Unlocking the bootloader (Possible 3 months after phone announcement) - OPPO Find X2 Pro Questions & Answers

I used Google Translate on "http://www.aiyanqing.com/daddefdadbbbv.html," which provided some clarification (and hope) of unlocking the Chinese variant Find X2 Pro. The website's information is pasted below:
"According to the official website announcement, all the following conditions must be met to apply for the in-depth test: the time to market for the model must be more than 3 months; no application record within 60 days; the login time of the OPPO account on the machine exceeds 60 days; the number of in-depth test users has not reached the quota limit; Non-government enterprises and operators customize mobile phones.
In addition, the mobile phone after joining the test plan cannot be guaranteed. May have unpredictable effects on mobile phones
Unlock tutorial:
Confirm that the mobile phone version is the official version, click the questionnaire to submit the application mobile phone IMEI number, submit the IMEI application, after the model / version review is passed, the OTA will detect the upgrade package that supports in-depth testing, and you need to upgrade to this version first."
So, we may see a possible "in-depth testing" apk in June or July time (fingers crossed)...

Sorry to drag up a old thread but is there any hope of this on European devices?, Would love to see some custom ROM development but if they limit bootloader unlock to China only I can't see it happening...

I have both actually, but going to try the Chinese one. Have realised though that I've not been logged in for 60 days so won't be approved yet.

I also want to root my find x2 pro, currently available global version 12/512 ceramic. I finally want to get rid of Netflix and Standard YouTube with a few standard apps that I can't turn off. Does anyone have any idea how I can turn it off or delete it? If so, please contact us, thank you very much

Hello..is there any ways to convert from.CN rom to global rom for Find X2 Pro Lamborghini Edition?

At the time of writing No, it's locked (rigidly) to the Chinese rom. It could change in the future but, I doubt it

It seems the rule about having to be logged in for 60 days isn't there anymore. I applied a few days ago on a phone that I'd just setup. I translated the rules and the one about not having applied in 60 days still stands, but no mention having to be logged in for 60 days.
I now have to wait until SEP 10th to check the unlock status.
---------- Post added at 01:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:34 AM ----------
So assuming it gets unlocked, will I be able to load the global run on the phone?
And how do I do it, does it have to be TWRP or can I just do via fastboot and recovery mode?

It can and will do. I don't have an ATT phone as I am in the UK and most of the reports I have had are from Europe which is where I am taking the versions from. Please let me know what you need added and then yes it will apply to everyone. Thanks

I have added a further bootloader and firmware option. If yours still isn't listed, please let me know so I can add it, and I will post back here when it is in.
This is now featured on The Verge, the MS support forums, and I have personally emailed the CEOs of both HTC UK and MS UK.

Thanks, info of people that don't have reboots is also useful as it gives us a control.
im using my htc 8x for almost 3 weeks´now. there was no reboot and no Crash in the meantime.
The lumias have the reboot Problem too, so this survey is pretty useless. I' m pretty sure it has nothing to to with 8X firmware. Vor most people it helps to switch to 3G, 2G or add a manual APN.

In my htc8x there was not any reboot, but i have some battery "problems". Sometimes the % go down quickly, almost 15% per hour, but the phone is cold, is not hot as we expected because of high use of the processor, later i connect the phone to the charger and charges around 40% in five minutes, that is not possible so i have one theory about that: the software that controls the % need a fix, it tells you that you are loosing battery but that is not real

I have to take back my words. I've had two reboots this week:
- While listning to music
- Unlocking lockscreen
I *do* remember having run some 7.5 app before the reboot. But I read MS is dispatching a ota hotfix in December, so here's hoping :victory:
Had the phone since yesterday, didn't get a reboot yet.
Firmware not in survey, got firmware 1532.20.1006.666 with Bell/Aliant in Canada. Bootloader ain't in the survey either, I'm running 0.0.1532.20(156287).

