random bug when setting it manually to 4G without voLTE, my phone calls would cut out at exactly 8minutes on the dot, NO Idea why that would happen, just giving you a warning lol. You don't need to use the dialer code by the way, you can set the "Use VoLTE" in the Mobile Network Settings and you will see a VoLTE button ontop. Have fun with your future F2, it's a great purchase .

I live in Greece and currently my carrier doesn't support my phone for 5G.
I want to ask if I can enable it manualy by rooting my phone
Just ask yourself after thinking about that.... your PROVIDER does not support a feature you want. Does it really change anything if you do whatever change to your mobile?
Btw: OP 8T supports 5G by default. No need to root for that.
Carrier supports 5g but a stupid identification of the device doesn't let me use it
Hm.. in such case it might be possible if you can change device´s recognition to one that´s identified "correctly". I´m not sure but I assume I´ve got the same problem in Switzerland. Haven´t watched closely but I don´t remember seeing 5G in display already.
Years ago you could have changed device ID by changing build.prop. But afaik they changed that and I don´t know how to do nowadays.. Sorry, hopefully there´ll be anyone else helping you out.
If the issue is your carrier support bands that do not exist in your phones antennae then i do not believe you will find any relief with root.
Two things need to happen: 1st is that your provider's 5G bands are actively supported on the phone. 2nd is your provider needs to certify (that is allow) your phone to access 5G on their network. So then, if the bands are there then you need to contact your provider and somehow get them to allow your phone on their 5G network! I was using the 8T on AT&T and NO 5G...moved to T-Mobile and 5G was available the moment I inserted the SIM.
OP8T have 5G enabled only certain networks. In Greece not enabled by you can follow my blog guide to enable manually if you like: https://mt.ax/uLgc2 . There is also list of 5G enabled networks and bands.
Does anyone have an idea on how I can get 5g on my op9 ,I pay for the service and I've tried a lot of settings fiddlin ,but nothing seems to connect .maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree all together ,lots of crossed facts online about this .Is it possible ?
What service do you have?

Go into dialer settings #*#*4636*#*# phone info and make sure Nr is selected
AT&T doesn't have the OP9 as a certified phone on their network. There is no way around this, either. I've tried everything and even selecting NR doesn't yield 5G on the device. It has something to do with the bands AT&T users for 5G.
Do you get the 5G symbol or does it just stay on LTE?

This right here. As a former AT&T employee (corporate office, not retail level), I can tell you that it is most likely that the handset does not use the same 5G bands as AT&T.
AT&T primarily uses the n260 band (39GHz mmWave) and the Global OnePlus 9 does not use that band. In fact, none of the models of OnePlus 9 use n260. Now, from what I understand, AT&T *does* provide low-band n5 service in some areas so it IS possible that some users may report having 5G service on their OP9, but it's purely because they're in a low-band n5 area and as soon as they move into a more populated area where it switches to n260Go to and see, their phone will drop back to LTE.
What I can tell you from my real world experience is that 5G is really nothing to write home about. I live in one of the largest markets in the US and 5G is really not any faster than LTE most of the time. In some cases, it's actually SLOWER.

The LE2115 OnePlus 9 has AT&T's low band and C-Band 5G bands, with no mmWave, the LE2125 9 Pro has all of AT&T's 5G bands yet AT&T does not want to whitelist it for 5G access on their network. Verizon certified it for their 5G (OnePlus 9, nationwide 5G, and you can use QPST to enable C-Band on the 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, nationwide 5G, you can use QPST to enable C-Band on the 9 Pro, and mmWave), why can't AT&T?
Hello everyone, so I got the Korean version of S22 Ultra, and I cannot enable 5G here in the UK, but the N78 band is supported by the Korean version S22 Ultra, and all the carriers in the UK are using N78 (I have tried both O2 and Three, and I cannot enable 5G on either of them).
I then saw this post [Philippines]SM-N9860 TGY/BRI/CHC Snapdragon Users|5G Reception Fix, and I've tried to enter the secret code *#0808#, but the phone does not react to it, so I guess something strange is going on. Also, I've tried this method, which is not working, too.
Oh, and I just want to mention that the S21 Ultra I brought in China can enable 5G on Three's network, but not on O2. This is just confusing. Could anyone help me to enable 5G on this model? Thanks.
Have you tried on of those Android apps that check your network speed connection? it might just be that you're getting 5G speed but the icon is not showing due to your CSC.

Hi, thanks for the reply. No, I don't think so, because the download speed is significantly lower (500m vs 10-50m), as well as the latency. Also, "SIM card status" in the setting showed that the "Mobile data network type" is "LTE" instead of "NR NSA" (or SA, but there's no SA in UK as far as I know).
And even 4G (LTE) signal is weaker on the newer S22 Ultra model, does this have something to do with the frequency band as well?

Yes, I've tried both methods for One UI 3.0 and 4.0, and the secret code is just not working. I suspect that Samsung either changed the code or prevented it from running on the Korean model (since I saw one website claimed that those secret codes do work on S22 Ultra). And yes, 5G is enabled in the "Network mode" setting.

I'm in UK and after years away from xda,I've come here as a last resort,my 5g doesn't work also, when selecting network to 5g/4g,I get no signal,1 bar if I'm lucky, calls don't come through, then WiFi calling kicks in,so at the min,my temporary solution is the network is set to 3g/2g,I tried your mentioned code, screenshot shows what I get
Ok folks, here's what I found yesterday. Using the app called "Cellular-z", it appears that both my Korean version S22U and Chinese version S21U support 5G in the UK, sort of.
But they do not support N78 (or there's no N78 coverage/ the wall is too thick in my home etc), the only 5G NR bands they support is N1 (and N3? Although it feels more like an LTE+ band).
When switching on 5G in the control panel, both phones are using the 5G network, however, only the Chinese version phone shows the 5G icon. The Korean version does not. But the speed is significantly faster on both phone when 5G are enabled. It boosts from 50Mbps to 450-500Mbps in my home (But the latency is similar whether 5G is enabled, maybe because it's not using N78 or the wall is too thick).
I suspect the Korean version S22U only think N78 is the ''true 5G''.

Yes, they both have a download speed ~450Mbps, and latency ~25ms, which is what you expected from N1. N78 is not supported by both versions (or there is no coverage in my area, which I highly doubt that).
No issues using EE in UK. This pictures are from EH16 Edinburgh UK.
5G reception as good as on other 5G phones, didn't do any tricks or hacks, just works out of the box.

did someone found a solution to this? same issue with us version U U1. 5G doesn't appear. also tried to flash firmware with bootloader 2 (AVDC) but no luck. Google dialer method wont workanymore on oneui 4.0 i think.
I have this same issue with my s21+ SM-G996N, supposedly supports n78 bands (5G) but is stuck on LTE+ everywhere I go.
What carrier would I have to move to in order for 5g to work? Would it work with EE sims?

My S22+ also shows up incompatible. I unlocked all the bands on it using a guide on XDA and got 28 NSA, 78 NSA-SA bands to work, still shows up incompatible. The indian version of these phones possibly have 28 SA band which is required on Jio since it's only SA.
Edit: Airtel should work since its a NSA network for now.