Mate 9 MHA-L29C636

Hi, I am a newbee to this forum, however I have used Mate 7 & 8 earlier, with little trouble.
I bought a Mate 9 from Wondamobile in England at a very high price, after making sure it was MHA-L29 model. I received the Mate, apparently from China in a shabby package and it was MHA-29, however the Asian model C636 with B110. Then I started reading xdadevelopers, because I had trouble with installing Microsoft Exchange and similar stuff, after 3 days of reading and trying to use the Funky-app, I gave up, and decided that I had bought a very expensive Camera, that could not be updated (tried 100-times to update via the Mate and HiSuite) I even found and downloaded updates that I could not find out of how to install (after 3 days of intensive reading ).
But this afternoon when I took a closer look, at the update-app of the phone, I noticed 3 small dots on the top line of the app of which one was: "Get latest full package" (or something like that as mine is running Danish language). I pressed the line and was immidiately asked if I wanted to download and install B138, I was even presented with update info., so I happily pressed YES and are now the proud owner of a Mate 9 that speaks Danish to me and handle my Exchange mail perfect.
Hope someone can use this info

Hi duraaraa!
No I did not succeed in setting up the FunkyHuawei DNS, because my Spanish provider apparently would not allow me (I partly live in Spain). So I actually decided to wait and give your Funky system a shot after I returned to Denmark (where I can handle the DNS).
But I actually just updated via the "3-dots" on the phone, after trying normal updating on the update-app, a lot of times everyday since I received the phone 1/1.

In that case it's safe to assume that your phone was on Huawei's approved list for that firmware version. I didn't know about the downloading full firmware feature before, though, so it will give me something to look into and reverse engineer

Didn't work for me (sob!) on my Euro version in the UK.
It didn't work for me as well when I try that in Canada.
I can confirm that this was the method I discovered in the USA using the MHA-L29C636. Sadly, it did not improve the MMS handling for the native messaging app.

So this would confirm that the updates are not dependent on the sim matching the phone region?
Is anyone aware of the possibility to flash firmware using the "DLOAD" folder on an external SD-Card?
It works for the MHA-L29C636 model (I've tested it).
My problem is that once i had it flashing from that dload folder, I forgot to delete it. So I set up my Mate 9 completely and when re-entering the eRecovery it flashed that ROM once again and did also do a factory reset.
So I had to set it up once again.
Is there any known possibility to disable factory resetting when flashing from the dload folder?
Btw. I have to admit that I was on B158 before and the ROM in that dload folder was B110. So it did a downgrade when I re-entered eRecovery.
need Dload files Oreo MHA c636 for update my mate9 nougat need drive link or mega FFinder no works more

Mate 30 Pro and custom ROM's

Hey everyone
I just heard about Huawei been a bit more relaxed about rooting their Mate 30 Pro.
At First I was like that is AWESOME, the idea of been able to use the Mate 30 Pro with pixel experience (my favourite custom Rom) sounds amazing.... best Pixel stock experience on a beast like Mate 30 would be epic.
Then I found a strange taste in my mouth. There would still be some draw backs. Thought I would list some concerns and people could answer some of those concerns.
(Note....each concern/question has a solution or comment I think about the issue.....this is just my view and not to be taken as the only view)
1. Lack of full potential from cameras on the back?
I know some custom ROM camera apps are pretty good l, but to really experience the best from the camera's you would have to have some access to l the Mate 30 Pro stock camera app package to allow.
A thought I had is that Huawei could make a APK that's a bit like Goodlock and this app would allow you to download the stock camera app and other stock apps that people may use on their Huawei devices.
2. LTE and 5G??
I can remember using my Samsung S7E with Pixel Experience but one of the draw backs was that I could get 4G but I didn't get the extra features like LTE, wifi calling, HD call quality ect. If this remained the case then this would be a major draw back to a 2019 flagship device.
Maybe Huawei could needed coding and solutions directly to custom Rom developers....or allow then to be a open source so every ROM devloper had access these features.
3. General Custom ROM glitches and bugs
We are all used to our ROMs having strange behaviours every now and ad gain but do we want these bugs on our £800+ smartphone that we use eveqersryday.
This solution seems obvious Huawei need to work closely with custom Rom developers and helping them Iron these issues out.
4. Some apps dont work on custom Roms no matter what.
Back to my S7e I was able to almost all of the apps on my phone thanks to magisk manager but some apps still had issues. My samsung gear app would pair with my gearfit 2 no matter what. It downloaded but it would not find any devices. I found a fix but that caused my Google to stop working, so had to put it back. This happened with other apps as well.
The only solution I can think of is app developers would have to made aware that mate 30 users could be using rooted devices with Huawei's blessing and ensure there apps work on rooted versions of the phone.
5. Is Warranty still safe.
If Huawei are actually cool with us rooting our P30 Pro then they need to put their money where their mouth is and allow this activity with their manufactures warranty, private insurance companies need to follow suit as well.
Huawei could give us manufactures warranty but with the condition that if possible we have to flash the stock firmware of the device before sending it out.
That's it....that's just s few of my thoughts and possible solutions and would love to hear what you guys think and if you have any worries or questions of your own? Maybe if we make enough noise Huawei will notice us and take our ideas and answer our questions themselves.
(Make it easier....put which number comment your answering to so we all have a better idea what's going on)
Keep it friendly guys remember these are mine and others thoughts.... none of us are implying that these thoughts are right.
By the way... I am a Note 9 user but I am really excited of the potential of Huawei been the ultimate custom ROM brand.
Official Pixel Experience is pretty much nill on Huawei Devices. I see the Honor 10 has
again been dropped.
When the Ban is lifted Huawei will lock the bootloader again no doubt.
they have changed their mind, they will not unlock the BL for the Mate 30.
the only place this device will sell well is China, they are screwed pretty much everywhere else.
I just bought one in shanghai yesterday. Its a very neat and fast phone. especially the 40w charging is cool. you can watch percentages go up...
I asked for the 5G version but i was told its not availbale and should come November. I was wondering though if its already built in and just needs a software patch... like back then when Nvidia was reducing performace on Graphic cards by disabling shaders by firmware...

I would say most likely it works, as the China version covers pretty much all the network.
You could find out the specs from their website and check if the LTE bands covers T-Mobiles. It works on Bell's network though.

Most likely a review unit like others have had, release software dosnt have OEM unlock option in developers, if something comes of the int. Version we may be able to get rebranding but has yet to be seen
He commented about it being a devkit under the comment by Markus Haier here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5pxYxPSbl_s and said he was going to make a video on it but still nothing.
@o012 Well my P30-Pro (VOG-L09) has OEM unlocking under developer options but haven't tried unlocking.
All works in canada except certain banking apps google backup netflix google pay androis assistant needs to be rebooted everytime. Rest all works fine including google photo backup
Has anyone installed a custom ROM and TWRP to it yet.
Could a Gapps package help the issues? Gapps include all the google services and system setting to keep google stable and updating.
Think Gapps could be installed via the phones built in bootloader??.

Can I use a rooted handset from China with Google Pay?

I feel an itch to order a Mate 30 Pro from China, partly as a nod to way back when I ordered my first XDA phone from Hong Kong 15 years ago and became a member of this forum! But I must have a phone that I can use with Google pay and banking apps, which means that it has to work with Magisk or similar hidden root, like my current S9 does. So can anybody tell me if that is actually possible? I found it for £800 from China, with 3-4 days delivery, so I could have it by the weekend if that actually works.

First off all, Huawei isn't giving anymore unlock bootloader codes, you will have to pay ~200$ to Funky Huawei in order to get one (and don't know how and if will work).
We can't atm (or at least we didn't test it because of lack of developers) root on EMUI 10. And as i've read and know, on Chinese version you can't use Google, even if you sideload apps, as is written in this threads, it won't work.
So, short story is : if you really want root, go for other OEM (Pixel, Samsung, Xiaomi, etc). If you can skip root and want Mate 30 Pro to use with Google apps, go for an European version, LIO-L29 :highfive:

They stopped giving unlock bootloader codes 2 years ago, so only way is to pay @200$ (not tested yet method, only available few days ago) for Funky Huawey, but there is no TWRP, no way of extracting boot.img or recovery.img + kernel.img from EMUI 10 UPDATE. APP file so can be rooted using Magisk....

Requesting help: Building for Huawei Mate 20 Pro

I'm going to start this by saying that I believe I have the ability to unlock the bootloader. There's a script that (in theory) allows you to bruteforce the unlock code. You do have to downgrade to EMUI 9.1 using HiSuite though that is at least possible even if you're currently on 10.1 like I am. Multiple downgrades is required.
While this is going on, I have gone ahead and created a Github repository under the username sackmaniac for my device (LYA-L09, 128GB storage, I have given codename as rickastley and I promise that isn't a joke) so assistance with what needs to be in the repository would also be appreciated. I'm quite new to this. LINK
Eventual goal to me personally is a LineageOS build.
Preparation for device rickastley:
1. Downgrade to EMUI 9.1.
2. Use programminghoch10 / SkyEmie bruteforce method. Expect it to take a long time LINK
3. There's a TWRP build somewhere on the Internet, I'm on mobile right now so cannot currently find the link.
4. Extract proprietary blobs. Someone will need to tell me how to do this on a stock ROM because that's I have.
5. The actual process of building whatever is needed.
Hint - there's OpenKirin for our device
OpenKirin
openkirin.net
Builds on AEX/LOS. Developers however refuse to share any details of internal components (sketchy). EMUI 10.1 might be also containing new drivers for certain phone features for new android version compatibly, and possibly cannot be extracted on non-rooted phone. (no root - no way to get it out), so that sadly makes EMUI 9/9.1 the only driver source.
A lineage os stable build for emui 9.1 would still be awesome !!!

Thanks anyway. Btw if this person is watching this thread, @ me.
All unlock codes were going from centralized technical database on Huawei side. Huawei did shutdown it, but opened it rarely for unknown reason (perhaps, someone had to fix something?). Database is down for long time now, it might never come back online. I would suggest to forget about this option altogether.
Instead, consider A/B Android builds for different experience of non-Huawei OS. Tho, I'm not sure how realistic it is on this device. (Haven't bothered trying)

This database... Was it made public? Is there an internet archive somewhere?
A/B is a non starter, Huawei devices barely support Treble. It seems like bootloader is the only option, however it would be nice if it's easy for anyone who wants to be able to unlock their bootloader. Mostly from a right to repair standpoint.

No. It was only accessible by technical personnel of Huawei (I guess that's who was leaking those codes afterall... Some insider). And it worked more like "enter IMEI" and wait 25 minutes to get unlock code back. Not a simple search/exportable database. Afterall, IMEI leaking might be problematic for such bases.

No. It was only accessible by technical personnel of Huawei (I guess that's who was leaking those codes afterall... Some insider). Theoretically if you're good with such kind of things, you could try with testpoint, however, I have no idea where it will lead.
This is where its located on our device (expand spoiler on + sign)

I shall open Google translate and take a look. Thank you.
Edit: had a look. Its based off a paid service, would rather avoid them if possible but that is seeming less and less possible. I have contacted DC Unlocker to see if they can unlock our devices. I still don't think it should cost 4 EURO to look through a database but there you go.

Test point has nothing to do with DC unlocker. It's a way to physically shorten device to load engineering bootloader with potentially more permissions available. It's just DC unlocker and such tools previously had a way to read bootloader code directly via loopholes in devices with old firmwares. It's not longer the case for devices of past decade I believe. Test point is available, but what it leads to - is a question. At least it might be possible to dump everything from device, including potentially encrypted bootloader key.
Link above - don't read top post, look at last post in page that has attachment with test point location to be shortened.

Ah. That makes more sense. Obvious downside of this method (if I can read correctly) is needing to open the device up, which isn't exactly easy. Or if it's the engineering build, then that seems to only be for the dual sim device (I believe they have different firmwares, if that isn't true I shall try using DLOAD with it)
UPDATE: Posted a rant / open letter about this on the official Huawei forums, let's see how long until someone from Huawei deletes it.
Good to know!

Here you go. Also to be clear, being reported for hate speech from this would be less than ideal.
